Gym day. When training archery four days a week and gym three the best option is to always train your whole body at the gym. Today is a dark day. The International Olympic Committee has opened up for athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete in the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. I feel ashamed and extremely sad and it even puts a bad taste in my mouth saying I’m shooting “Olympic style recurve”. For now I’m leaning towards stop shooting recurve an switch to longbow and traditional bows as long as the IOC has this opinion. I don’t want to have anything even remotely to do with supporting this decision and my opinion is that the IOC is nothing but a corrupt EVIL organisation. I feel even more sad for Ukraine. I’m hoping the IOC will come to their senses and ban anything 🇷🇺 as long as this horrible invasion av Ukraine persists. This weekend I, together with my club, arranged a big archery competition. Hylanderpilen. I also had the crazy idea to live stream the event. In just one week I put all the technology for streaming together and managed to learn at least as much that it actually worked pretty well. Of course there are things I would like to have made differently, but I’m still really satisfied. I used an Atem Mini Pro video switcher together with a Nikon D850, a Sony Z90 and some mixed gear for sound.
