It's also why it's gonna suck when they eventually find out. In TLT he was bitter, and maybe a little bit angry, still partially unexpected, but in the end it made sense. Show Luke is just playing his part, being a good little demigod, no one suspects anything. Yeah I'm not ready for that

guys, Luke is the perfect child. Thats the whole point! He gave his offerings he said his prayers he went on his quest he proved his loyalty to Chiron, to the gods, to his dad. And he did it all with a smile. They have no reason to suspect luke! Luke is the best of them!

Ares could’ve come to that meeting waving a big sign that said “LUKES THE LIGHTNING THIEF” and they still wouldn’t have believed him.

Because they also don’t want it to be Luke.

They love Luke. Luke takes care of them Luke protects them Luke is everything they want in an older brother. It doesn’t matter how blaringly obvious the writers get about who the real thief is. They will ignore every sign, every red flag, every warning, until Percy is dying of poison deep in the forest and Luke is gone.

Okay, ranting about the new PJO episode(im making these up as i go alr)

First off, the percabeth hug? Perfection, loved it, second, Annabeth giving attitude to Ares? Yes, we live that, keep that up sweetie you're doing great, also, in the amusement park, my guy just offered a date to Annabeth without knowing he was doing so???? Yeah, Percy behavior right there.

Annabeth trying to lighten the mood even tho she's terrified of that thing falling on Percy? My percabeth heart can't handle it.

Grover making small talk with Ares? Didn't like that.

Moving on, the Thrill Ride O' Love? STAWP (tho I almost choked on air when I started laughing when What Is Love started playing) Their little angsty talk? Give me more of those, those are amazing. Percy trying to reach for Annabeth underwater but instead realizing another power of his? Loved that.

Grover suspecting something's off with Ares and making him talk? Yes, we love our smart goat boy. All the right stuff he was saying to butter him up.

Back to Percy n Annabeth, that whole argument about the throne? So on character for them. ALSO, the first!!! Seaweed Brain??!!!!! Changing course now, I was legit on tears when Percy sat down but I knew my girl was gonna try something and boy was I right. And her snapping out of her "That's how Gods work and we don't ever question it" mindset is so gratifying to me I can't even begin to explain it, and her standing up for Percy and calling him her friend (fucking finally) and deciding to be her own person and don't follow their stupid rules? I'm invested, give me more. And Hephaestus being sympathetic towards Annabeth because he felt like that too, he's too tired of following Olympus' rules and being the cast out so he understands and him being nice and saying he'll put in good word for Annabeth... Don't touch me I might die.

And we finally got some good ol' sass thrown in for Ares on Percy's part and I'm delighted.

Still, Grover thinking he knows who stole the bolt is something so funny to me

Plus, Lin in the post-credit scenes is something I didn't expect, that one suprised me

So yeah that's pretty much it, loved every second of it

P.S. I've read the books this is just me plastering my thoughts on the show somewhere

It just goes to show how mom/daughter & dad/son dynamics work sometimes. No matter how much a daughter tries to be the perfect little good child, her mom will always find her lacking, in some aspect or degree. While sons just do the bare minimun and their dad is like "That's my boy, imma give him *whatever he wants* because he aced his math test".

ep 4 of the show was actually craaaazy imagine athena getting downright embarrassed in at the weekly family mail opening meeting because your 12 year old daughter was an accomplice in playing the biggest screw you to the gods in forever and then there's poseidon whose son was the one who CAME UP w the idea and he's like my parenting MY parenting im so proud of him. im going to help him on his quest right now actually. why is he falling.

percy saying "just breathe, mommy, you'll always be here" to sally at the beginning of the episode // the nereid saying "just breathe, your father is here, he's always here" to percy at the end

Imagine if Heroes of Olympus gets a live adaptation and when Hazel is yelling at Jason for wanting to leave Nico behind, Percy starts slow clapping, and at first everyone's like "wtf" then he and Annabeth start singing "oh golly, the road is gettin bumpy. Cause I got me some friends that just can't get along"

Everyone else staring at them in complete confusion

Okay so, all of the #percyjacksonandtheolympians tv show has been great, but hello?!?!? The episode that just came out????? It's perfection, the flashback? The little convo in the train at night? Grover's sass after being woken up??? Echidna and Chimera??? The way the Gateway Arch whole deal now makes sense???? Also, it being a temple made for Athena????? The way Percy tricked Annabeth??? Like, outright outsmarted her???? Him putting his friends' lives over his own??? (Percabeth is already blooming don't tell me otherwise), the Nereid???? Telling him???? Just breathe???? Just like his mom did????? It's a perfect switch for the Nereid looking just like Sally. Tho I'm a little downed that Percy can't stay dry underwater yet. Also, the ending, so on point for Rick istg
