A garden for Yín

This illustration was inspired by the rescue story of Yín, a bunny who suffered a dog attack but afterwards got to know human kindness and love. He was only 8 weeks old when he suffered the attack and the dog's owner solution was to euthanize him, however he was rescued by some compassionate ladies and brought to Feraz Project to save his life. There he had a new life filled with compassion, care and love, he demonstrated an inspiring bravery and will to live. He had to go under several veterinary procedures to fully restore his health and condition but unfortunately he did not make it through all of them. But despite having a short life he left an invaluable imprint in every one of us who followed his journey.

Golden Zodiac

For inktober 2022 I wanted to create a collection combining ink with metallic watercolor. Recently I’ve been fascinated with astrology (as many others) so I thought it would be a good theme for the collection, therefore I used the main objects of each zodiac sign: their character representation, their flower, their element and their constellation. I draw them in ink against a golden background. I’m very pleased with the results and in the near future I plan to make reproductions in a myriad of products. On my instagram I shared some more behind the scenes of these illustrations, and on my YT channel you can see the process of every one of them. I hope you like them.

Voyagers

This scene from Star Trek Voyager and the story of the characters really got to my heart and so I had to paint it, thereafter it became a birthday present for a very special person in my life.

Wouldn't be awesome to travel to outer space and see amazing things? It's already amazing to look at the images taken by telescopes and I'm so mesmerized by them that I'll continue to recreate them with my brushes.

Casper Linocut

"Casper" is an illustration I designed inspired by a cat I rescued a while ago. I named him Casper because he's a white very friendly cat, but he was stray and had an accident and lost one of his eyes, however I rescued him, took him to the vet and fortunately recovered well. So in his honor I drew him and created a lino stamp. This was my first attempt at lino printing and I'm totally happy with the result and can't wait to do another design.

Casper found his forever home and I will always remember him through this lino print and the lovely memories he left on me.
