Whales are so magical, aren't they? Here is a piece inspired by these beautiful creatures titled "Midnight Swim." I created the shapes in Illustrator and then worked with various textures, graphic styles and paintbrushes in Photoshop. This piece changed dramatically as I continued to work on it.
Meet Jeremiah! Jeremiah is a rescued pig who resides at Indraloka Animal Sanctuary. 🌈 A portion of every print sale goes to Indraloka! 🐔 Please read about Jeremiah's journey and Indraloka's amazing work below.⠀

Jeremiah:⠀
"Jeremiah was brought to us from a Humane Officer on a cold winter night in February 2014. When they found him, he was just hours from death and laying next to another dead pig corpse. He had long-term pneumonia that left his airways so scarred that blood and mucus poured out of his nose and painful ulcers on his legs because he had been forced to live in his own filth. This caused his legs to unnaturally swell and left him unable to stand or walk. The next few days were filled with vet visits, feedings, medicines, and giving him love and affection. With his will to survive and our hard work, Jeremiah was walking within two weeks. When looking at him now, many would never guess that he had once been in this situation. Today, Jeremiah loves spending time with his brothers Duncan, Nugget, and Eddie. He enjoys rooting around the pasture, taking naps in the sun, and savoring juicy pineapples- his favorite treat!"⠀

Indraloka Animal Sanctuary provides “heaven on earth” for farm animals that have nowhere else to turn. They inform, inspire, and empower the community, especially children, on ways in which we can better care for ourselves and the environment while helping animals in need. They advocate for a kind and compassionate diet that protects animals, the earth, and our own health. Since being founded in 2005, Indraloka has rescued and cared for over 1,000 animals through their natural lives, while placing thousands more in homes and sanctuaries.
😺 Meet Jester Cat - my latest completed (I think?) digital painting. I have a few others illustrations in the works. How many pieces do you artists have going at once?
Digital painting - "Pink Cow Vintage Pop" 🐮 💜 I first drew and painted this in Procreate and then added a variety of textures and effects in Photoshop.
This digital illustration from a couple years ago is the first one I created advocating for animal rights. It is inspired by the cow who freed himself from a NY slaughterhouse and was rescued by and now resides Skylands Animal Sanctuary & Rescue. I was so moved by the story and felt compelled to create this. I was lucky to visit this sanctuary over the summer last year but have yet to meet dear Freddie - hopefully, this year!
.
This illustration and many others are now available as affordable, fine art prints in my shop. $1 from every purchase goes to support various animal sanctuaries and organizations.
I created this digital illustration of Rissos dolphins at the start of the 2017 6-month hunting season in Taiji. I was heartbroken watching footage of a mother and child in distress swimming for their lives. It ended tragically. I wanted to show the beauty of these beings while spreading awareness of this horrific, annual hunt. In this piece, I imagine a beautiful world where they are happy and free.
"Happy Pig" digital painting
🐽
I often find it healing to create pictures of animals in joyful, peaceful places. Unfortunately, most pigs will never live this life.
🐷
This piece is for all the beautiful pigs who needlessly suffer and die for our pleasure. Wishing them and other animals to one day be free of our unnecessary exploitation. I painted this in Photoshop and then combined it with various textures.
