It's ok to want money. It's ok to be upset that you're poor and wishing to be rich. I understand. People who say that money doesn't buy happiness have never eaten pasta every day because it's 50 cents at the grocery store or been short on money for christmas presents. Constantly scraping by makes people miserable and depressed and of course you're gonna dream about money, about being happy and priviledged. That's not greedy or horrible, that's life. It's ok.

Personality Disorder Subtypes

I was reading up on personality disorders to continue researching my own and I came across something that I really feel like anyone who thinks they might have a personality disorder should know.

This guy named Theodore Millon studied personality disorders and came up with all these different subtypes that fall under each one… He died in January of this year. Here is the link to the Wikipedia page about him.

Millon described that each personality disorder has a number of subtypes that have slightly differing traits from the “pure” form.

I feel like this is so important to know because some people may feel like they don’t fit a certain personality disorder enough in order to have it when really they may just experience traits from one of the subtypes of that personality disorder.

Each subtype is named using some sort of word (usually an adjective) that encompasses and describes the traits that go with it. Neat, right?

I’ll include a link to the neat little tables about the subtypes on the Wikipedia pages for the personality disorders. I know Wikipedia isn’t the most reliable source, but the tables are small and well-organized and easy to understand!

For those of you who want a more credible source, here is a link to the personality subtypes summary from Millon’s official website. I chose not to use this one because the charts used to illustrate the subtypes are actually pretty confusing!
