It's actually rather sweet that you reached out to me about this, considering I'm essentially a nobody in the fandom, so I appreciate the concern. The "I guess" at the end made it seem like you're not entirely apologizing, but that's okay because you don't owe me one at all, lol. You can do whatever you want, and the reply wasn't directed at you specifically. Just me being tired and annoyed that fandom is just in-groups and popularity. And just personal frustration over the popularity of writing I believe is less quality compared to the obscurity of the really rare good stuff. Nothing you individually can or have the obligation to change the course of. To be clear, you can make whatever polls and posts you want, and I didn't really think my words would reach anybody.

I'm a big proponent of posting whatever you want, to be honest. If people don't like it, they might harass you; gonna be real, because that's literally all fandom does these days for anything. But fuck them, you know?

Personally, I'm going to continue to enjoy c!Quackity but divorce him mentally from association with his shitty content creator. As well as not support the cc monetarily or in fandom; like, I'm not going to give him views. c!Quackity is my OC now, bitch :) (half-joking but half not; goin' death of the author, baby). You can still write fiction of fictional characters who have creators you don't like, imo, and that is exactly what I'm going to do.

There's no bad time to post fiction that's not directly about the current controversy. (And even if it were, who cares; post what you want!) Overthinking every action as possibly offending someone is crippling fandom and society. Express freely and accept that the people who are ugly about it don't matter.

Just remember to thoroughly tag your post as its relevant content, like whatever the "x reader" tag is (I forget; I blocked it a long time ago), so that people who aren't a fan of said things can responsibly filter it out. :)

It is true that if Dream wants to repair his relationship with Quackity, it's probably not the best idea to detail to the entire world the actual factual things Quackity has done to prove he's not worthy of Dream's friendship, because the world being on Q’s ass isn't going to make him a decent person, and since Dream wants it to die down, his best course of action would be to lie down, take it, cancel his USMP, do whatever Quackity demands, lick his asshole, beg for forgiveness, and send him a million dollars. Fortunately, I am not Dream and look out for his rights and well-being, and Quackity does, in fact, need to go fuck himself aggressively with a cactus. :D
