oh man, my pride and joy of the start of 2021. we had a lot of freedom with this project, so i was able to go all out and model my Monstersona from the time. every time i see this model im amazed I was able to pull this design off so well :,)
Little Dragon Cat from my End-of-the-year group project, which lasted from around May - August 2020
I had slightly less of a hand in this model and design, but I still Sculpted, retopo'd, UV'd, rigged and textured this guy. Production pics under the cut!
Animation sequences made from April-May 2020. these are some of my first 3D character animations! I was also in the height of my Half-Life fixation of this time, so of course i had to use an iconic voice clip for my lip-syncing assignment.
These were all put into my Animation reel (that's admittedly a bit dated but ignore that) which you can watch Here.
This is the one asset Im happy to show off from my "Environment project" from 2020. The rest didnt turn out very good, but I think almost everyone else struggled with this project, both because long distance learning is hard, but also we were learning a new engine.
If you recognize where exactly this comes from, props to you.
this was a small pre-project before my main Year 2 character project at the end of 2020. Completed in 2 weeks.
more production stuff under the cut :)
i was instructed to design a cute "minion-like" character, something you might see in a low-level area in a video game. we were restricted to under 7,000 tris, and 1 texture map.
Took some visual inspiration from Acorn Weevils and various WW1 gas-mask and soldier garment designs, mainly French.
Little Wizard Mouse from my End-of-the-year group project, which lasted from around May - August 2020
I made the initial concept, sculpted, retopo'd, rigged and animated this lil guy :,) My teammates assisted with the finalized concept, textures and UVs.
kind of just a intro project and test render for a bigger project. this was my first time messing with Unreal Engine. i believe i also made the wall texture using Substance Designer.
so, this was an interesting project from 2020. i made a digital composite, combining a real photo of my old room, and 3d models into a realistic image. i havent had to use this method since, but it was still a unique experience.
the composited mask may seem familiar to friends, and i eventually use it in a later project :]
my first 3d character from early 2020, Kansif Kilorak, based off the D&D character i was playing at the time! Half-orc bard woman, shes much cooler in my head but i was limited to my skill at the time.
extras and rotatable render under the cut

i have a shit ton of progress pics. last one became an inside joke with my friends lmao.
