"will it be excused because it's cute when a man they see as a twink does it" Love the implication you do not see Essek as a twink
i mean i certainly do not see him as the 14 yr old the vast majority of folk draw him as yes
i accept he is probably "twinkish" as caleb says he cant grow facial hair or at least is smooth faced, and he is youthful compared to other elves, but he is still a whole Man. i like that his official art by hannah friederichs gives him slightly broader features especially shoulder-wise when some tend to draw him scarily waifish.

The Meeting on the Turret Stairs but Make It Shadowgast
After more than a year, this painting is done! This is one of my favorite paintings, and it was wonderful to reimagine it to suit one of my favorite pairings. :D This is by far the most I have ever worked on a painting, and I learned so much while making it. Please enjoy all the details I crammed in there to find.
Some close-ups under the cut!
And where it started, the original painting and the sketch:
in light of police across the country cracking down on pro palestine protests with brutal force, it feels like a great time to remind everyone to shut the fuck up around cops. don't make small talk, dont act friendly, don't fucking engage with them!! if you are arrested DO NOT speak without a lawyer present. protest organizers, get into contact with local pro bono lawyers who can be there for your arrested comrades. no matter what, if cops are there, shut the fuck up unless you are actively doing a protest chant. dont tell cops why you were there, dont tell them if you're affiliated with the school you may be protesting at, dont tell them if you came there with anyone, dont tell them anything!!!
I dont know if you are still taking requests, but I saw the Elrond healing Lindir image and had a burning desire to see Thranduil clutching at Oropher's body after the Battle of Dagorlad and was wondering if maybe you would be so sweet as to destroy me with this?

Veth is a curvy halfling woman with braided hair, facing to the right and smiling. They are wearing matching dresses and button jewelry, and holding hands, back-to-back. Robots don't blush but this has been FCG's metaphorical mood for the past few episodes and I love that for them. 😊

🧡: What is a popular (serious) theory you disagree with? honestly i am the origin or close to the origin of so many cr theories i feel like this is hard to answer lol..... i guess, i have, since his very first moments of screentime, trusted devexian to be a complex character, and have hated the idea that he would "start an evil robot uprising". that is a disservice to matts storytelling expanding on isaac asimov's robotic questions, and, while not intentionally problematic i know, the trope stems from the fear of a marginalized group rising up. robot characters while not real are very obvious class/sometimes racial metaphors (the very origin of them being from rossums robots, a play about a race of humans created solely for labor), and it is an interesting & concerning indictment of our culture that we see any robot with sentience in a story as a threat. im very glad he, frida, & fcg shunt or twist this idea entirely.
🖤: Which character is not as morally good as everyone else seems to think? i think yall know my answer but, id say orym. thats not to say he isnt moral, because he is fundamentally a good man. but people act like hes an ultimate moral backbone when even he has admitted he can only see through the shades of his own grief. and once again, thats not to say thats invalid. but he pushes his friends, he creates contingency plans to take them out, he shuts down the necessary conversations the bells need to have about the gods because he cant see a goalpost past ludinus, and of course, im still haunted by the bor'dor scene. i do not see him as The Moral Lens; i see him as a cracked lens. along with the rest of the bells.
