it doesnt matter where I go, the things I make are always asked to be framed in the context of others.

I made an animation about my dog, and it was asked how could this be framed to a wider audience. maybe I dont want it to be for a wider audience. maybe its just for me. me alone. maybe I made it due to the joy of creating. maybe I made it cos I love and miss my dog.

why do others need to care? why is it so important to the quality of my art for it to be targeting a particular audience. why is the audience being me not good enough. I dont get it. if it brings me joy, why is it so bad that im the only audience
