avocado brownies!
3/4c mashed avocado
1 large egg
1/2c Greek yogurt
1/2c maple syrup
1c chocolate, melted
1c all-purpose flour
3tb cocoa powder
1tsp baking powder
preheat over to 350F
combine the avocado, egg, yogurt, syrup, and chocolate, and mix until smooth
sift together the dry (remaining) ingredients
add the drys to the wets, and mix until just combined
bake in a greased 8x8 pan for 35-40min (or until a toothpick comes out slightly moist)
i used a mix of chocolate chips and chocolate melts since that's what i had, and it came out great, not overly sweet but the right amount and really fudgy. they'll set up some more once they're out of the oven :)

these are maybe the best dinner biscuits i've ever had. the flavour is perfect, the oregano really hits home, and they're the most fun colour! they came out flakey-soft inside, crisp outside ♥️

dark chocolate frosting
1/4c butter, melted
3/4c cocoa powder
1/2c maple syrup
1/4c powdered sugar
mix together all incredients by hand, to incorporate most of the drys
use a mixer to whip the frosting thick
store leftovers in the fridge in an air-tight container
i used this recipe as an add-in to cookies, to swirl through homemade ice cream, and to make cake balls

oat flour cookies
these aren't quite oatmeal cookies, but they hover somewhere between there and a sugar cookie. the flavour is nutty and really lovely. (the cookies in the photos have 1tsp of thick dark chocolate frosting, which the recipe for is posted)
-1/2c butter
-1c white sugar
-1/2c Greek yogurt, or other thicker yogurt
-1tsp vanilla extract
-1/2tsp salt
-1 large egg
-2 & 1/4c oats
cream together butter and sugar
add yogurt, and mix
add vanilla, salt, and egg, and mix
blitz the oats to flour, then fold in until just combined
place the bowl of dough in the freezer for at least 30min, and while baking in batches, return it to the freezer while not being used
scoop out 1tb amounts of dough and place balls on the tray, about 3" apart
bake in an oven preheated to 350F for 10-12min

adding on:
1c butterscotch chips + 1c rice krispies
1c chocolate chips + 1/2c creamy peanut butter + 1c rice krispies
homemade crunch bars!
melt a cup of chocolate (any kind, i used semi-sweet chocolate chips) in the microwave, then stir in a cup of puffed rice cereal (ie, rice krispies) and pour into a 6x8" pan lined with parchment paper, sprinkle ~1/8tsp sea salt on top, and refrigerate an hour or so then cut into 16 squares

Holy shit, this is cool!
So many cultures call the Pleiades some variation of the "seven sisters" despite only having six visible stars. There only appear to be six because two of the stars are so close together as to appear as one.
The myths also mention one sister leaving or hiding to explain why there's only six. And based off observations and measurements, those two that are so close together used to be visibly separate. One literally has moved to hide.
And based off the similarities between the more commonly known Greek myth and the Aboriginal Australian myth, plus some other stuff, this myth could possibly even date back to when humanity still all resided in Africa!

This cave painting depicting a battle scene from Sefar, in Algeria, is one of the earliest examples of depictions of violence in the world. It shows 24 men on the left-hand side fighting 13 people on the right-hand side with bows and arrows and, in one case an axe. 5000-3500 BC
