I get a smidge confused when folks say that Katara’s behavior in The Southern Raiders was OOC or because Zuko was encouraging her to be vicious, because righteous anger is a pretty consistent part of her characterization. She discovered Aang because Sokka being sexist pissed her off. Her attitude about Jet was on sight because he manipulated her. Hell, she told Zuko she’d kill him if he gave any indication that he’d screw them over. Katara of the Watertribe doesn’t need anyone to tell her to be angry. In this episode all Zuko did was not try to talk her out of her anger.  

#all zuko did was step back and let katara make her own decisions #because in the end thats how HE overcame what he needed to overcome #he didnt judge her because that was not his place

I can’t believe it’s been nearly ten years since Avatar: the Last Airbender aired and the kids that watched it are grown up now. Some became doctors or writers or animators and they still go on tumblr to cry about how zutara isn’t canon. That’s amazing.
