I recently had surgery, and at the time I came home, I had both my cat and one of my grandma's cats staying with me.

- Within hours of surgery, I wake up from a nap to my cat gently sniffing at my incisions with great alarm.

- I was not allowed to shower the first day after surgery, and the cats, seeing that The Large Cat is not observing its cleaning ritual, decided I must be gravely disabled and compensated by licking all the exposed skin on my arms, face, and legs.

- I currently have to sleep with a pillow over my abdomen because my cat insists on climbing on top of me and covering my incisions with her body while I sleep (which is very sweet but not exactly comfortable without the pillow). She also lays across me facing my bedroom door, presumably on guard for attackers who may try to harm me while I'm sleeping and injured.

That's love. 🐈‍⬛🐈❤️

I'm in the mood right now to be an angry little hater, so let me rant for a bit.

Racist self hating asians are THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I get it we all have insecurities but don't project your shit into other people. One of my highschool bullies were the very definition of self hating asians, they would often make fun of my appearance bc of how I apparantly look more stereotypically asian compared to them. They would make fun of my hair color and tell me how ugly it is because it's so black, and then they will compare their hair to mine and say "look, my hair is so brown compared to yours" even though it also looks black. Fucking Idiots.

They would also make fun of how ugly my skin color is because it looks so "yellow" it's like they get the kick out making fun of me just so they can feel a little less asian. It's too bad that unlike them, I'm actually not ashamed of my asian features.

And then college came and I had the misfortune of being classmates once again with one of those bullies (and seeing her make more friends than me, which only made my school days there worse)

She saw me and commented on my dyed brown hair. We were surrounded by new people at that time, so of course she can't openly make fun of me, but still, maybe it's just me but I can sense the tone in her voice, it was kinda mocking like "ha, remember how your hair used to be black lol" but the truth is I only dyed my hair brown bc my very strict college gave me limited choices (we weren't allowed to dye our hair funky colors) it had nothing to do with me being ashamed of my black hair.

Anyways I'm so glad I'm out of that school. Fuck her, fuck them. Honestly idk where she is right now, if she's still studying or if she dropped out. (she kinda sucked at school) I'm glad I have the freedom to express myself now without giving a crap about what others think.
