It was getting light. I couldn't sleep all night - the first loss of a pet in my life, Isolde's budgie, turned out to be very difficult for a 10-year-old child. I couldn't get her out of my head and switch to thinking about the upcoming 3 months of rest and entertainment. The cloudy sky was alarmingly white, and I was trying to figure out if it still made sense to sleep at all. Suddenly, somewhere very close by, a bird began to sing. The simple repetitive motif and the sound of the morning rain calmed me down. Slowly, the bird's song became more and more distant. I fell asleep. While we were drawing the commissions, memories from childhood surfaced, we really wanted to quickly embody the idea in art. The bird in the picture is a male common redstart.

The idea was for the characters of our selected active subscribers to be able to hug Bernie. It was very nice to work on the characters, it's an unusual experience for us, we've never drawn so many characters before

At first glance, this nice child is very sweet and innocent. However, the boy has to work as a dr*g courier to somehow feed his family, because now Bernie is the oldest man in the family who can bring money. The boy had no other choice, because all he knows how to do is play the flute, and otherwise everything falls out of the boy's hands. After losing Henry, his brother, with whom they were very close, Bernie suffered for a long time and became very anxious and depressed. He missed him very much.

However, after meeting Terry and Wilf, Bernie gradually began to devote less and less time to "work" in the hope of forgetting about it forever, lost his previous income and because of this he became very distant from his family. By nature, Berbie is a very cheerful, sociable and curious boy, but on condition that he trusts the person with whom he communicates very much.
