This week I did a couple of pieces homaging Cassandra Cain sketches by Marcio Takara.

I depicted Maria Zhang as Cass, and Yvonne Chapman as Lady Shiva.

I took the chance to play with their designs a little. 

My first time ever drawing Lady Shiva !! 

I may or may not do a 3rd one at some point. If I do, I'll add it to this post.

"A Hit has been sent on the Black Bat, Cassandra Cain (played by Jessica Henwick). Rose Wilson (Havana Rose Liu) comes in to warn her, and together they must team-up to fight Deathstroke (Eric Dane) and the world's greatest assassins. Lady Shiva (Li Bingbing) appears as unexpected ally."

NEW COMMISSION !

The concept was this : Cassandra Cain, standing strong and menacing in front of the Gotham City Clock Tower, wearing a makeshift, torn, stitched-up and re-fitted version of her Batgirl costume, along with some basic battle-wear. Like she found bits and pieces of a Bat-costume and adapted it for herself, homemade style.

I did another character study, and this time I imagined actress Havana Rose Liu as Rose Wilson/Ravager, in my take on Rose's current StormWatch design.

I could have continued and done more of those little illustrations, but I already spent a lot of time on it, and had to call it lol

P.S. : If you're not familiar with the talented and extremely beautiful Havana Rose Liu, I recommend you watch the movies No Exit and Bottoms, to get an idea of her acting range :).

JUST IMAGINE DC Concepts

Now for something a little different.

A few weeks, a twitter user issued a creative challenge for people to come up with their own take on "Stan Lee's Just Imagine the DC Universe", and so I did and wrote down some concepts for the Justice League 7.

I'll keep working on it, but for now, which one(s) do you like ? Which would you want to see a design sheet for ? Any other DC character you'd want me to reinvent in such a way ?

My latest Commission.

The client wanted me to create Metro Boomin's album cover "Heroes & Villains", but with Silver Surfer and Spider-Man.

For the Surfer, I used Lee Pace's likeness and kind of his body type, because I think he fits the role very well.

I AM BACK !! And for my return, I give you my latest artwork : Ahsoka & Sabine - Master & Apprentice.

Inpired by the (exciting) second trailer for AHSOKA. I wanted to imagine Sabine Wren in Jedi garb and Ahsoka Tano in her white robes.

Very excited by the potential of Sabine being Ahsoka's "Padawan". It's a huge development for Ahsoka (she didn't even want to train Grogu, last we saw her !!), and it's gonna make me like Sabine even more by proxxy (she looks so cool with the green lightsaber !).

Snaps from this  week’s The Flash, part 1 of the CW superhero crossover (the little stint at the end of this week’s Supergirl was 1 minute long, doesn’t count).

Woo ! That was some awesomeness ! Loving the dynamics, the action, the Dominators look badass. The CGI in the action sequences of Flash are always too noticeable for their own good, but for this one it doesn’t matter, cause I have to recognize the technical achievment this sort of crossover is. 

Really happy with this first part, especially that Barry isn’t out of the water just yet about his time altering actions. I know some people don’t like Cisco’s attitude right now, and yes it’s not very entertaining, but he’s right to be mad. Barry really played with fire and screwed things up. He deserves all the shit he gets right now.

Snaps from this week’s Agents of SHIELD.

Wow. This episode started slow, but boy did it get firing (hehe) on the 2nd half. Mack made one hell of a badass Ghost Rider. He had such depth and gravitas. Henry Simmons showed a new side to this character that I can’t wait to explore more. 

The evolution of AIDA is kind of predictible. I hope that if she goes rogue, it will be more about the evolution of artificial conciousness, and less robot overlord/destroyer like Ultron. I want her to explore what it means to be a superior artificial being.

When Robbie told the Spirit of Vengeance he would help him settle all his scores in exchange for his help, that was totally a setup for a spinoff TV show, right ?
