Perhaps they ought not to have eaten the dragon. There had been people objecting to it at the time. Surely such meat was poisonous. Perhaps it was even an affront, an insult to some intangible order of nature they ought to honour.

But the city was starving, the siege had gone on too long, and the king's troops were still a week's march away. The scorched earth would be fertile again in time, but right now it was barren. Right now there were mouths to feed. So they changed their crossbows for butcher knives and got to work.

None of the royal commanders asked any questions that could not be answered. After all, their aid had come shamefully late. The dragon's horned skull made a noble gift, a fitting tribute from a triumphant city to its humbled king. Who would have thought to question them?

And none of the townsfolk spoke up, when the first golden-eyed babes were born. Children who grew up barefoot and fearless, clambering over the city's patched and rebuilt roofs like they had no notion of falling, with a strange glitter to their skin when the sunlight hit it just so. No one breathed a word about dragons.

Because soon enough there were deft, young hands taking loaves straight out of the oven, heedlessly lifting iron from the forge, plunging into boiling laundry water. And some of them more wondrous still, wild, warm-skinned youths, with inexplicable knowledge and peculiar remedies.

A blessing, their families said proudly. A blessing after so much hardship. Which it was, in its way. This city would never fear dragon fire again.

This teeth poll has been plaguing me for months.

I’ve delayed posting it because technically to be the most complete it could possibly be it would need about 20 options and a ton of explaining to be understandable, and I couldn't find a way to ask the original question with enough detail while limited to tumblr's 12 options.

The original question was “in what order do you normally brush your teeth?” and divided the mouth into top, bottom, left, right, inside, and outside. Since listing out every combination in every order is impossible in the tumblr format, I’ve simplified it as best I can here into something that I think makes sense, but please bear with me and read carefully as this is still somewhat difficult to put into words.

over the last few months, i have very unkindly spoken heresies to our great friend and overlord Intellectural Property, and i have done this mostly because i hate Artists and the Soul. however recently i have Repented, and so my protgégé magnesium oxide and i have produced our own intellectural property in the form of poems, placing every single letter Our Selves with no reference to language or culture.

to prevent any accidental plagiarism, we offloaded the creative direction and control of the project to markov chains and cut-up boards, to sohw our profound and grovelling respect for everybody's Intellectural Property. and ithink this makes us saints--we expect to be canonized shortly

This does not apply to Firefox for iOS (iPhone), btw. To quote Mozilla, “Apple has created a proprietary iOS extension system which is incompatible with Firefox add-ons and extensions for Android, Mac, Windows and Linux. Also, iOS extensions written for other iOS apps won't work on Firefox for iOS”

This might change in the future with a recent lawsuit against Apple, but right now there are no extensions for Apple users.

oh so in case anyone didn't realise, you can use add-ons in mobile firefox just like regular firefox, including ublock origin. and download newpipe for adfree yt too to like. never see a fucking ad online again.

Also a note: Kiku takes commissions. Just thought would make a post about it because Kiku hasn't posted about it in a while. Have taken commissions before, it's just been a while.

Kiku is best at drawing animals, anthros, and ponies, but has drawn lots of different things before. Process usually follows: pencil sketch on paper, then digital lineart, then color, if it's a color piece. Usually it would only be finished digital pieces but Kiku has a printer with a scanner now, so can do traditional sketch pieces and then scan and digitally send them to the commissioner. Right now traditional mediums are limited to pencil and paper ( Kiku only has a limited number of colored pencils suitable for commissioned pieces and no lining pens)

Kiku can do (when have the materials):

Traditional: Pencil and paper sketch, color pencil, and pen lineart pieces.

Digital: Sketch, lineart, full color pieces.

Prices are flexible and vary depending on piece complexity, medium, and how long the piece takes.

If there is enough interest Kiku can make a commission price page.
