Good morning and I just did some rereading ya know (coz I'm clearly insane) and I can't deal with how fucking stupid it is for the Suriel to say in ACOWAR he meant Rhys when he said “Stay with the High Lord.” I’m sure y’all had this discussion long before but it’s new to me and hey, I’m allowed to be mad on my blog right?

Like in ACOTAR, first of all, the Suriel specifically starts talking about “the High Lord” saying “I know a good many things about the High Lord of the Spring Court.”

And the quote then goes:

“Stay with the High Lord, human … He will shield you from it, so stay close to him, and all will be righted.”

Okay sure maybe the Suriel was giving her a riddle of which High Lord, right? WRONG. Because the next quote goes:

“The High Lord does not know that you came here today, does he?”

Now why on earth would that be Rhysand? This line is fucking Tamlin because he’s the only Feyre didn’t tell, so what is going on with this stupid Suriel? Does it know everything except English grammar? If you are referring to two people you are supposed to fucking specify? But noooo. We are supposed to be fucking awed that GASP what wat a plot twist, it meant Rhysand all along.

UM NO. Because there’s more:

“Run for the High Lord’s manor. Do not forget what I told you—stay with the High Lord, and live to see everything righted … Free me and return to the High Lord’s side.”

So uh, if this is Rhysand so is she supposed to run all the way to the night court, hm? And why would she RETURN to Rhysand? She’s not even met him yet!!

Like literally fuck Sarah because what the fuck. Why retcon things which cannot be retconned? Like she can literally have made this as Feyre could have been safe with Tamlin but she left him so she wasn’t safe but she was free? Or something? Anything? Or like, never bring this up again like. Guys I’m so fucking furious right now. I can’t. I just fucking can’t.

Hellooooooooooooo! It is a big deal!!! 🍄 ⇢ share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings Not sure which fandoms to pick for these so here's 3 of them that I know we share in common. L&C - Locklyle (duh): Lockwood always closes his eyes last right before kissing Lucy just so he can look at her longer. ATLA - Kataang (sorry people): Aang regularly hits up the past Avatars for relationship advice whenever he's feeling insecure or they're fighting about something. (For a more positive one, Katara jokingly calls Aang 'Kuzon' every time they have to go to the Fire Nation for anything) SOC - Kanej: Without even really ever solidifying an actual codebook or anything, I like the idea that Kaz and Inej communicate in innocuous letters whenever shes at sea, but everything is in a code that only they know. 🍦 ⇢ name three good things about a character you hate Hooo oh boy okay. L&C - Rupert Gale: 1. Snazzy dresser 2. A decent punching bag for George insults 3. Unintentionally did sort of shove the team to get better at their jobs secretly ATLA - Jet (oops sorry again): 1. I do like the idea of the moral ambiguity involved with the whole 'sacrifices have to be made to win the war' thing that he presents 2. The Freedom Fighters as a whole are a very fun concept 3. It gave us one of the best scenes. (WHAT ARE YOU DOING FIREBENDING YOUR TEA) SOC - Kuwei: 1. I dont really HATE him as a character, I just am sad he doesnt do much because the POTENTIAL is really good!!!! 2. Did sort of push the Wesper thing unintentionally in the right direction. 3. Pretending not to speak Kerch around the crows is kind of a serve

📚 - What's the last thing you wrote down in your notes app? I actually think it was yet another thing to add to my WIP list for a Bioshock Infinite AU I want to do for Lockwood and Co at some point. I dont know how realistic it'll be to get to it, but it's on the list anyways! ❄️ - What's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best? For L&C: Half of my WIP list haha. More seriously though, I think some kind of Mass Effect or Sci Fi in space AU in general would be VERY fun if it was done correctly. I'm not sure on who would write that the best though. Non L&C: My fever dream fanfic for ATLA is following the entire series but expanding the timeline so its a few years instead of 8 months, and also leans a lot more heavy into lore and worldbuilding aspects of it. More time for bonding and characterization (though the cartoon itself does a good enough job ofc) Again not sure who I'd pick to write it though. Possibly @cats-and-metersticks because I think her ATLA fics capture the vibe of the show perfectly. (Yams this is NOT me telling you to write this, dont worry)

I am so weirdly emotional at being done with this? It's been a staple every week for a while now, and it's going to be SO incredibly weird not having that to fall back on every week when things get quiet. I could not have asked for a better team to illustrate for! An incredible author AND an incredible cheerleader (@pininglikefinedining), who really didn't need to offer up as much encouragement as she did. The fact that I even was given the opportunity to try and put down visuals for the amazing, and frankly picturesque, words that she manages to pen down is so mindboggling to me. I am so incredibly grateful for a multitude of reasons that I was able to do this, and I really, genuinely, urge every person to go read the entire beautiful thing if they haven't already. It's so amazing.

Art for chapter 6 of On the Wings of a Wild Grey Heron! The beautiful fic by @cats-and-metersticks for @lockwoodandcobigbang2023 I think this was the easiest one for all of us to collectively decide which scene was important to draw. For obvious reasons. And I never get tired of drawing Locklyle weddings <3 The next chapter is the last one and its going to be very bittersweet to get the art done for. Its been such a fun and amazing journey to illustrate for and I could not have asked for a better fic, better author, better cheerleader, or better team in general to get to do this with.
