"Look, this is gonna' sound really random but I need another guitarist and you're literally bloody insane! My team and I have been looking high and low for a guitarist but I think I may have just found one?"
I stood more in shock than I had been, "Y-you're in a band too!?"
--------------------------------------------------------------
[Blaire's P.O.V.]
He let out a laugh, as I stared at him with a cloud of confusion, and shock looming over me.
"Yeh, I am, look I'll tell you more once you get home or whatever. Just text me when you do, alright?"
"Um, why can't you just tell me now?" His eyes told me he was holding something back. "You can tell me." I spoke more quietly.
"Uh, alright I gotta' go." He spoke as his eyes flicked to somewhere off in the distance. Just as he spoke he was gone. I was left on the sidewalk beyond confused and speechless.
***
About fifteen minutes later I'd made it home in one piece thankfully . . .
In the span of the car ride I'd been to distracted thinking about if I should even take Harry up on his offer or not that I almost hit a pedestrian crossing the street while using the crosswalk no less, almost hit a squirrel as well. And caught myself going ten over the speed limit. I was lucky to be alive, lucky I didn't get a ticket.
"Hey, you're finally home! How was the gig?" My mom greeted me from the living room. I took my shoes off and set my car keys in the dish before making my way out into the room where I took a seat on the couch.
"Good." I say, apparently it was obvious my mind was elsewhere.
"What's got you so ... shaken up?" My mom asked furrowing her brows together.
"Uh, well I may or may not have gotten offered to be in some guys band." I spoke, I felt my cheeks flush.
"Really!? Do you think you're gonna' take the offer?"
"That's the thing, I don't know if I should. I mean, I've been in the same band for a few years and we haven't really accomplished much. But at the same time leaving the band would mean leaving behind my friends. And I don't think Talia or Dylan would be so keen with the idea of me leaving." I rambled, looking down at my feet.
"Look at me," I looked up to meet my mom's gaze, "When are you going to learn to start putting yourself before other people?"
"I don't know." I spoke, the truth was ever since my last relationship with this dickhead of a guy I changed in more ways than one. And becoming a so called "people-pleaser" was one of them.
"Well, you can't wait for an invitation. You've gotta' change that for yourself."
"Yeah, I know." I say, "Well, I love you but I'm gonna' go clean up and then head to bed." I say rising to my feet. My mom held her arms open for a hug. I gladly gave her one. I never knew when the last one would be so I cherished every single one.
I made my way into my room and turned the light on, opened my closet and pulled out a pair of pajamas. Suddenly my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw a notification from Harry.
From Harry: You make it home yet?
To Harry: Yeah, sorry.
From Harry: Np. So, about the band thing?
To Harry: Can you give me like half an hour, please? I wanna' think about it some more. Plus I'm getting around for bed.
From Harry: Yeh, sure. Just text me when you've made up your mind. I also don't have all day either.
To Harry: I get it. Tty in a bit.
***
I sat on my bed with a towel wrapped around my hair. I pulled out my laptop from beside my bed and opened it. While taking a shower I decided it'd probably be a good idea to look up this dude before I just agreed to be part of his band.
I opened my laptops search engine and typed, 'Harry Styles'. It loaded when a Wikipedia wedsite popped up. I clicked on that and about had a stroke.
"Woah, what!?" I exclaimed as I read up on how he became a world famous musician. Something about being in a boy band called One Direction and blah blah blah. I had read enough to know that his offer was the real deal. I opened up our messages and sent him another.
To Harry: Uhhhh. Care to explain why you didn't tell me your a famous singer???
From Harry: Wow, I'm honestly surprised you didn't already know...
To Harry: Now you just sound cocky.
From Harry: Really? I mean you asked me to explain and so I did.
To Harry: Haha, very funny. Now, what about this offer?
From Harry: Well...like I said you'd be a part of my band AFTER signing a shit ton of contracts that is.
To Harry: That's it?
From Harry: Well to get you signed with me yeah that's it. But, you've gotta be able to know how to play the notes to my songs before September 19th.
To Harry: Alr, shouldn't be a big deal.
From Harry: Good, also would you be okay as being a back vocalist as well? I think you've got an amazing voice from what I heard tonight.
To Harry: Aw, thanks. I mean I don't see why not, I've been doing it for a few years now so nothing new.
From Harry: Alright, deal then?
To Harry: Deal.
From Harry: Great ok, I'll contact my team and then they'll contact you to schedule an appointment for you to sign the contracts.
To Harry: Sounds good. Okay well, I'm going to get something to eat, so bye ttyl or whenever.
From Harry: Yep, I'll tell you what my team says.
To Harry: Okay, thank you.
***
I just finished loading the last bit of dishes into the dish washer and at this point felt exhausted from my long day. Thank God it's the weekend. I made my way into my room and decided to call Talia to tell her about the deal I'd made with Harry. She picked up almost immediately.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Uh, well you're probably not going to believe me when I say this but I just a once in a lifetime offer to become part of a world famous musicians band! This could be life changing, I'd be able to actually afford my mom's cancer treatments, Tal!" I squealed from the overflowing amount of excitement. There was nothing but silence from the other line. "You still there?"
"What the f*ck! You know how betrayed I feel right now!? You are my best friend, we've been friends since elementary school and now all of a goddamn sudden your leaving behind your band and me for some dumbass offer!?" She screamed, I opened my mouth and closed it. "I'm done! This is just a bunch of shit!" She yelled again.
"Well, you know what if you were truly a real friend you'd understand why I took the offer." I hung up the call and tossed my phone to the end of the bed before I covered my face in my palms and began sobbing out of anger and frustration. It wasn't the words that stung the most, it was the fact she couldn't be happy for me. It shows how selfish some people can be.
Minutes passed and the sound of my phone buzzing interrupted my rampant thoughts. I wiped away a stray tear before I saw Harry's caller ID flashing on the screen. I breathed in and out until I was sure I had gained my composure, once I had I answered the call.
"Hey, why are you calling me?" I sniffled and wiped my nose as I waited for a response.
"Are-are you okay?"
"Oh, it's nothing to worry about, Harry. But thank you." I spoke sniffling again.
"You can tell me, I won't judge you."
"N-no, it's alright. Its not a big deal. I don't wanna'waste your time."
"You won't be wasting my time, I'm genuinely concerned."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeh, I don't care."
"Okay, well," I sucked in a breath, "I told my bandmate who I've been friends with since the first grade that I'm leaving the band and she told me I betrayed her and the band, when in reality I didn't and never would do that intentionally. And so now I'm pretty sure I just lost someone who was like a sibling to me."
"Well, I can say that if she were a true friend she should be happy and proud of you. So, I think you did the right thing. That's jus' my opinion and I know we're basically complete strangers but believe me I know what 's like to lose someone who was like a sibling."
"Yeah, well thank you. I guess, talking about it helped."
"S' not a problem. Are you okay now though?"
"Y-yeah, I think so." I fought off a smile.
"Good, good. Well, I jus' called to let you know I talked to my team and they say that they'll try to schedule something as soon as they can."
"Awesome! Thanks, Harry."
"Not a problem, also if you have any other questions jus' text or call me. If I don't answer jus' assume I'm busy."
"Alright, I will."
"Yeh, also do you have any plans for tomorrow?"
"Uh, no besides being lazy. Why?"
"Well, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go grab some lunch? Jus' to get to know one another a bit better."
"I don't wanna' make the wrong assumption but are you asking me on a date?" His laugh echoed before he replied.
"Maybe, jus' maybe."
"Okay, well yeah, what time?"
"I'd say around noon."
"Okay, sounds good. See you tomorrow then."
"Yeh, see you, Blaire." He spoke before ending the call. The realization hit me that I was literally going on a date with some random guy I didn't even know. Maybe I was ready to date again? Maybe I just didn't even know it?
I rose from the comfort of my bed and pulled out an outfit for tomorrow. I still couldn't believe Talia reacted the way she did. If she were truly my friend she would've been happy. I mean sure I might be a little upset too if my friend had just randomly told me that they were leaving the band. But, she knows how hard it is for me and my mom to afford her cancer treatments. And frankly our band wasn't giving me much income, and my income from the dinner is primarily based on tips. It was just barely enough to pay for my mom's treatments.
Suddenly there was a knock on my door, I turned around and saw my mom standing in the doorway with a quizzical look on her face.
"Were you crying?" She asked taking a seat on the edge of my bed.
"Uh, yeah, I'm okay." I spoke with a small smile.
"You're lying, what happened?" She gently spoke. I blew out a breath and sighed.
"Well, long story short I called Talia to tell her about the offer and she chewed me out for betraying her and the band. And mom, with this offer I'd be able to pay your treatments with no problem. And I even told her that and she wasn't even happy." I explained, setting my outfit on my dresser.
"Well, for one she needs to apologize-"
"No, I don't even need an apology from her. She blew it, I don't care if I'm overreacting, she knows how important your treatments are to me. She knows how hard it is to pay for them. She knows mom, she knows." She gave me a sympathetic smile.
"C'mere." She spoke with open arms. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her. She broke away from the embrace and shot me another smile before she rose from the bed. "Well, I'll let you be." She began making her way towards the door.
"Okay, well goodnight, I love you, mom."
"I love you too." She made her way out of the room leaving me alone. I turned my TV on and shut the lights off. Walking through the dimly lit room I crawled into my bed and pulled the covers over my body.

[Blaire's P.O.V.]
I sat in the booth at the cafe waiting for Harry to walk in through the doors. After knowing what I knew about him I figured he'd prefer it if we sat off in a corner to be less in the open. I anxiously bounced my leg up and down as my eyes lingered on the door.
I glanced down at the time on my phone and saw it was 12:23. Twenty-three minutes past the time Harry and I had agreed to meet at. As I sat in my cloud of anxiety I picked at my cuticle, my leg bounced as well.
'Maybe I misread his message this morning about what time to meet at?'
'What if I'm the one who's late?'
'No, we agreed to meet at noon.'
'Maybe he's just running a little behind?'
My thoughts ran rampant, I was too busy wrapped up within my anxious thoughts to notice the tattooed hand that waved in front of my face.
"Hey, Blaire." He cleared his throat grabbing my attention. I gave him a flustered smile.
"Oh, hi sorry." I spoke.
"No, 's fine, also sorry I'm running a little late. Traffic was awful." He apologized, shooting me a charming smile.
"Oh, no it's alright, I kinda' figured that was why."
"Well, how are you?" He asked removing his coat revealing a plain white tee. My eyes danced upon the two dark blotches that rested just below his collar bones, that were barely visible. My eyes traveled to his left arm that was covered in tattoos before they traveled back up to meet his.
"I'm pretty good, what about you?"
"Good, um do you know what you want to order? M' not rushing you or anything."
"Uh, I figured I'd just get a sandwich." I say, he nodded his head.
"I gotcha', you want anything to drink?"
"Nah, thanks though." I say shaking my head with a smile. "Do you know what you want?"
"Yeh, I come here a lot when I'm in New York." I nodded before I decided to ask a question.
"Who's your favorite band or musician?" He pursed his lips in thought.
"Probably Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, jus' rock in general."
"Oh, I love Fleetwood too!" I spoke with a smile.
"As boring as this question is, whas' you're favorite animal?"
"Oh my god, a cat."
"Really? I love 'em too." He spoke with wide eyes. Just then a waiter made her way over to the booth.
"Hello, my names Anna, what would you guys like today?"
"Uh, I'll just have a grilled ham and cheese sandwich." I say looking up at her. She quickly scribbled something down onto a piece of paper.
"And what would you like, sir?"
"Um, jus' a fish sandwich is fine, uh and with a water, please."
"Alright, it should be out within fifteen minutes." She smiled tucking her pen and paper into her apron. She walked off out of my line of sight.
"What made you want to get into music?" Harry asked.
"Um, I don't know to be honest. I guess, the first time I ever picked up a guitar and played it. What about you?"
"Makes sense, and honestly I was in a band back in school called White Eskimo. And I was the lead singer so, then it just all kind of went from there."
"Oh, wow, that sounds like it'd be fun."
"Yeh, it was. Come to think of it without them I don't know where I'd be, the same goes to the other band I was in."
"Yeah, it's crazy to think about where we'd be if we hadn't of taken that leap of faith or made that choice." I say.
"Yeah, well whas' your favorite food?"
"Boring but it's chicken."
"Yeh, I haven't eaten chicken in a few years."
"Oh, are on some sort of diet or?"
"Yeh, I'm a pescetarian."
"Oh, I know a few people who are also pescetarian as well. They say once they started they felt way better and like they had more energy."
"Yeh, that's kind of how I felt."
"Doesn't it cut out a bunch of different things though?"
"I mean, I can say that it's definitely not the diet for someone who doesn't like seafood."
"Eh, I don't mind it, I'm not real crazy for it though. Well, what's your favorite food?"
"Tacos, all the way."
"They actually sound good. I haven't had them a while."
"Do you have any siblings?"
"Um, no, do you?"
"Yeh, I have an older sister named Gemma, she's really sweet." He smiled. I smiled at the way he spoke of her. He pulled off his hat and gave his hair a quick comb of the fingers.
"What's your favorite book or movie of all time?" I ask.
"The Notebook." He bashfully smiled. I found it kind of cute and amusing to see him become flustered causing a blush to spread over his cheeks.
"Aw, I love that movie." I smiled, "I've only ever seen it once and I cried." His smile grew in size as I spoke.
"Maybe we'll have to watch it together some time." He spoke with a smirk.
"I'll take you up on that."
***
After about twenty minutes of asking questions back and forth, I'd come to realize that there were a lot of good qualities about Harry. I mean for one he's nice, confident, and most definitely charming. It was clear to me he knew what he was doing judging by the way I hadn't stopped smiling in the past twenty minutes.
Just then the same waitress from earlier came over balancing two small plates in each of her hands. She set mine down first followed by Harry's.
"Um, I don't mean to be rude but where's my water?" Harry spoke.
"Oh, I forgot I'm so sorry I'll be right back." She quickly apologized.
"No worries, you're alrigh'." He smiled, before he busied himself with unwrapping the wrapper around his sandwich. I followed suit, taking a bite of the cheesy sandwich. For as simple as it was it was probably one of the best grilled ham and cheese sandwiches I'd ever had.
"Is it good, love?" He asked swallowing.
"Yeah, it is. How is your's?" I watched as he brought his fingers to his lips and did a chef's kiss motion. I laughed at his actions as did he.
"Here's your water, sir." The waitress spoke placing the bottle of water onto the table. Harry shot her a quick smile before she walked away.
"Ya' know I hate seeing people get all rude and snotty with waiters who mess up someone's order." I say watching as she walks away. "If only they knew how much waiters have to do." I add.
"Yeah, you make an excellent waiter though." He smiled.
"Thanks." I smiled.
***
We'd both finished eating and sat as we mindlessly chatted about the most randomest of things. My eyes flicked away from Harry's striking green ones to the waitresses deep brown ones as she made her way over to us.
"Okay, so is the bill split or just one?" She asked.
"Uh, just make it one." Harry replied, I fought off the urge to argue and say it needed to be split but I knew he was just trying to be nice.
"Alright, well I'll be right back." She spoke with a smile before walking off.
"Thank you." I say.
"For wha'?"
"For paying, you didn't have to all I got was a sandwich."
"Yeh, exactly all you got was a sandwich." He stated.
"Well, regardless thank you for paying." I say with a grateful smile.
"S' not a big deal." He smiled.
***
We walked out of the cafe side by side, the warm air brushed against my exposed skin.
"Well, I had a great time with you, Blaire." Harry spoke, as we walked across the surprisingly peaceful New York street.
"Thanks, so did I, Harry." I smiled.
"Well, do you think you'd be interested in doing this again?" He questioned momentarily glancing over at me as he walked with his head down.
"I mean, yeah I definitely would." I smiled. He suddenly stopped and turned to face me.
"Alrigh', well my cars right here." He spoke, retrieving his car keys from his pocket.
"Yeah, well bye, Harry." I spoke, he shot me a smile.
"Yep, bye Blaire. Hey, text me when you get back home please."
"I will, bye." I waved bye as I walked away. I couldn't contain my smile any longer. It was like an overflowing amount of happiness had hit me all at once.
***
I arrived back home and set my keys into the dish my mom wasn't home, which was surprising. I ventured into the living room and took a seat on the couch. Pulling out my phone I sent Harry a message saying I got home.
From Harry: Ok, thanks. Ttyl.
To Harry: Alr, ttyl, Harry.
I closed out of my messages to see a Twitter notification that I had been tagged in. I furrowed my brows in confusion.
"Who in the hell knows my name?" I whispered to myself. I clicked on the notification and my eyes grew wide.
Tumblr media
My eyes traveled down to the person who tweeted it, they began scanning over the words.
harrystylesfaninfinity: "WHAT THE FUCK!??? WHO THE HELL IS SHE!?"
styles_1D: dude! I was at this bar last night and that's literally Blaire Pascoe! She was introduced by her bandmate Talia Lane! She plays the guitar and can sing! OMG what if Harry was at the bar and they met!?
sottlover: ummm???? How else do u think they met? I've never even heard of Blaire soooo. They def met at that bar u were talking abt unless they met before that but it just seems odd that all of a sudden there spotted together after coincidentally being at the same bar...yeah they definitely met at the bar.
sweet_creature: okay just a therory but what if these two have been together for a while and Harry wrote sweet creature abt her???
Callie: yeah sure okay
styles_1994: brooo! this is too much for me rn! he's going on tour in like a month! Wtf!
my_life_revolves_around_harry: dude I stg if they're dating I'm gonna throw myself off a cliff!
Larry_is_real: no they're not dating...Harry loves Louis too much to do that.
nialler_horan: OMFG why with the Larry shit!
stylesgivesmelife: dude she's ugly just saying
harry_styles_fan: bro just stop, it's what's in the heart that matters not the looks.
Talia_Lane: wow, is this the guy you're supposedly signing a contract with to be in his band? his fucking style is lamer than you. Hahaha!
I felt my body overcome with a sense of anger, why couldn't she just get over it? It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and it would change my life for the good. Why couldn't she just be happy for me? She knew how important this was to me. If anyone was betrayed it'd be me, not her. I didn't betray her, I did what was best for me and my family.

August 25th 2017
[Blaire's P.O.V.]
I hummed to the beat of Hello by Adele, as I wiped down the crumb covered booth.
I quietly began singing the words, "So, hello from the other side. I must've called a thousand times, to tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart, but it don't matter it clearly doesn't tear you apart." Suddenly I was cut off by the sound of the restaurant door swinging open, told me that I had a customer.
"Someone will be with you in a minute!" I called, quickening the speed I cleaned the booth. Once I finished wiping the booth I rushed into the back where the rest of the workers mingled. "Hey, can someone take orders for me? I've gotta' finish wiping the booths." I spoke, I got no response and heavily sighed, "Hey, can someone please go take orders!" I shouted making everyone fall silent.
"Yeh, sure, no problem." Deb said, briskly walking past me. Deb and I had a few things in common. First thing: We were both fed up with the working environment here. Second thing: We only stayed in this crappy environment so we could get some sort of income. Although my reasoning was deeper than hers. I needed an income so I could pay for my mother's cancer treatments. She had been diagnosed during my second year of college and I had to drop out, which ultimately led me to getting a job as a waitress here at Jonny's Inn.
I also had a side hustle which was a guitarist and back vocalist in a not so well known band. The band was made up of five people including me, my best friend Talia and her brother Dylan. Her and I had been friends since the first grade, she was basically my sister and a daughter to my mother.
"Blaire! We need you in the kitchen!" I heard someone yell. I mentally screamed, briskly walking over to the kitchen I saw what could be dubbed as 'organized chaos' unfolding right before me. Gill our newest worker struggled to get the oven turned on.
"It won't work." He informed me.
"I can see that." I spoke furrowing my brows. I walked closer to the oven and motioned for him to step aside. I pushed down on the knob and twisted it, but it wouldn't budge. I groaned out of frustration, "Gill, go and get me the olive oil?" He disappeared out of the corner of my eye and returned moments later with the olive oil. I took it from him and sprayed it onto the knob. I twisted the knob and just like that it moved. "Ta-da!" I say, he gave me a small smile.
"Th-thank you. I was scared you'd be upset since I know you're busy right now." He spoke, I gave him a warm smile.
"I try to be nice to the newcomers. This place can get kinda' hectic." I walked off to return to my boring job of wiping down the booths. Once in the dining area I began wiping down another table.
[Harry's P.O.V.]
I mindlessly sat in the booth waiting for Mitch and Sarah to show up. I sat back with my arms folded and watched a tall, stunning, beautiful blonde woman walk out of the kitchen. She held cleaning supplies in her hands, she began wiping down the booth in front of me. I was too entranced in watching her to realize Mitch and Sarah had taken a seat across from me.
"Harry, hey instead of staring why doncha' go talk to her?" Mitch spoke, I snapped back to reality and smiled at the two of them.
"How was the ride here?" I ask, my eyes flicking towards the woman once more before I forced myself to focus on the two people who sat in front of me.
"Good, although Sarah almost killed us on the way here." She elbowed his side and gave him a side eye. "See she even wants to kill me right now. Harry you gotta' save me." He joked.
"Do you wanna' end up on the couch tonight, Mitch?" Sarah questioned him. He gave her a small smile, followed by a kiss to the cheek.
My attention was brought to the warm voice of the same woman, "Hello, my name is Blaire and I'll be your waiter for tonight. So, what can I get you guys for drinks?" I was mesmerized by the way her lips moved around every word she spoke. The way her voice was sounded both warming and calming.
"Um, I'll get a water, please." I spoke, fidgeting with my rings under the table. After Mitch and Sarah ordered their drinks she walked away, I couldn't help but stare as her hips swayed side to side.
"Harry, Sarah was trying to tell you something." Mitch spoke, I nodded my head and hesitantly looked away from the woman and to Sarah. Her face held a knowing look.
"Give her your number, you never know what could happen." I pursed my lips in thought.
"I'll take you up on that one, Sarah." I smirked.
[Blaire's P.O.V.]
My shift was almost over, I had about ten minutes left. I made my way out into the dining area and over to the booth that I'd been catering to. The booth that a gorgeous looking British man sat at. I didn't think it was possible to catch feelings for someone so quickly but I guess I was wrong.
"Um, I'll get a water, please." I spoke, fidgeting with my rings under the table. After Mitch and Sarah ordered their drinks she walked away, I couldn't help but stare as her hips swayed side to side.
I stood by the booth and seen their plates were empty "Alright, are you guys all set for tonight?" The man with the British accent shook his head yes. I smiled, "Great, I'll be right back with your bill." I spoke walking off where I grabbed their bill I then walked back to the booth and handed the bill to the man. Just for a split second our fingers brushed against one another causing a certain static to course through me. I walked away and went back into the kitchen. I found Deb standing alone sipping her decaf coffee. She was well into her sixties which made me confused as to why she wasn't drinking caffeinated coffee. She smiled and made her way towards me.
"Psst, just figured I'd let you know that I seen that guy you were waiting give you the heart eyes all the way from over here." She whispered, before walking out into the dining area. I followed behind figuring by now the man and his friends would have paid. Sure enough I found the crisp paper bills inside of the billfold along with a folded up napkin. I furrowed my brows together and unraveled the napkin, much to my surprise there was a number written on it along with sloppy cursive scribbled below it: 'This is my number, text me when you get the chance.'
I smiled even wider, "Deb!" I exclaimed. She hurriedly made her way over to me. Her hand flew up to her mouth as she read the note.
"You seriously should text that man, this is like something out of a romance movie." I knitted my brows together, "Ya' know like how the man falls for the waitress and he writes his number on the napkin and they just fall in love." I chuckled.
"Oh, yeah like that'll happen. Please, the only thing men want me for is my body." I stated, my hand on my hip.
"How will you know if you don't give 'em a shot?" I looked down at the note and back up to Deb. I took her words into consideration and thought and thought some more.
"Fuck it. I'm gonna' do it, I mean what's the worst that could happen? We hook up? I mean, that's nothing new." I chuckled, pulling my phone from my pocket. I typed the number into my contacts and then began typing a message.
To Unknown: Hey this is Blaire, the waitress from Jonny's Inn. Um, well as you can tell I got the note. And I'm doing what you asked so did you want something or what?
From Unknown: Hey, it's Harry but, I just- honestly I think you're very beautiful.
To Harry: Oh, wow thank you. So I take it you like to be straight forward and to the point?
From Harry: Eh, I try to be.
To Harry: Nice, but also what's your full name?
From Harry: Uh, Harry Styles.
To Harry: Okay well I need to let you go. My shift ends soon, thank you though.
From Harry: You're welcome, get home safe.
I shoved my phone into my pocket and saw Deb's face that now held a wide grin like mine was.
"So?" She nudged me in the side. I chuckled.
"He seems nice, that's all." I say, my smile diminished.
"Well, as long as he's nice. So, how's the band been doing? You have any gigs comin' up?"
"Eh, we've been doing the uche. We have a gig in like three days at the local bar so that's somethin'."
She nodded her head, "Alright well I won't hold you here any longer than you gotta' be. Have a nice night, Blaire."
"Thanks you too!" I exclaimed as I strolled towards the back where I kept all of my belongings. I grabbed my purse and unlocked my car. And with that my day at the restaurant had ended.
***
I walked into my apartment and saw my mother sitting at the dining table next to the window holding a freshly lit cigarette to her lips.
"Ma', I told you that smoking isn't good for you." I huffed, taking my jacket off. She waved me off as she blew out a puff of smoke.
"How was your shift?" She asks, I shrugged my shoulders.
"So, so. I made a bit in tips but it's no where near enough to pay for your treatments though."
"Well, get some better customers." She joked, I gave her a small smile.
"The band and I have a gig in a few days, so hopefully I get some money from that." She nodded her head slightly, before putting out the cigarette.
"Well, I'm gonna' get some shut eye. I'll see you in the morning."
"Alright, I love you, night." I say making my way into the kitchen to eat some of the leftover meatloaf my mom had made I'm assuming tonight.

[Blarie's P.O.V.]
I hadn't forgotten about Harry over the course of the two passing days. Which was odd enough considering we hadn't talked at all either. There was just something about him, like an air of mystery. But moving on, today was my bands gig, we were playing at the local bar and I couldn't wait. I loved nothing more than to be able to strum my heart out to the beat of the song while singing some backing vocals for Talia. We hadn't gone as far as writing our own songs though, we only do covers of songs. I'd been pushing for us to make our own but not all of us agreed on it. So, I eventually just stopped pushing for that idea.
"Blaire!" Dylan called, I turned around and saw him standing with his drum sticks in his hand.
"Yeah?"
"Have you seen Talia? I called her a bit ago but she didn't pick up." He spoke, pulling at his hair. It was something he'd always done when he was nervous. I shook my head no. I looked down at my watch and saw we still had a solid hour before we started.
"Dylan, chill out we've still got like an hour before we go on."
"I know but she's our lead singer, we kinda' need her."
"Dude, I'm sure she's on her way. Just chillax'."
"But what if she forgot?"
"I highly doubt that." He let out a sigh and plopped down on the couch.
"Hey, guys sorry I was running late, traffic was horrible." Talia's cheerful tone sounded as she made her way into the room.
"See, I told you." I say, looking at Dylan. He looked visibly relaxed at the sight of his sister.
"Oh, thank God you're here." He spoke, rising from the seat and wrapping his sister into a quick hug.
"Yep, I'm here," she spoke, "So, are we all gonna' warm up together or individually?" She asked, eyeing Dylan's guitar. I gave her a shrug, Dylan did the same.
"Okay, well let's go get Clara and Jake." She spoke, already halfway through the room by the time she'd said it. Dylan and I followed closely behind, chatting amongst ourselves as we did. We walked into another room and I immediately wanted to turn right back around the second I saw Clara and Jake making out on the couch.
Honestly, being in the band with two people who were a couple kinda' got in the way of our bond as a band. For one, there has been too many times to count that Clara and Jake have been way too flirty while performing. And it just makes us look less like a band and more like a I don't even know. I'm not saying that Clara and Jake shouldn't be in the band but, they could at least tone it down a bit. Like I get that y'all are in love but save that crap for when you're not in public, please.
I groaned as I rubbed my temples, "Really?"
"Oh, shut up Blaire you're just jealous that you don't have a boyfriend anymore." I fought off the urge to fly off the handle at Clara's words. Ever since I'd opened up to the band about my rocky past with guys and past relationships Clara just for whatever reason would not let it go. Like at all. She always made subtle comments about me not having a boyfriend. And honestly I didn't care that I was single I'd chosen to just not date anyone for a while. It just lessened my chances of getting my heart broken. Again.
"Oh, c'mon really? Is this seriously necessary right now?" Talia spoke, glaring at Clara. Static silence filled the room as the tension rose between us. I sucked in a breath and subconsciously held it.
"Whatever, neither one of you can take a joke." Clara snapped as she stormed out of the room Jake in tow. I rolled my eyes at her actions.
"To me it didn't sound like a f*cking joke!" Dylan screamed. I stared at him, wide-eyed due to his actions. He hardly ever screamed normally when he did it was because he was excited. He's the kind of person you'd want in an emergency situation. He's calm, chill, and laid-back.
"Dyl, hey calm down." Talia spoke softly, her hand rested on his shoulder as she gave it a tight squeeze.
"No! Because of her this band is falling apart!"He screamed again, I blew out a long breath.
"Here we'll just give you a minute. I'll go talk to Clara-"
"No, let it be. It won't do any good, if anything it'll just stroke her damned ego." He spat as he began pacing back and forth combing his fingers through his blonde locks.
"Dylan, calm down, please. This always happens before a show." Talia spoke in a soothing tone. It did no use though.
"Just leave me alone for right now. I'm done dealing with this sh*t! Blaire doesn't deserve it!"
"Dylan, it's fine." I lied right through my teeth. I knew it wasn't right. We were a band and as one we should act like one.
"Blaire, it's not fine, and you know it's not." The room fell silent before Dylan spoke again. "Just give me some time." Talia and I left the room to find no sight of Clara or Jake.
"Are you sh*tting me right now?" Talia cursed, her chest rose slowly as she took a deep breath in.
"Whatever I'm not waiting on them, we need to start practicing." I say, taking a seat on the stool and grabbing my guitar from it's stand.
***
[Harry's P.O.V.]
Sarah and I walked into the bar with a high Mitch in tow. The sound of loud chatter and infrequent guitar strums filled my ears as we mavuvered our way through the crowd of people. I took a seat at one of the bar stools setting beside some blonde woman. I studied her features, she had striking sea green eyes and a small nose to top it off. She gave me a warm smile, "What's your name?"
"Uh, Harry, your's?"
"Edaline."
"Pretty, you come here often or no?"
"Mm, depends. Normally I don't meet guys quite as good looking as you." She batted her eye lashes.
"Ah, well these are my friends Mitch and Sarah." I say leaning back some so she could get a view of them. Sarah waved hello as Mitch gave her a thumbs up. In my opinion he should've just stayed at the hotel, but he insisted he wasn't high when it was clearly obvious he was.
She gave me a quick nod before turning her head to the stage that was illuminated by bright blue strobe lights.
"I didn't know there was anyone playing tonight, did you?" I ask, Edaline gave me a quick no. I waved the bartender over and ordered four shots of tequila and four waters.
The voice of a woman drew my attention to the stage, there stood an average sized woman with short curly auburn hair. She stood in front mic as she spoke.
"Hello, my name's Talia Lane and I'm in a band called, 'Twentydust'. Uh, we've been a band for about threeish years. Um, here's my brother Dylan Lane," a tall blonde man walked out on stage and sitting behind a set of drums, "This is our keyboardist Clara, and our bassist Jake." She introduced them, I turned my head to look at Sarah she was too entranced with the band to even notice. I turned my attention back to the stage, "And last but not least, our guitarist and back vocalist, Blaire Pascoe." My heart plummeted to my feet at the sight of her. It was the same woman from the restaurant. "The first song we'll be performing tonight is a cover of Shape of You. We hope you enjoy it just as much as we will."
"Holy shit, Harry that's that girl from the restaurant!" Mitch spoke before downing his shot.
"Yeh, I know." I say fighting off a grin. I covered up the grin by taking the shot of tequila followed by a swig of water.
The beginning notes of the song began playing and I couldn't take my eyes off of Blaire. She looked so effortless, as she sat atop the barstool with her guitar slung over her shoulders. I was stunned at how beautiful the lead singers voice was. Without thinking I hopped off the barstool and shoved my way through the crowd towards the front of the stage. That's when she saw me, her eyebrows furrowed together. I could've sworn I saw her smile, but I was probably just imagining things.
I watched in utter satisfaction and amazement at how she played the guitar and her voice was just on a different level. I don't understand why she wasn't the lead vocalist. The song ended and I watched as she leaned in towards her mic.
"Hello everyone!" She received a chorus of hellos back, "The next song we'll be covering is Rolling In The Deep by the one and only Adele." I felt a small smile creep onto my face. I watched as she gave the band a que before she began strumming the beginning notes. She was absolutely gorgeous, in every sense.
[Blaire's P.O.V.]
The adrenaline rush was real at this point...for one I was performing in front of quite a bit of people. And secondly, Harry just so happened to be here. To be honest I was in shock when I saw him at the front of the stage. The charming smile he gave, the way the strobe lights illuminated his face, exaggerating his features. It was kinda hot, but I'd made a promise to myself a few years back that I would just take a break from dating. And I really wasn't the type to break a promise with anyone or myself.
***
The gig had ended and the band and I headed back stage. I pushed the door open and walked over to my guitar case and carefully set my guitar in it.
"Well, we did awesome!" Dylan cheered, as he fisted the air.
"Yeah we really did, and Blaire you nailed that one guitar solo." Talia spoke, shooting me a smile. I smiled back as I swung my guitar case strap over my shoulder.
"Thanks, but I really need to get going. My mom hasn't been doing the best lately so-"
"C'mere, you look like you need a hug." Dylan interrupted me, I smiled and walked up to him wrapping my arms around his toned waist.
"Thanks," I say, he let go of me and I stepped back. Honestly I think I'd always had the tiniest bit of a crush on him. But I knew better than to let it affect mine and Talia's friendship so I just learned to ignore the small little butterflies I got whenever he said my name. Plus, I would hate to ruin the friendship him and I had.
"Alright well, you have a good night Blaire. Call if you need anything!" He called as I was walking out the door. I smiled slightly, making my way down the hall and into the main lobby where a crowd still stood. I maneuvered my way through the mob and opened the exit doors.
"Hey, uh can we talk for a minute?" I jumped slightly at the voice as I turned around and saw Harry. He stood leaned against the stone exterior, his leg crossed over the other. I stood frozen in shock, a small chuckle escaped his mouth. My eyes caught a glimpse of two other people behind him, the same two from the restaurant. One of which looked utterly stoned.
"Um, okay?" I forced out, he pushed himself off the wall and stood a few feet in front of me.
"Look, this is gonna' sound really random but I need another guitarist and you're literally bloody insane! My team and I have been looking high and low for a guitarist but I think I may have just found one?"
I stood more in shock than I had been, "Y-you're in a band too!?"

Hey, so I hope you like it!

[Rosalyn's P.O.V.]
The salty air of the ocean blew against my face as I sat on the ship. The sun was hidden behind the dark clouds that cast darkness all around. I rose from the wooden bench and made my way over to the captain.
"Cap, I think we should dock somewhere for the night. It looks like there's a storm rolling in, and-"
"Rosa, 's fine. Theres no storm, believe me I would know. Just go sit back down or scrub the deck below." He spoke keeping his eyes trained on the sea ahead of him. I fought off the urge to argue with him knowing if I did it'd be no use.
I bit the side of my cheek in frustration as I walked back to the bench. I missed my home very much, it wasn't much but it was the place I was born and raised. The place where I would wander about at odd hours of the night and stand on the shore line as the gentle waves rolled over my feet. I missed that, but I knew I'd also miss sailing across the oceans and seeing different people.
I was tore away and brought back to the present by a sudden jerk of the ship. The mist of the choppy waves hitting the side of the ship hit my back. I shivered from the coldness of it.
"Hey, Rosa!" Hansen called from the other end of the boat. He waved his hands in the air frantically. I quickly rode to my feet and made my way over to him.
"What's goin' on?" I ask.
"Does the captain know that there's a storm?" I felt my gut twist in a knot at his words.
"Yes, I told him but he just brushed it off and denied it." Hansen rolled his eyes and jogged off towards the captain. Just then I felt a rain drop hit my shoulder, then another one and then another. I cursed under my breath knowing there was only two outcomes of this. One, we all survived and docked the boat for the night. Or two, the ship gets taken beneath the waves and we all drown.
It was like a domino effect one person began freaking out which triggered another. I rushed over towards Hansen and the Captain.
"Um, there's a storm that's rolling in right now, Captain." He turned his head and stared at me.
"I can see that, tell everyone we need all hands on deck in case of an emergency." He ordered I nodded my head and quickly climbed the stairs that led to the bell. I grabbed the rope and moved it causing the bell to chime loudly. The rest of the crew emerged from below deck and stood with life vests in hand.
Suddenly I fell to the floor as the ship was hit by a nasty wave. The sound of wooden crates sliding on the floor just told me how bad this storm was going to be. I rose to my feet and went down the stairs and grabbed a vest for myself. Out of nowhere rain came pouring down like buckets, the wind picked up significantly making the ship pick up speed. I watched as the captain struggled to get the ship under control. Just then another wave hit the ship this time it was worse. Crates fell off the side of the ship, I felt my heart begin to race.
"All hands on deck! All hands on deck!" Captain screamed, I stood at a stand still as everyone else readied themselves by the lifeboats. By now I was soaked and freezing. I could only hope that the storm would pass by fast and we'd be safe. But that hope was soon gone.
I watched in horror as a few crew members fell overboard from the rocking of the ship. I gripped onto the nearest thing I could. I don't think anyone had anytime to register what was happening until we were submerged under water.
I swam upwards and gasped for air once my head was resurfaced. I looked around trying to find something to keep me afloat other than an old life vest that didn't really work. I began paddling towards the lifeboat that I could only vaguely see through the fog. The burn in my legs had intensified as I began swimming faster and faster. I wasn't fast enough to catch up to the lifeboat though.
"WA-" My scream was cut off by a wave going over my head. I fought with my entire being to keep my head above water. With no one or anything in sight besides the ship sinking below the dark waters I couldn't help but want to give up. I just knew I couldn't, not this easily.
I began swimming towards the shoreline, alone, scared, and terribly cold. The shoreline was a long distance away but I could still see it. With every kick of my legs and every stroke of my arms I was closer to the shore. I ignored the blazing burn in my entire body knowing if I let it consume me I wouldn't make it to land.
"HEY! OVER HERE!" I heard a man scream, I stopped swimming and looked around. That's when I saw someone waving their arms around as they stood in a boat. "HERE GRAB ONTO THIS!" He screamed throwing out a buoy, I paddled towards it and grabbed onto it and was pulled toward the boat. "Here love, give me your hand." I didn't waste a singke second before giving my hand to the man. He pulled me up into the boat. The cold air hitting my soaked clothing making me uncontrollably shiver. "Here cover up with this." He spoke giving me his black jacket. I smiled as a way of thanking him. "Are there any others?"
"N-N-No not that I'm aware of." I replied, pulling the jacket tighter around my body.
"You poor thing, are you okay?" He sympathized, I shook my head yes. He started the boat motor before he began driving back to the shore line.
He put the anchor down into the water before glancing back at me. I broke the gaze and looked past the shore line to see a giant stone castle sitting atop a hill.
"Alright, I'm taking you there. They'll help you out, I promise." I nodded my head before I rose to my feet shakily, I took a step and fell down on the boat.
"Bloody hell, here let me help you." He spoke, helping me up to my feet. We made it out of the boat and onto the sandy beach. He looped his arm under mine as we walked towards the castle. The closer we got the bigger it looked.
"Who-who lives here?"
"The Styles' royal family live here. It's called Gavaria Castle."
"Oh." I'd never heard of them or this castle my entire life. "Who are you?"
"Oh, I'm just a stable hand." He spoke, I nodded my head. I was flabbergasted at the sight of two giant doors that stood before me. They were opened by two guards covered in metal armor.
Two women came running over to us, "Oh, goodness gracious you poor thing." One of them said looking me up and down.
"Get her somewhere warm and settled, she was part of the shipwreck." The stable hand spoke, his arm was unlocked from under mine. I stumbled backwards into a pile of straw. The women that stood before me gave me worried glances.
"Can you walk, darling?" One of them spoke offering me a hand. I took it and pulled myself up.
"Uh, yes just right now I think I'm just in shock."
"Oh, I'm sure you are. Here let's get you a change of clothes and cleaned up, hm?" She spoke, her voice was full of warmth and kindness. I smiled thankfully.
***
After being escorted up a few flights of stairs I'd made it to a room. I stood mind blown at how beautiful it looked.
"Here's a change of clothes, the shower is right over there." The woman informed me pointing to a door. I smiled and grabbed the neatly folded dress from her hands and carefully made my way into the bathroom. I'd never seen such a pretty dress before. I've worn dresses, but not one like this one. It was a beautiful scarlet red color.

I stepped out of the shower and my attention was brought back by a soft knock on the door. I quickly wrapped my self in the robe I'd found neatly folded on a stool.
"Come in!." I called, the door was opened and I saw the same woman who'd given me the dress.
"I forgot that you'll need a corset, love." I fought off the urge to twist my face up in horror at the thought of something cinching my waist.
"Okay, how do I put it on?" I asked, I felt stupid for asking but I didn't want to wear it the wrong way and look stupid. She gave me a small smile.
"I have to tie the laces anyways, so just put this on and then come out and I'll tighten it, okay?"
I grabbed the corset from her hand and nodded my head. She closed the door and I slipped it on, struggling to get it over my hips at first. I was always told I had my mother's hips, wide and full. I opened the door and walked out into the bedroom.
She walked up behind me and began pulling the strings, I bit my lip as I felt the pressure on my ribs. It ended quickly though, "Alright, now go put on the dress, hun." I struggled to breath as I made my way over to the bathroom. Once inside I carefully slipped the dress on. I took a look at myself in the mirror, I thought I looked nice.
I stepped out and was met with a wide eyed glance, "Oh, you look beautiful!" She exclaimed I fought back a laugh.
"Thank you, um what's your name?"
"Beatrice, yours?"
"Rosalyn."
"What a pretty name," she spoke her eyes traveled down to my barren feet. "Oh, how could I have forgotten shoes?" She spoke, my eyes followed her as she walked over to the walk in closet to pull out a pair of matching red heels. I hated heels with a passion, let's just say the last time I wore heels was probably about ten years ago...and well I ended up taking them off after about ten minutes. She handed me the heels and I slipped them on. There was a knock on the door and another woman walked in, she greeted me with a smile. I smiled back.
"So, your the lady that everyone has been gossiping about?" I shruggedy shoulders in response.
"I guess?" I say.
"Okay, well regardless you look wonderful. I'm sure the prince would take a certain liking to you."
"Wait, the prince?" I blurted.
She fought back a laugh, "Yes, he's supposed to get married to Princess Fia in a week and its obvious that he doesn't want to marry her."
"Well, that sounds like it'd suck." I say, tilting my head to side slightly.
"Speaking of the king to be we should probably inform him that there's a guest." She spoke looking at Beatrice when she said it. They both grinned, Beatrice was quick to exit the room.
"So, I take it this isn't why your used to?"
I shook my head no, "What's your name?"
"Grace, yours?"
"Rosa-" I was cut off by the sound of doors opening, I looked over to them and saw a man dressed in a black suit with shoulder length curls framing his chiseled face. I felt like I would fly away from the mass amount of butterflies in my stomach as he walked over to me. I immediately curtseyed before him.
"Whas' your name?" He spoke, I felt my knees grow weak as my eyes locked with his green ones.
"Rosalyn Don." I spoke quietly, he gave me a small smile.
"Beautiful name, I'm Harry. Well, technically Prince Harry. Do you have any family?" It hit me like a freight train, I didn't have family left my family was on the ship. And if I did I had no idea where they were.
I shrugged my shoulders, "Well, you're welcome here for as long as you need."
"Thank you." I say smiling.
I watched as he backed away his eyes glistened in the light that peaked through the satin window drapes. I watched him walk out of the room and was left in a daze.
"Rosalyn, um dinner will be served shortly so for right now we'll get you settled in, mm-kay?" Grace spoke bringing me back to reality.
"Oh, yeah sure sounds good." I quickly spoke.
***
A few hours had passed and I'd sat mindlessly on the window seat still left in a daze. I'd honestly never felt such a pull to anyone before. I torey gaze from the scenery outside to the door at the sound of a knock. The door opened and revealed Grace.
"Dinner is getting ready to be served, Rosalyn."
I swung my legs off of the seat and walked towards her and put into the hall. I followed behind her, taking long strides down the hallway that was lit by candles. Our footsteps echoed with each step. I was wonderstruck at the sight of the luxurious long dinner table that was perfectly centered in the dining room. The plates and silverware were laid out neatly, the food was placed on white sparkling dishes.
"Woah." I blurted making Grace laugh. "Do I just sit anywhere or?"
"You have to wait until the king and queen sit then everyone else will sit down. You'll probably sit next to me or the prince." I felt my heart increase at the word 'prince'. "Are you okay?" She asked.
"Oh, yeah I'm okay." She gave me a knowing look. I waited patiently as the king and queen both filed into the room. The queen had long grey wavy hair like mind only mine was a honey brown. Her crown sparkled as the sun hit it. They both took a seat, I felt a tug on my hand from Grace.
"C'mon, let's go sit." She spoke, I followed behind her and felt a wave of nervousness wash over me from the feeling of a piercing gaze on me. I looked over at the king and queen they both greeted me with smiles. I smiled back, but the gaze still lingered.
I tried to shrug it off but it didn't work, I looked behind me and saw Prince Harry standing in the hallway his gaze locked with mine. I forced myself to look away.
"Ah my wonderful son! Come and sit!" The king exclaimed, motioning to the spot next to me. I gulped nervously and hoped no one noticed. I looked up at the ceiling and saw the most breathtaking chandelier. The screeching of the chair against the floor made me cringe. I hated that sound.
"Where's Princess Fia?" The queen asked Harry. He cleared his throat before replying.
"She says she's not feeling well, so I told her she should just rest." He spoke sounding careless. His mother smiled sweetly at him.
"Ah, I'm so glad you found the right lady for you Harry I really am." She spoke, I watched as he forced a smile.
'Wow, Grace really was right that he didn't want to get married to Fia.'
"So, who's this beautiful lady?" The king questioned gesturing towards me. I felt a heat rise in my cheeks as everyone's eyes were now upon me.
"Um, I'm Rosalyn Don from the shipwreck that happened today." His lips twisted into a smile.
"Ah, I'm very sorry for what happened. I'm sure you've already met my son, hm?" I nodded my head yes. I felt a soft nudge in my side from Harry's elbow. I looked at him and he mouthed, 'speak'.
"Yes, we've met, he seems very kind. I'd also like to say thank you for your kindness, and for letting me stay here. It means a lot." He nodded his head slowly.
"It's the least we can do," he spoke looking over at the queen, "Okay, now we shall eat." He added.
***
I'd been escorted back to my room after dinner. The food was definitely not what I expected it to be but it wasn't bad. I sat in the window seat, I think it was my favorite spot within my room.
As I pondered out of the window I saw the setting sun on the horizon across the sea. I watched as the waves washed up onto the sand. I don't know what overtook me but I raced out of my room and down the hallways. I was immediately stopped when I bumped into someone.
"Hey, we careful-wait why are you out here?" I recognized the beholder of the voice to be Harry. I immediately became flustered.
"Erm, I was going to go down to the shore." I spoke quietly, a grin took form on his lips.
"Well, you'd have to go that way." He spoke pointing behind me. I turned around and became confused when he started walking in front of me. "C'mon, I'll take you down there." He offered I couldn't find the words to say so instead I nodded my head. He waited for me to catch up to him.
Within minutes we were on the beach, I ran straight towards the shoreline and took off my heels so I could stand barefoot in the water. I closed my eyes and let the salty air drift me away into a calm tranquility.
"I take it you like the water?" He chuckled, I opened my eyes and saw he was standing knee deep in the ocean in front of me. I smiled and closed my eyes, "Ignoring me won't make me go away." I opened my eyes once more and smirked.
"Then what will?" I spoke quietly.
He pursed his lips in thought, "Hmm, probably not much." A smirk played across his lips, "Here come out here, it's not that cold." I took a step forwards into the water. It was a little chillier than I expected but it was fine. "See it's not that bad."
I took another step when I felt something rough on my foot, "Ow!"
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks. I just stepped on something." I kept walking out farther and farther lifting my dress as I did. I stopped once it got to the point I couldn't lift my dress any higher.
I turned my back to him to look back at the shore line when I felt a splash of water hit the exposed skin of my back. My mouth fell open and I turned around to see Harry with a cheeky grin.
"Hahaha." I sarcastically laughed making his grin grow even wider.
"Uh, don't say no just yet but I want to show you some-"
"No!" I interrupted him, "I'm just playing what were you gonna' say?"
He smiled slightly, "There's a place I want to show you, I think you'll like it."
"If it involves snakes or spiders I'm not going."
"There aren't any of those there, trust me I hate snakes too." He chuckled.
"Oh, okay good. Well, where is it?"
***
We arrived at a stone arch that had leafy vines hanging from it, beautiful pink and purple flowers blossomed off of it. I watched as Harry's hand plucked one of them off the vine, he handed it to me and I tucked it behind my ear.
"Suits you." He whispered, I smiled slightly. He moved the vines off to the side working as a doorway. I ducked as I walked through them. I immediately covered my mouth at the sight of the breathtakingly beautiful scenery. There was a cascading waterfall, that made the pink and orange hues of the sunset behind it pop.
"Oh my, it's beautiful."
"Like you." He spoke, I turned around and saw him leaned against the rocks with his arms crossed.
"Are you always this I don't know, dorky?"
"Mm-define dorky."
"Cheeky, just you in general." He smiled, pushing himself off of the rocks.
"Well, we should probably start heading back before I get my head cut off by my father." I felt my eyes grow wide, "I was speaking figuratively not literally." He adds.
"Oh, right." I laugh, feeling stupid for even assuming that.
***
We both walked into the castle, I gulped at the sight of a tall, slim, blonde woman whom waltzed her way over to us.
"Eh-em, who's this little peasant? And why was she with you?" She spat glaring at me.
"Uh, this is Rosalyn, she was the only survivor of the shipwreck. And for christ sake I was just showing her around, Fia." Harry rose his voice towards the end. I watched as she whipped out a small hand fan and began fanning her face.
"Ugh, see now I'm all hot because I got mad. See look what you do to me, Harry. I don't even know why I said yes to you when you asked for my hand in marriage! Ugh!"
"Look quit making a scene, we can talk about this later, alright?" She huffed and gave me a snooty look I returned it.
'What a bitch.' I thought.
I followed behind Harry as he led me towards a hallway. "Hey, I apologize about that. We're getting married in a week and I don't even wanna' do it anymore."
"Yeah, I can see why." I tsked, before I knew it I was standing in front of my bedroom.
"Have a good night, Rosalyn. My room is right down the hall if you need anything alright?" He spoke, I smiled.
"Good night, Harry." I spoke, before I opened the door and watched as he walked down the hallway towards his room.
I let out a sigh as I walked over to the bed and flung myself onto it. I hadn't really given myself time to register today's events, I was too busy spending time with Harry to notice it. That's when it hit me, I was more than likely the last person in my family. My entire family was more than likely deceased lying at the bottom of the sea floor. I had nowhere to go, I only had this castle to live in.

Okay, thank you the read!
Don't forget that you can leave comments if you'd like. Also this was kind of like a random idea I got, so it's probably a little messy.
Anyways, have a great day/night!
