Unfortunately, most recycling centers are not prepared to handle the pointy edges of the hanger that can easily damage their sorting machines. Before placing any metal clothes hangers in your recycling bin, please confirm that your program accepts them. . Keep in mind, plastic and wooden hangers are much less likely to be accepted in your curbside bin. . Just because your local recycling program accepts “scrap metal” or “all plastic,” think twice before just dropping those clothes 👗👕👚 hangers into your bin. .
