Head cannon that considering neil and Andrew are strange people under strange circumstances, they obviously don’t “cuddle” like a normal couple would. Not that neil doesn’t more often than not fall asleep with Andrew wrapped around him, but like on an everyday daily basis i think it would be more unconventional. Like I can imagine neil taking a nap face up on the couch with his head next to Andrews leg and Andrew decides to rest his full hand over Neil’s face. Like not even over a cheek just his full hand street he’s over Neil’s face bc one it’s comfortable and two he can feel neil breathing and also touch his scars. I can also see Andrew playing video games on the couch with neil at his feet, Andrews right leg kicked over Neil’s shoulder and the controller lost im Neil’s hair. Neil most likely leaning his head on Andrews knee. Anybody that walks on to find them like this is always like ….? For awhile especially considering they are all used to the way matt and Dan wrap one another in their arms like sloths. But it just works for them and everyone comes to realize that nothing about them will ever be normal.

In my head I imagine that Neil isn’t particularly good at drawing, but he enjoys doodling to pass the time. Somehow him and Andrew both come to the conclusion that Andrew doesn’t mind the feeling of pen tracing along the skin of his upper arms and the palm of his hand. When Neil is feeling fidgety and restless, this calms his anxieties’ need for closeness and doesn’t make Andrew feel particularly vulnerable so he allows it, and finds himself even enjoying looking down at his arms during the day and seeing something on himself that was indistinguishably made by Neil. Little rackets, stars, squiggly lines, even his name spelled out in Small crooked Russian letters that remind both Andrew and him that Neil is a real and tangible being. It helps Andrew ground himself when he feels the sickening anger swell in his chest throughout the day or the tragic emptiness, or the guttural feeling of strong hands holding him down that he can’t quite get out of his mind.

Can someone please debate me. I personally do not like “lessons in cartography” that much. I’ve read like 60% of it and I find it really boring and plotless. My biggest dislike for it is Andrews personality which is less stoic and tough love and more….? Mean? Not even in general to everyone but neil also. From Neil’s pov sometimes it even seems like Andrew is taking advantage of neil and making his anxiety about things worse. And the whole thing with jack was extremely disturbing and gross.

This may be biased since I think Andrew Minyard is perfect, but I really don’t see how during the foxes’ games, he could ever be scored on if he was genuinely trying to block the shot. I can not picture in my mind Andrew running and trying to smack away a ball, only for it to fly past him to the goal. It’s just so… out of character? I can not see him failing in this way. Especially during a raven game. I just can’t see it happening. No matter how hard anyone trains, i don’t think any one could ever catch him off guard like this, especially under the circumstances. unless it’s neil of course but that’s only cause of his personal feelings. It says in the book out of like 150 shots taken on him he let 13 pass, but what we’re those 13? I suspect he just didn’t care enough to sprint or he got bored and just wanted to watch the color leave Wymacks face. But he would never like one of Rikos shots through, because of Neil and Kevin, I really really can’t see it.
