Spare me
For you have killed me twice already
The boy I was
The man I couldve been
Thrown down to doom for a taste of your ecstacy
A moonlit sky and a promise of another
A crooning frog and the hospice of a third me
Painting candlelight with a thousand different gothic inks
A thousand links to sunflowers and weeds
To the cold showers and needs
To the musty pages and storyfueled rages
I would know your silence in a city street
I can hear your heartbeat in the busstop
Taste your succor in the locked archive
Every shade of black another adventure
I can feel the keys in my sleep
The jingles fading as my eyes break their fast
Our lips have locked for minutes
Not lifetimes across the stars
But I would give you every single minute I have left

What provokes you to change your styles and schemes constantly? If I did not know your voice I might get lost馃槈.
The truth is not glamorous or mysterious or shrouded in talent. I'm that dual diagnoses adhd/aspergers kid that ruined every class you had. My inability to settle down into something is nearly synonymous with my face at this point.

Single again? Or writing just to write?馃馃馃
Writing to love instead of just to grieve
Is not my forte, but is worth it to achieve

If forced to pick or to play
Where our love should stop its roam
Of course the trick is to say
Anywhere that I can follow you, Home
Home is a noun for a place
In the town, that takes the space
To wind down, and makes it race
Home is your eyes an inch from mine
Home is your name, carved on the key
It's is your lips, starved of our "we"
Home is anywhere you happen to be
From the valleys to the pines

Sleepless
Dreamless of Texas,
Taxes,Laundry Lists
Of the things we've got to do
To get to a first kiss
Shared under a roof
One of us doesn't need to miss

They found our bones together
Hands clasped a final time
They dug for gold and diamonds
The worlds least honest mine
Then to take the rings
They broke our fingers to dust
Our dead bones refused to sing
Of anything save love and trust

To my dead Grandparents, and Grief, and Shame
Joyce, I'm so sorry
I have not played yahtzee in 15 years
Smoking and drinking my young self into oblivion to avoid your voice
To avoid thinking about the way my life would upset you
The ways I failed myself then
The ways I fail you now
And here I sit, now unable to remember your sound
Preparing for the funerals, third and fourth
High again, for fear of grief
Low again, some tears, though brief
I have yet to mourn the first two
I have yet to mourn you
I hide from peppermint and cheap noodles
But I do like burnt burgers
I have yet to feel I am anything like
The boy you were proud of
I have yet to hunt down the good man
You swore I would become
Claude, I cannot bear your absence
The family is not the same
The name rings hollow
The hollowed-out cheeks of your hospice
Wallow in my mind endlessly
I cannot lift the mantle of manhood
My ribs are yours, and my honor too
But my mettle is weak, unlike you
The boy in me is still in that field
Wondering if someday I'll be strong enough to be like you
He doesn't know that a ton of hay bales weighs so much less than a family
Ed, I miss you
I miss paper airplanes and pachenko machines
I miss the world feeling normal
A stretched, thin leather belt
And Nintendo in the spare room
And the acres you kept clean for me to play in
I ruined your golf clubs for no reason
Years before I knew
I'd kill for one season
One game
One round of advice
You were gone before I knew the price of a man
Maryann, I barely knew you
And that's my fault
I hope you are well
I will be there
I will hold them.
I will never forget being
A lost little boy in your kitchen
A mouthful of midnight peaches
And an omelette to reward them
You welcomed me into your family
Compelled by love and Lord
And you are the reason I stayed
Rest easy,
Love Mike

And he is
Tired again
He tells me of the fires in his
Loves and friends
And how they sit beside him
Theyre his
Only kin
They maintain and sustain his
Will to live
He is so tired, hes come so far he
Wont give in

Sweet lover
Tastes of home cooked
Oh honey
Smells like lovers abuzz
And
A fine man
My flesh, my heart, my ribs
For the breeze of your laugh
Tickles across my throat
Oh dear
Looks like we can rest here
Share our books and let the world atone
Feels in my oversized bones
Like we made or are
A little bit, maybe, home

Hello false spring
Hello ruiner of ivory
Lover of mud, and muck and mid march melancholy
I am glad you are here
You spell doom for depression
Your siblings killed my friends
And you are so so welcome here

I must confess, dear reader
My art comes from an aching heart
When I am well it is hard to write
I bid you not to miss it too
And be happy for our plight

I
Am only afraid of a world where
My warm heart quits or the cool bombs start
Where the winter or the world kill me
If it is a world before we were wed
Would there ever be a tragedy
So sickly to walk this earth
If we do not spend our days
Dying together
I beg the sky they do not end
If I do still wait to live beside you

I have sent you to bed ahead of me
Crying once again
About the things that differentiate
The lovers and the friends
And I know that nothing matters
Save the peace that we can make
But why when you have the least to give
Do I have the most to take
