Oh look who dragged themself from their comfortable grave. Me. How disappointing, please, let me rest a thousand years undisturbed, moss on my frigid bones and fungi in-between.

That aside, I've been kinda sick for like,, 2 weeks straight with some long work days, so I'm not really all that spunky. I'm also losing my motivation. For a lot of things actually, including but not limited to drawing, but I'll keep nudging myself a bit with this challenge. That said, every deadline and assignment went askew but it is what is it ig

Here's the September plan

Gesture drawing, 30+ of 5 minutes

Yeah, I did NOT have 2.5 hours I wanted to spare, nor the energy/drive to do this. 5 minutes was painfully long to spend on Gesture drawings. I managed 11 though, so there's that

I actually think I misunderstood this part and then proceeded to give up. I don't feel up to sharing what I did lmao

2 point perspective + Scene

I didn't do the scene but I think I got the theory down okay now. I was actually surprised to find myself tripping on it a bit lmao, it looked simple enough. And to be fair it is, I just managed to do it wrong twice

Anywho, see you for October, I suppose. I'll be going with my father to Toronto, Canada for a few days in the second half of October so I'm very excited about that. It'll hopefully also be the mental break I need

I resurface for the month~ 

Okay, today has been a very horrible start of the month; a battery blew up overnight in our dining room, my coming house was broken into, I had to make a stupid amount of sandwiches at work for tomorrow's harvest market, my key disappeared, our youngest dog broke out and chewed up a ton of stuff and I keep yanking on the stitches in the crease of my eye when trying to lift a brow at my fellow apprentice 

Anywho, I actually managed to stay a bit more consistent during August, so there's that.

Without further ado, here's August's plan

Gesture drawing, 80+

Surprisingly, I actually did get 80 or 81 done. I think the key is warming up, and then just sticking to grabbing like, 5 reference images and doing each a few times

Anatomy: Heads

Okay, I actually felt a few frustrations clicking into place while doing this. I didn't want to do too much in ways of colour before starting up on colour theory, so I stirred clear of that

Anatomy: Faces

Let me preface this by saying; I forgot that expressions are a part of faces, and I don't have the vacancy to start training expressions, soooooo… that'll have to come eventually. That said, this also helped me clear up some things

1-Point Perspective Scene

Again, I didn't want to play with colour too much, and I really burnt out when it came to the garden I'd planned for outside the window. That said, I'm quite happy with this. It's an oc of mine in her past, because of course it is

So that's August over. Here's to a good autumn, everyone. My favourite time of year. Let's see if I can keep my nose on the trail this month too

Hey there, stranger! Thought you'd seen the last of me? Ha! I'm like a weed, you cant get rid of me that easily

I've been busy with real life, and my family still thinks I should quit drawing, which I've done the exact opposite of: I'm learning to draw

And oh, but don't I already draw? Well, yeah, but not properly.

This marks the first entry of what will in the end be a year long journey of learning to draw once more.

I've drawn since i was a toddler basically, but it's always just been a hobby. I drew what I liked, emulated others' art, and never actually learned. This has led me to become stuck, to feel like I lack the skills to do what I want to be able to do and has left me actually hating to draw while not being able to let go of it.

So, I'm learning how to draw. Properly, this time.

My schedule is mostly based around the one of Marc Brunet. However, I've made a few minor changes to better suit me and my personal journey. 

May both journey and destination herold rewards

Open Comissions: 3/3 Open!

I know I like, barely exist, but I'm finishing up my driver's license, there's three more weeks of in-school, and I'm making the first stand towards getting mental help, so things might get better soon.

Anyways, I heavily dislike lengthy sobstories, but yeah, I kinda could use some extra cash right about now, oof :')

So, for the first time, Im opening commissions. First come, first serve, and we'll obviously discuss in depth how you want your piece. I take half the payment after the first progress image is confirmed, and second before I send the final unwatermarked piece

This is my audition character Princess Oryx, for a wof rp Discord in which the original story is bring recreated anew. Super fun concept, and I'm really hoping I get the spot. So, several ideas, a lot of erasing, and like, a bit less than a dozen hours of half work-half zoning out, here's my entry for the DTIYS-challenge of @vossanova on Instagram, that I managed to wrangle myself into completing at a decent time. Instagram chewed up my quality again, though smh :( but tumblr is usually pretty nice to me

I very rarely draw foxes. Hell, I don't draw all too many quadropeds anymore, or draw in generalfor that matter. I used to only draw that. Oh well. I took the liberty to play with a new fur method, as well as a brush I've not used before. It was honestly surprisingly fun. I rarely have fun drawing anymore, so I've already won something in my own opinion.

So, a little bit about the design? The black vines forced the idea of a dark garden into my head. And well, the foxes were very clearly based on cross morph red foxes, so that's what I did too. But the fox on the bottom has the cross colors, but the patterns are actually more based on a pearl cross. I love foxes and I love furs, in case you can't tell.

Do you guys want to meet one of my favorite OCs? Jk you don't get a choice :)

This is Tek'har, and I adore her. She's been with me since the start of 2020 and in that time, has gone through a few designs, but this is probably my favorite because I decided to not limit myself to what skyrim offers in terms of armor and weapons. Yes, the blade is majorly inspired by Luna's in Dota:DB, but deadass, it's such a cool weapon, and I've been in love from the very first time I saw it. It would definitely fit Tek'har and her style.

This is also the first time in a long while that I've played with lighting and shading in my art. I think it turned out okay? Here, have the non-shaded version, too

Let me gush a bit, okay? This is just a bit of optional trivia:

Tek'har has two main weapons: This boomerang sword thingy called Zukoa Kuz, or "Glass Fang" in ta'agra, and her longbow Zrege Tak or "Burning Strike". Zrege Tak has a burning enchantment, and Zukoa Kuz has life-drainer. Along with these, she's capable of one spell, which is Moon Fire, a frigid flame which can give severe cold burns.

Her armor is custom made, created out of mainly ebony and dark steel, with leather and linen parts. She's left handed, so her left glove is fingerless because she feels more control of her weapon that way. Her right has steel claws for extra damage when unarmed.

She was born to her single mother, a caravaneer in Skyrim, and lived the first few years of her life with the caravan, being taught their ways. The caravan was attacked by traffickers however, and Tek'har was separated from them, never knowing what became of her family. She lived on the streets of Markarth for most of her youth doing whatever she could to survive, which as it so often does for the poor and desperate, eventually ended her at a cross with the law. She bared alleged reassurances that should it come to execution, her remains would be brought to Elseweyr, but all it did was make the young khajiit weep, for she had never been there, nor did she belong there.

Eventually, A companion who had visited the city ended up spending a night due to getting too rowdy at the inn, and would eventually offer Tek’har another chance. He paid her bail with interest, and brought her to Whiterun, where she started training under the companions, as well as running errands for stray coin. Her views of lycanthropy would change from the common khajiit onlook, to a more positive light, perhaps even one colored with desire and curiosity.

Tek’har was hard to control, brash and violent at the best of times, rowdy from too long spent dodging guards but with the quicksilver tongue of a prosperous merchant. She also seemed to have a certain bloodlust that couldn't seem to be culled.

Eventually, at 19 winters, she would accept the offer of lycanthropy, but it was quite apparent that the young woman became a danger in beastform. Both cat and wolf, large, brutish and hungry.

Asbjorn would extend his own offer of coming with him to serve The Dark Brotherhood, and she would accept. During her travels as an assassin, she would come across the cult of Namira, and morbid curiosity would lead her to pledge servitude.

Tekhar’s dreams are marred by nightmares, even more so than just a werewolf. It is a reminder of the rage all three gods she serves feel, and of how her soul will be torn asunder upon death. One does not pledge servitude to the Mistress of Decay, the Dread-Father and the Father of Manbeasts and live a life that is kind to them.

Despite being a mess, Tekhar has some redeeming qualities. Theve mellowed out, calm but sharp as a blade and unwaveringly courageous. She is typically unfazed in the face of peril, with a moderate level of distrust of the world around her. Her loyalties are slack, but steady. Rarely does she become less loyal unless provoked into becoming so, but she never fully commits to a single cause, taking contracts wherever. She's erudite and strangely elegant, priding herself in clean cloth and polished armor as a token she has moved from the slums, but is also notorious for crude language and brash words. She can be ruthless and cold in circumstances, but holds a certain warmth and solidarity for those less fortunate. Her humor is dry but abundant once you get past the cold indifference. Shrewd and full of street smarts, raised by barters, she certainly knows her way around people. So though stubborn and unapologetic, Tekharhas been shown to also be capable of personal reflection and growth

Valerie is so gorgeous ♡

Okay, I think I should speak on her for a sec.

So, she obviously doesn't look very apocalyptic, but thats a conscious choice. These headshorts are based on a short time into my story. Valerie was born and raised as most people in my story; sheltered from the reality of the situation outside the walls and kept pliable and naive by the government. She's a young school teacher, who modeled and did gymnastics on the side.

My intend with Valerie is not only to show that a highly feminine and naively person can, in fact, be cool and likable, it is also a small step towards mending my own relationship with femininity, which has been a very sore topic for me and something I've taught myself to veiw negatively
