I received several contracts from publishers. Dorrance, Page, Newman Springs, and more. The only draw back is that in today's market publishers can't offer to finance a publication, and the author contributions far exceed my financial budget.
I always wanted to prove to my mom that I was a good enough writer to get published by a professional publisher. She died nearly a year ago but I have not given up!
please help me raise the money

FoxFire Re-ignited Day 1 Fushimi Inari Shrine
Tomoe Meets Nekotsune
A Kamisama Kiss Fan-Fic
Written by
AJ Dunn
Tomoe mused himself as he relaxed in the palanquin Onikiri & Kotetsu prepared specially for this human convention. One of the few times he could present himself in his fox demon form without scaring the sensitive humans. He smirked as he sipped sake from his eternal cup. He never would have considered such festivals had that wretched human girl not tamed the fire within him dragging him to such horrendous things. Nanami was gone now and Tomoe was free to be feral once again.
Humans scampering about in costumes depicting the ancient demons and spirits now thought to be a mere myth if only they knew that many among them were in fact real demons, oh how they would scream. The thought boiled in his veins. Many came by his palanquin for photo ops and he managed to ruin every picture with a ball of foxfire, unbeknownst to them of course.
“Master Tomoe, you should walk around.” Onikiri prodded him. He waved an annoyed at her as if to swat the will of the wisp away from him.
“Master you are missing all of the fun.” Kotetsu chirped.
“It hasn’t been fun since she was robbed from me.” Tomoe snapped. “Nanami would have enjoyed this, but I will spend the rest of eternity alone now.” He sipped his sake feeling less satiated by it as time drew on. He stood up as another group of fans came to get selfies with the less than obliged fox demon. He leaped with grace from the palanquin over the heads of the group forming in front of him.
“I suppose I shall amuse myself with their feeble attempts to copy my likeness,” Tomoe said as he strode into the thicket of humans in yokai costumes. This cosplay convention had begun as a feeble attempt to draw American tourists to Japan. Kyoto was the perfect setting for this as the Sojobo on Mount Kurama would have approved. Kurama himself dawned his “Fallen Angel” ensemble to perform for the masses, while he loved all of the attention he got from the girls, he never forgave Tomoe for failing to protect Nanami. The stupid mortal girl was a danger to herself from the beginning he wouldn’t have to be held responsible for her weakness. The crowd was thick with variations of the demon costumes from Tengu, to Inugami, but what haunted Tomoe most was the many interpretations of Kitsune, the fox demon. The nine-tailed fox spirit had been popular for many years but has constantly changed into this meek cowardly loyal dog. He scoffed. If they want a mutt then they should dress as the inugami instead. Sea Dragons, are they serious. The thought.
“What a purrfect foxfire kimono you have on.” Tomoe heard the voice swirl behind him as he spun to see dared speak to him let alone touch his garment. “Mmmm It looks paw sitively amazing on you… it’s a shame.” Tomoe drew back unable to speak. The audacity of this wannabe prancing about with nine fake white tails adored to her back, her red and orange flamed kimono, and metallic claws. However, what irked him more was the feline ears adorning the short spiky white hair and the feline half mask covering her mouth. Though the craftsmanship and the realistic fangs impressed him, what sort of demon costume was this?”
“How dare you address me.” Tomeo lept back as the girl reached a clawed hand toward his face.
“It is such a shame. That kimono would look so much better on my bedroom floor.” She spun away from him and slipped through the crowd before he could respond. Heat welled up in him as her words fell upon him weighted with such inclination.  Had her words invoked such a temper in his skin, having not felt the embrace of a woman since dear Nanami fell victim to that hateful creature.
His feet moved forward propelled by some unknown force to follow this creature who had enticed him so. Finding her wasn’t hard as the flaming Kimono was the most unique garment in the entire hall. Her feline presence drove his sensibilities into flames he had to know more. He reached a hand out laying it on her shoulder. Her head turned ever so slight gazing upon the clawed hand. Her eyes shifted up to meet his without fully turning to face him.
“Yours is the most inaccurate of all the costumes here.” He said harshly. “You look more like a feline than a fox demon.”
“But of course I do,” She smirked at him. “I didn’t come here to be a copy CAT,” her smirked became a grin as she turned to face him. She threw her right arm into the air before offering a bow before him. “I am Nekotsune. The Flaming Feline Cat Spirit, at your service.” Her gleeful tone threw him back again as he watched her elaborate introduction. He smirked at her as her eyes met his again. Suddenly, as if looking into a mirror he saw it. There was something behind her mask, something her eyes spoke that belied the joy in her voice. His heart throttled in his chest as she gazed into her hazel green eyes. Despair that mimicked his own. How can she smile with her eyes while carrying a pain that made tears well up in his eyes?
Suddenly loud rock music began to play and Tomoe recognized the hateful voice as Kurama began to sing. The girl reached up to her ears in pain her head cowering below her shoulders as she turned and ran through the crowd. Tomoe tried to catch up to her, but she was gone. He felt an emptiness he hadn’t felt since the day Nanami had been murdered. Torn from her as if a piece of his own soul had been sheared from his very being. Tomoe forced his way through the crowd until he was left standing alone in the darkest parts of the hall. He looked back and forth unsure as to where she had gone. He heard the click of a door closing on its own. He turned to his right and followed the sound.
“Master Tomoe, Master Tomoe?” Onikiri and Kotetsu flew through the sky nearly crashing into him.
“Out of my way,” Tomoe yelled as he ran past them. He ran through the double doors into an empty hallway. There was no sign of her.
“Master Tomoe.” Kotetsu finally caught up with him again. He was carrying a piece of paper. “She dropped this.”
“Who did?” Tomoe collected himself and stole himself back to his palanquin as if nothing had happened. His heart fluttering as his mind washed over her face again in his mind.
“The woman you were talking to,” Onikiri said handing him the paper.
“YOU WERE SPYING ON ME?” Tomoe fumed as foxfire welled up around him as he sat in his palanquin. He was about to stand up before Onikiri dropped the paper. He starred at it as it lay on the floor of the palanquin. It appeared to be a map of Fushimi Inara Taisha, the Shinto Shrine. There was a handwritten note in the top right corner. DAY 1. It was dated for tomorrow. He snubbed his nose into the air then took another sip of his sake before tossing a ball of foxfire at the note. Onikiro snatched it before the fire caught it, stuffing it into her shirt so Tomoe wouldn’t know it had been rescued.
Despite the pain in her legs and feet, AJ rose from the bed and hobbled to the bathroom to wash up. She had only been in Japan for two nights now, the first day she pretty much slept off the fatigue that came with traveling from her home in Oregon to Tokyo Japan then taking the jet train to Kyoto. An itinerary that took her 7 years to instigate. Her condition worsened day by day and she knew that if she didn’t fulfill her own death wish, she’d never rest easy in the afterlife. Seeing the shrines of Kyoto had been her dream, her mount Everest of goals knowing that she had been losing her ability to walk since she was 9. Charcot Marie Tooth disease wasn’t a forgiving neuromuscular condition, and it wasn’t alone. Her body, 40 years old, is now plagued with numerous conditions that robbed her of her ability to even breathe without choking, walking without stumbling, even laughing. Her muscles weakened day by down, now the migraines were a plague she couldn’t shake even with prescriptions medications. Last night’s adventure to the cosplay convention was a tempting distraction from her itinerary. Being able to dress up in yokai cosplay was fascinating and she didn’t want to offend the people of Japan by misrepresenting their folklores, so she invented something entirely her own. She would be documenting her anonymously for her online support group. She hadn’t expected to meet such an attractive fox demon fan. Everything about him attracted her. His eyes, his blue foxfire kimono, even his voice. He was the most authentic-looking creature she had ever seen. He even haunted her dreams.
She slapped her face as her mind wandered again to the statement she had made about his kimono looking better on her bedroom floor. She wasn’t quite herself when she was behind the mask, or maybe that was more her than she had ever been. It was freeing to be able to talk so openly. She had never been able to talk to a stranger with such disregard for embarrassment or rejection. She finished bathing then pulled on her AFO’s. The hard plastic braces supported her feet and ankles but heated her calves. She had to wear knee-high socks underneath to prevent rashes and irritations. They were the most uncomfortable piece to her ensemble. She slipped on her kimono and tied the OBI, which wasn’t as easy anymore as it had been when she first made it. Then once her hair was spiked to perfection she clipped her feline ears into place then pulled the half-mask over her mouth. She inspected herself in the mirror. Luckily her Kimono was long enough to hide the braces on her legs, she didn’t want anyone to notice. Unsure of how she would be received. Since she was a teenager anyone who found out about her condition either treated her like a contagion to be avoided or as a liability to be denied participation.
She opened her notebook to the second page. DAY 2 was written in the upper corner. Shock fell on her as she realized her DAY 1 map was gone. She flipped to the first page, it had the full map of Kyoto shrines on it outlining the shrines in order from the Fushimi Shrine to the Kifune shrine. Each day she would visit and explore a new shrine, indulge in the cultural festivities, all the while video blogging it. Today she was meant to tour the Fushimi shrine but the map of it was gone. No matter, she would buy one at the visitor booth when she got there.
She had barely entered the shrine when she began to feel chills rising up in her spine. Chills like last night when he came up behind her. His scent was sweet and alluring like honey cakes & sake. She shuddered, forcing away the image of his eyes peering into her, the thoughts of him haunting and distracted her from her mission. She turned on her camera, a tiny thing mounted invisibly on the bell collar she wore around her neck.
The thousand Torii gates led up the mountain. This tour would take all day, for her. 2-3 hours just to hike up and back at a regular pace, for someone without restrictions, however, she planned to lunch at one of the many restaurants there. Kitsune Udon was her choice for lunch and maybe some tea.
The wind blew as she began the hike. She had been studying the map as she held it tight with both hands. This was never a good idea and she soon realized as the toe of her shoe caught something heaving her forward face first into… nothing. Did she stop falling buy why? It took her a minute to realize that there was an arm around her waist coming from someone standing directly behind her. She was pulled back so suddenly, her back landing firmly against a tall pillar, a person. Glancing over her shoulder she could see the man who held her. His short dark hair was tousled as if windblown. His face was stern with a bit of stubble. His eyes looked familiar to her, as did the smell of sake, but nothing else about him seemed familiar.
“Watch where you are going.” He said firmly before releasing her. She nearly stumbled forward at the sudden separation from him. She felt cold and distant in his departure as he walked past her entering the trail leading up the mountain. She stuffed the map into her notebook then tucked it into her belt and began walking up the trail. His pace was quite a bit faster than hers and she soon lost sight of him. It didn’t take her long before the fatigue in her legs began to burn through her whole body. She forced a few more steps before she simply couldn’t take another. She found a bench slightly off the trail and sat down. Looking out over the path she had just come. She lasted longer than she expected. The burning in her legs became a tingling sensation as if the burning was stripping the sensation from her legs leaving them numb from the hips down. She groaned as the feeling slowly began to return to her legs.
“You’re not even halfway there, are you giving up so soon?” a voice came gruffly from behind her. “How weak.” Anger fumed up in her as she could hear the unspoken words, the words her mother would have said if she were still alive. ‘You can’t do it so give up now.”
“MMM, rushing such an adventure would be Catastrophic.” She quipped, she loved her cat puns. She heard him scoff behind her but he didn’t leave.
“Why are you here?” He stepped closer to the bench staying behind her. “Dressed like that.”
“Do you find it offensive?” She asked smirking under her mask.
“What? NO.” He nearly shouted. “It’s just, unusual for someone especially a foreigner to be dressed like that.”
“How do you know I am a foreigner, is my Japanese not purrfect?” she stood up. She turned but he was gone. She made her way back to the path and continued the climb. It wasn’t long before the fatigue came back to her legs. She could smell the savory scents filling the air, she must be getting closer to the restaurants. She could almost taste the Udon. She found the line quite long and stood there. As desperate as her legs pleaded for her to sit she didn’t want to lose her place in line and willed herself to stand her ground. Her knees began to wobble and lip as she fought hard to remain standing. The burning was now giving way to the familiar sensation of tingles and soon numbness would take over. She sighed, she knew it was too late, she wouldn’t be able to move her legs to walk to a bench. Her knees were gone now as she felt her body slip to the ground. She threw her hands out in front of her trying to catch herself but she stopped. Once again, an arm and a familiar scent surrounded her.
“Pathetic.” the voice once again from behind her. This time as he pulled her against his body he held her firmly as the feeling began to return to her legs. It was only a few minutes, but it felt like a lifetime as her heart pounded heavily in her chest. ‘Had she forgotten to take her heart medication again?’ Soon she could feel her legs again and attempted to step forward letting him know she was okay.
“Thank you.” She whispered
“Shut up.” his voice was quiet with a feigned harshness. She glanced over her shoulder and saw him looking away. “Keep moving your holding up the line.” She giggled then stepped forward.
“Kitsune Udon and Oolong tea please.” She asked once she reached the head of the line. She lifted the side of her kimono slightly to reach the thigh pocket of her leggings. She thought it was the safest place to put her wallet.
“Make that two.” the voice from behind her came as a hand reached over her shoulder to offer the money to the cashier. They handed him a plastic paddle with a number on it. She looked up in surprise but before she could object, his arm was around her shoulders pulling her to the closest empty table. He sat in front of her but didn’t look at her.
“Why are you doing this?” He asked without looking at her.
“Doing what?”
“Stop.”
“Stop talking your voice is annoying.” he gruffed tossing a glance at her without turning his head towards her.
“If it’s so annoying, why do you keep asking me dumb questions?”
“They’re not dumb questions, your just dumb.” he shot her an angry look his hand flat on the table. “It’s clear you can barely stand let alone walk and here you are hiking a trail.” She laughed at him. His angry expression softened.
“I’m doing it for a fundraiser.” She smiled. The waiter brought out a tray with two large bowls, two teacups, and a kettle of tea, they set the bowls and cups down then poured tea into each cup. His face relaxed as he sat back. His face appeared disinterested but his eyes remained on her. He couldn’t stop looking at her, watching her, wondering what would possess a person to put their bodies through so much pain and agony.
“What fundraiser?” he folded his arms over his chest as she poured sugar into her teacup. “Aren’t you going to take off that ridiculous mask?” She reached up to her ears and released the mask lowering it to her lap then she began to sip the broth of her Udon. His heart thudded for a moment as he stared at her lips. Her face was unmasked by makeup. Her cherry pink lips were bare of any lipstick or gloss but something remarkable, something… he shook it out of his head.
“Each day, I will visit one of the many shrines of Kyoto, documenting my adventure.” She tapped the bell on her collar. “And each day I post the said video on my vlog, and my viewers pledge money to the CMTA Research Center.” Anger filled up his demeanor and he hunched forward his hands back on the table.
“You’re filming me? NOW?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll edit out all of these encounters with you, as I block out the faces of the strangers that I pass.” She said slurping up the noodles with a fork. He watched her hands and she fumbled with the fork. It was clear she wouldn’t be able to use chopsticks as her hands could barely hold the fork. He settled back into his seat shifting his face to look away from her. He reached out to his cup to sip from it not moving on his bowl of Udon.
“What is CMTA.” He asked quietly?”
“I thought you wanted me to stop talking because my voice is annoying?” She watched him fume again.
“Just answer the question.” he huffed then began to spoon Udon broth into his mouth.
“Charcot Marie Tooth Association, it’s an organization devoted to helping people with CMT strive for a better life and a hope for a cure.” She said before eating more of her Udon. He glanced up at her not impressed with her short answer.
“What is CMT?”
“A condition of the peripheral nervous system and results in the deterioration of the nerve and muscle tissue throughout the body.”
“Is that why you are so weak?” his blunt question was met with a laugh.
“You could say it was the first stone on my grave.” she laughed again.
“So, you’re dying?” He felt a sharp pang in his chest, she laughed again.
“We all are.”
“Speak for yourself,” he announced.
“Right, because your a fox demon?” she teased.
“Yes, Wait, what makes you think that?” He said sharply. She pointed to her hair.
“You still have a bit of white from last night just there.” He hadn’t realized the color of his hair had begun changing back. It was too late to fix it, now if had she’d notice and realize he actually was a demon. “What’s your name?”
“Shut up and eat.” he picked up his chopsticks and began slurping up the noodles.  “Do you intend to keep going?”
“All the way to the end.” She said then returned to her food.

Myrnah
Story of Mau & Manny
Written by
AJ Dunn
Mau sat shivering in the cold. The rain poured down on her as the night seemed to go on and on. Dark clouds poured rain in thick heavy drops. Her stomach ached from hunger, as she hadn't had a real meal in days. Not since her half-brother cast her out of Marida. A very peculiar turn of events had landed her stranded in a forest far from her home. She was lost and alone as she sat and cried. This all happened just days ago.
In the capital city of Marida, Shytah and his wife Buhimmish sat as elders to the Gods in a temple as old as time. Shytah had one son from a previous wife and his name was Shefertem. Whhen Shefertem was nut a young boy, Shytah took Buhimish as his and she bore him a daughter. Mau had long thick black hair, and tan colored skin. When she cried, every cat in the village came to comfort her. Her dark eyes like onyx gems gleamed with joy at every wondrous sight she seen. Life seemed to dance around her and her parents doted upon her every blessing the Gods would grant them. Shefertem was very jealous growing up with her getting all of the attention from everyone.
By the time Mau was in her 16th year, she had explored every hall in the great temple, and knew all the stories written in hieroglyphs on the walls. Stories depicting a time of great prosperity in a far off region of Myrnah that was once known as the great Gardens. Now desolate and barren, the land is known as the Badlands or Ontura's Dessert. A war once broke out there after a woman was scorned and left by her love. She wrought her revenge and was damned by the Gods to live an eternity in her own Dessert. Buhimmish would tell Mau, to never allow her scorn to burn her up like the rage that caused Ontura's downfall.
"Bring peace where you walk my child." She would say. "For love will endure all things." Then she would sing her to sleep with twinkling lights dancing overhead. "Not all stories end with a happy tune." She'd say, "Some start with one." Mau's life certainly started with a happy tune. She barely knew life outside of the temple and even in the city she'd see the people, but rarely mingled with any other than those brought in to cater to her needs. She would see others but was not allowed to partake of their lives. The stable folks would saddle a horse for her, but she wasn't allowed to play with their son. Even though the boy whose name she never knew would watch her with his dark longing eyes while his father taught her how to ride.
Mau would bore easily, the lack of children her age to mingle with was stupefying. She watched the stable boy from her room as he brushed the horses. Sometimes he would climb a tree unaware of her watching him. She saw him one day plucking apples from the Temple trees. A look of fear crossed his face when he realized he had been seen. Mau placed one finger over her lips. The boy smiled at her. The very next day she found a rose placed on her balcony where she would sit.
Mau found herself getting lost in the halls of the temple one day. She decided to step outside of the bounds her parents had always set for her. Watching the stable boy do something he knew to be wrong, didn't seem to be harmful. She slipped down a corridor she had never been. A place that was dark with sandstone walls and steps going down a long narrow stairway. She lit a torch once she was far enough down she didn't think anyone would spot her. At the bottom of the steps was a circular room with hieroglyphs she had never seen before. Stories and images seemed to dance on the walls with jewels carved into the sandstone walls. Shapes of creatures she had never seen before. Three great lights danced in the sky unlike the two suns that hung there now. The red sun which shines in the day, and a blue sun at night. This made the sky purple and it was never dark. The light of the blue sun made it darker than the day, but not as dark as the images depicted on the wall. A bright yellow sun shone over a garden full of purple flowers. A Dimmer blue light shone over a darkened land where all you could see was silhouettes of the structures. Mau sat before these images for hours before she heard someone coming down the corridor. Mau quickly plunged her torch into a barrel of water that always sits below every torch. She quickly hid in the corner. There were several closed doors but Mau had not dared to venture beyond them. But as the light of someone else' torch brighten with every step Mau pushed hard on the nearest door and flung herself inside closing it gently behind her.
She heard a door open up outside her door. Then she heard voices.
"When do you want it done?" A man asked with a shaky voice.
"Soon." She heard Shefertem speak. "Her 18th year is upon her, and I fear what that will bring to my birthright." Mau began to question what her brother was talking about. She was only 16 years, 17 in a few days, and how would her 18th threaten his birthright, he was the elder child. Mau heard a mouse scurry across the floor kicking up dust as it flew past her. Mau sneezed then suddenly covered her mouth hoping no one had noticed. The voices stopped. "You may have your chance sooner than later." Shefertem said. Footsteps came closer then the door to the room Mau was hiding in opened. The light from Shefertems torch brightened the room so that Mau could see that what she was sitting in was a shrine to the Goddess Glorah. Images of her white tigress face and paws, her tail dancing about behind her. A gentle white gown with slits up to the hips on both side showing a very feminine and fierce woman. A voss of purple flowers painted along the side sat on an ivory pedestal.
"You are making this too easy little sister." Shefertem smirked.
"You get the throne Shef." Mau stammered. "Your older than me and you get the throne not me. You'll be 18 this year."
"Your wrong Mau." Shefertem squatted right in front of her holding the torch above her head. "They've lied to you for almost 18 years. She is not your mother, she's mine!" Shefertem reached out with his left hand striking her across the face. Mau could see the shadowy figure in the doorway cringe at the sound from the corner of her eyes. Her face turned away from Shefertem as tears began to escape down her cheek kissing her burning face. Mau had never been struck before. "How is that Mau? How do you like to feel pain? You have caused me so much pain for so many years." Shefertem stood up turning to the shadow in the doorway. "Well, here's your chance. I want her dead and gone."
"Wh...what shall I do with the body sir?" the man gulped
"Your a spell caster are you not?" Shefertem smirked. "I have a pest problem, get rid of it for me." The words came out cold and unfamiliar as Shefertem stepped passed the man and left the room. Mau looked up to see the man standing in the light of another torch that had been place on the sconce in the round room. The man turned and watched Shefertem leave then turned back to Mau. Fear ran through her veins hot and she began to sweat. Yet she shivered as if the heat was so deep in her body it could not warm her skin. Mau coward in the corner. He stepped into the chamber closing the door behind him blocking out the light. He began to chant words she had never heard. Suddenly light blossomed so bright she couldn't see anything. She turned over to her knees and hands and tried to crawl away from the man but there was nowhere to go. So she curled up in a ball underneath the picture of Glorah. She began to say the prayer her mother told her to say if she was ever in grave danger like this.
"Oh Glorah mother of thy own, around me cast your warmth and love protect me from the darkness and keep me safe from harm." Mau chanted it over and over until she began to feel dizzy and sleepy. She forgot what she had been chanting the prayer for and fell asleep. It was just a dream.
Mau woke to darkness. She couldn't remember anything. She tried to look around but the room was without any light. Mau had never felt so cold and alone. The floor was hard. She struggled to come to grips with what had happened. She couldn't see or hear anything and she had no idea how long she had been asleep. Mau just layed there. Her head was still swimming and she felt very heavy. She could hear footsteps coming down the stairs and a faint sound of voices. Shefertem was coming back with the spell caster. The door opened and only the spell caster stepped in. He was carrying a bag in his hand. Mau closed her eyes until only a slit remained of view. She hoped he would think her dead or asleep and leave her alone. He reached down and nudged her with his hand. He then began to run his hand along her back. Mau was confused by this sensation. She couldn't feel his hand on her skin, but also she couldn't feel the clothes she had been wearing.
Mau looked up at him but he simply placed his finger over his lips then nudged her head back to the floor. Mau closed her eyes again.
"It worked. Hand me her clothes there on the floor and I'll take your pest to be disposed of." the man said turning to Shefertem. Mau could barely see Shefertem hand him the dress she had been wearing. Fear of herself lying there naked on the floor, and how did her clothes get taken off. Mau's heart began to race. What did he do to me. The man stuffed her clothes into the bag then slid the bag under her backside and slid it up over her body. It felt awkward as she could feel her knees against her belly but her feet weren't by her butt. Her hands were under her face. Mau began to acclimate herself with her own position for the first time as she slid inside the bag and was lifted from the ground. It wasn't a very big bag, and she was lifted with much ease.
"You assure me she is dead?" Shefertem asked
"She got exactly what she deserves, sir." the man said and began to walk. Mau curled up in the bag curious as to her current predicament. The man was hired to kill her and haul off her dead body. How is he going to get out of the temple with a bag over his shoulder and her dead body inside. Mau attempted to brush the hair from her face only to realize she has no fingers. Instead, she had a paw.

Miraculous One Shot: Truth Singer
A Miraculous Fan-Fic Musical Episode
Written by
AJ Dunn
This was it. Adrien’s 21’s birthday and Marinette was already hard at work on the preparations. Gabriel no longer had control over Adrien so there was nothing stopping him from coming to this party. Marinette had been planning for this day for years and now it was here. Her footlocker in her parent’s apartment was already full of gifts for his next 15 years worth of birthdays, yet every year she ended up making him another gift. This time was no different. She had learned her lesson about not signing her gifts after the whole scarf mix up. Now, she made sure the item she made for him had her signature in it somewhere so there could never be any question as to who actually made it for him.
This year, in light of him being of legal adult age, she wanted to give him something more mature. She had seen him in a black leather jacket in one of his photo shoots and decided to make him something, not exactly like that one, but one that would suit him much better. She had spent days designing the perfect jacket, the zippers, the seams, even the measurements. She had been allowed to accompany him to several photo shoots where she watched the designers with detailed eyes adjust and fit him into the outfits his father had designed for him. She managed to sneak a peek at his measurements and made note of them as she drew out her own designs.
As the jacket now lay out on her bed she examined every stitch for perfection. The main zipped going up just slightly past his collar bone, was silver. With two slanted pockets near the waist. The fabric around the armpits and sides was a moisture wicking sports material that, while it was designed to move with the wearer, was also designed to keep him cool. His photo shoot was of him sitting on a motorcycle. A kind of rough yet dreamy image that made Marinette melt just thinking about it. The stitching had been done in a neon green to accent his emerald eyes. It would be a slim fitting jacket, she thought, hoping she got the measurements right. It seemed like it was going to be too big for him.
She was so lost in thought she didn’t hear the trap door to the attic open up as Alya, Rose, Juleka, and Mylene bounced excitedly into the room.
“Do you think she’ll do it this time?” Rose sang.
“Doubtful.” Alix came in looking bored. “How many times has she tried to tell Adrien she loved him and look what happened?”
“Well let’s see, She’s fallen on her face.” Alya started
“Chickened out.” Mylene added
“Gave him the wrong piece of folded paper.” Alya laughed remembering the prescription Adrien had picked up for her that had been meant for someone else. They all laughed at that one.
“It wasn’t funny.” Marinette spun around her face flushed with rose red on her cheeks.
“Dropped the letter into the sewer.” Juleka muttered
“Oh, and let’s not forget how many times she forgot to sign her name.” Alya teased, one hand resting on her hip as the other flung into the air.
“It’s true, Marinette, you are as much of a clutz telling Adrien how you feel as you are on your feet.” Rose laughed.
“You are the only single one among us now, Marinette.” Alix thought it would be her to be the last one to hook up with someone until she met a guy in College. Most of them had stayed behind to attend college from home. Especially with the fact that Hawk Moth was still akumatizing people and while no one but Ladybug knew everyone’s secret, they kept their reasons for staying behind a secret as well, in case Ladybug needed them.
“I will do it this time, I promise.” Marinette felt so confident as she looked at her friends as they cheered her on.
The music in the park began and the girls realized they better hurry up. They ran past Tom as he was carrying the cake across the street. It was a multi tiered cake with green trim. Sabine was already at the park putting macarons on the table. Nino had the DJ booth up as he mixed music just like he had done the first time he threw a party for his best friend.
“Dudes and Dudettes, the birthday boy.” Nino called out as Adrien climbed up on the makeshift stage and began to sing along to the song that was playing. Marinette watched him dance and suddenly she forgot how to walk. She stumbled into a bench and fell over. She recovered quickly, not releasing the package she clung to her chest. His movements were so fluid as his legs kicked and stomped about to the rock song he was singing along too. He didn’t move around this much when he played with the band because he had to focus on the keyboard. It was truly a unique experience for Marinette.
The song had ended as Marinette remained frozen, glued to the bench as if he was still singing and dancing on the stage.
“Hi Marinette, what did you think,” Adrien scratched the back of his neck as he looked down at her. Oh No he was talking to her, he was looking at her, when did he get there? Marinette could feel the heat welling up in her cheeks as she sat paralyzed by his smile, his eyes… “Is that for me? Can I open it?” he asked. She suddenly realized she was crushing the package in her arms. She held it out for him to take her eyes frozen on his. He tore the paper open tossing it to the ground as Mylene picked it up for him. He held the jacket up by the shoulders musing over it before stripping off his coat and pulling the leather jacket on. He zipped it up and suddenly Marinette realized just how filled out she was. He wasn’t the thin boy he used to be, his broad shoulders and tone upper body now exposed the man he was as the jacket fit every detail of his upper body within it’s form fitting style. The zipper made its way to his neck then his eyes met hers again.
“I just need a silver bell.” He reached up pretending to flick a bell that wasn’t there. Marinette jumped to her feet. Her mind raced as she suddenly realized something she should have known all along. It was so obvious as she now looked up at her friend, her best friend, her crush….HER PARTNER. She ran!
Adrien couldn’t understand what had happened. He watched her run from the park but was so dumbfounded his feet wouldn’t move to go after her.
“Not again.” Alya said, walking up beside him.
“What did I do?” Adrien was beside himself with worry as he watched her. She wasn’t even heading home.
“It’s not you, it’s Marinette, she always does this.” Rose said anger fueling her words as she stormed out of the park.
“Well… I guess she can try again another day.” Juleka muttered.
“Try what?” Adrien spun around to face her.
“Nothing.” Juleka left to try to catch up with Rose. A
“Alya?” Adrien begged. “What is going on?” Alya just shook her head and led him back to the party. It had only been a few minutes before the music was stopped by an akumatized victim tossing a large rock at the DJ Booth demolishing it.
“I am Truth Singer.” the villain said, “And from now on you will all sing your truths so the whole world can hear.” Adrien backed up. This isn’t good. He had to get out of there before the villain made him sing, his truth had to remain a secret. Nino was the first one hit by the villain's powers. He began to sing Perfect, by Ed Sheeran as he took Alya’s hand. She tried to get away to run but was mesmerized by his song.
Adrien took this opportunity to run while the rest of the party scattered from the park.
“Plagg, we can’t get hit no matter what.” The Kwami didn’t respond. Oh right. He thought, my jacket. He ran back to the park and found his other jacket laying on the bench. He grabbed it and ran back to the alley. “Plagg?” the Kwami came out of the pocket smelling like stinky cheese.
“Wow, I wonder how many people thought you looked like Cat Noir?” Plagg said, noting the leather jacket.
“You think that might be why Marinette ran? Do you think she recognized me?”
“She made it didn’t she?” Plagg asked. Adrien lifted the cuff to inspect the stitching, just on the inside of the cuff of both arms was the signature stitching she had placed on everything she had made him. He nodded. He wondered if it bothered her, the thought that he might be Cat Noir or if she truly was in love with Cat. No time for that now.
“Plagg Claws out.” He inspected his Cat suit to realize the suit Marinette made him was very much similar, however the designs were unique. The Cat suit was solid black versus the neon green stitching of the Marinette jacket. He ran back to the park where he found Several people singing. The akumatized person was gone. He could hear her in the distance calling. He gave chase until he found her on Marinette’s balcony.
“Oh Marinette, it’s time to sing your truth, it’s been far too long keeping your love bottled up.” Truth Singer sang out. What was she talking about?
“I hate to break it to you but Marinette isn’t much of a singer.” He announced his presence on the roof above her. “But I will be happy to take that akuma from you then we can go find her together, and ask her about this secret you are speaking of.” He lept at her scratching at the bottle of perfume she held in her hands. It was much like Princess Fragrance only instead of turning people into her slaves, she was making them sing about their truth. He missed. Suddenly he was engulfed in smoke. He tried to cough it out of his lungs but it was too late.
He landed on the railing of Marinette’s balcony balancing on all fours.
“Well little lady, let me Elucidate here.” He said. He had no idea what to do, he couldn’t stop. “Everybody wants to be a cat
Because a cat's the only cat
Who knows where it's at”
He flipped backward as she swung at him. Maintaining his balance on the railing until there wasn’t any left.
“Tell me, everybody's pickin' up on that feline beat
'Cause everything else is obsolete
A square with a horn makes you wish you weren't born”
He leaped over her head to the other side of the railing standing up right.
“Every time he plays
But with a square in the act
You can set music back” He held his hands up  in a shrug gesture. He pulled out his baton. As she came at him again. Her mouth twisted in a snarl as she kicked at him.
“To the caveman days, cha-cha-ba-dum-bo-day
I've heard some corny birds who who tried to sing
Still a cat's the only cat who knows how to swing
Who wants to dig a long-haired gig or stuff like that?”
“AAH.” She growled, charging at him again. He jumped into the air flipping over her. “Stop moving so I can get your miraculous.” she demanded.
“When everybody wants to be a cat
A square with a horn makes you wish you weren't born
Every time he plays
Oh, a rinky-tinky-tinky
With a square in the act you can set music back
To the caveman days”

“Enough you stupid cat that song is annoying.” She screamed at him. He might not have had any control over it, but it was working. “How is that song your truth anyway?”
“Yes, everybody wants to be a cat
Because a cat's the only cat who knows where it's at
When playin' jazz you always has a welcome mat
'Cause everybody digs a swinging cat”. The truth was clear, he loved being in his cat form. He never felt more like himself than when he was popping off puns, flirting and being generally playful, he always had to be as serious as Adrien, but as Cat, he had all the freedom in the world.

Everybody, everybody, everybody wants to be a cat
Hallelujah!
Everybody, everybody, everybody wants to be a cat
Everybody, everybody, everybody wants to be a cat
Everybody, everybody

He launched for the perfume bottle again. If only he could call his cataclysm. Suddenly her attention was drawn elsewhere. He followed her gaze and found Marinette sitting alone on a bench down the street. Was she crying. Truth Singer dove off the rooftop before he could grab her. He spun his baton then jumped from the roof extending his staff to give himself a quicker path to Marinette. He landed on the concrete in front of her as Truth Singer was on his heels. He wasted no time scooping her into his arms like a bride before he ran leaping off the walls as he made his way to the rooftops.

“You're the light, you're the night
You're the color of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so much” Damn Marinette got hit. He looked down at her face. It was red as she reached up for his face. So far, this power isn’t revealing their secrets, it’s just making them sing a truthful song, something they felt.

“You're the fear, I don't care
'Cause I've never been so high
Follow me through the dark
Let me take you past our satellites
You can see the world you brought to life, to life”

Her voice was beautiful, he thought as he tried to find a place to stash Marinette, where was Ladybug. He had tried to refrain from singing, at least keeping his voice so low that no one else could hear him. He wanted to focus on her voice.
“So love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do
Love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do
Touch me like you do, to-to-touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?”
Cat froze on the rooftop, his eyes met hers. The heat rose up in his cheeks as she sang. His heart began to flutter. Does she feel this way about Cat Noir, or did she figure it out and know he’s Adrien.
“Fading in, fading out
On the edge of paradise
Every inch of your skin, is a Holy Grail I've gotta find
Only you can set my heart on fire, on fire”
He gulped back a lump that had started to form on his lips. He was glad he had made distance between them and Truth Singer, or did she get what she wanted. He squatted down on the rooftop as she sang to him. He stroked her face. He could feel his own song changing. Suddenly his feelings, his heart began to sing. The power of the magic between them had actually changed his song.
“I'll let you set the pace
'Cause I'm not thinking straight
My head's spinning around, I can't see clear no more
Oh, what are you waiting for?” Cat Noir sang out the words before they escaped her lips.
“Love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do
Love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do
Touch me like you do, to-to-touch me like you do, oh
What are you, what are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?” These were her words sung through his lips as she froze. Her face reddened. He knew he had feelings for her, but he never wanted to admit it, he didn’t want to betray his feelings for Ladybug, but how could he deny the feelings he had been developing for Marinette since day one. Maybe it was just the magic from the akuma, but he no longer controlled his own emotions. He cupped her face in his free hand as the other one was behind her back as she draped over his knees. He pulled her face closer to his, watching her eyes drift shut.
““I'll let you set the pace
'Cause I'm not thinking straight
My head's spinning around, I can't see clear no more
Oh, what are you waiting for?” She sang just as his lips met hers. Their mouths opened as they pressed themselves closer together feeling every inch of her mouth on his. He could feel the song magic fading, the urge to sing no longer present, but what was this feeling in his heart? It was as if his heart had been turned into butterflies and they were swarming his chest trying to escape. He kept his lips on hers, waiting for her to push him away. She didn’t, she weaved her fingers through his hair gently combing through.
“Give me your Miraculous Cat Noir, and I will use you to draw out Ladybug.” Truth Singer was right behind him. He quickly grabbed his baton spinning on his heels as he moved Marinette behind him.
“Grab on.” He said. She jumped on his back as he extended the staff launching them into the atmosphere then swinging it forward vaulting them into flight. They began to fall as she held onto him. He angled to fall to land in and alley way as they came down between the buildings he moved his staff between the building like a hanging rod sliding down the brick building until they slowed just feet from the ground. She dropped from his shoulders as he held on to the now lodged baton. He reached out a hand to her.
He released the baton as it shrunk back to the length of a ruler. He locked it back in place on his back. Marinette stood in front of him still red in the face.
“I guess kissing a purrincess can break any spell.” He knelt before her, taking her hand in his and kissed her knuckles. She simply stood frozen in place. Unable to speak. “Tell me now purrincess, why did she want you to sing your truth?”
“I have already told you Cat.” She whispered. “About the boy I like, but I haven’t been able to tell him how I feel, I am such a klutz with my words when I am around him.” A single tear fell from her eye.
“Could you ever love me?” Cat asked her.
“I don’t know who you are under the mask.”
“I am more myself with the mask, then I have ever been without it, can you love this side of me.” he stood up taking both her hands in his. “And I love you for everything that you are, your clumsiness as well.” he smirked. Heat raced to his face as he watched her, he felt his heart still as his confession fell upon her ears.
“What about Ladybug.” She whimpered.
“In the words of a special friend of mine…Plagg, it’s okay to love two people at the same time, especially when they are so much alike.”
“I’m nothing like Ladybug.” she pulled her hands back. His smile widened.
“Will you please answer my question?” his heart couldn’t take it anymore. “Can you love this side of me? This man you see before you,” She looked back up at him. “Put the thought of that Sunshine boy out of your head for one second, and focus on me.” Marinette sighed.
“Yes.” She admitted. “Yes Cat, I do love you, but…”
“Claws in.” Marinette closed her eyes, blinding by his detransformation. “I trust you, after all you are the only one I know besides myself who has never been akumatized.” He chuckled. He cupped both hands on her cheeks forcing her to look up at him. He could hear Truth Singer in the distance looking for Cat and Ladybug. “You have to open your eyes Marinette,.” She slowly slid her eyes open. Her face reflected a realization that maybe She had figured it out earlier in the park. His heart stilled in his chest waiting for her response.
“Spots on.”
“Best birthday ever.” Adrien said, lowering his face to place his lips on Ladybugs. He kept his eyes open as she closed hers. The moment their lips met, his closed as they melted into each other's kisses.
There you go LadyNoir and Marichat Shippers. We don’t need to finish this story, we all know what happens to the akumatized person.
Ps, I didn't write the songs, but credit aristocats for the feline good song "Everybody wants to be a cat" and Ellie Goulding for "love me like you do"

Miraculous Flash Forward Part 16: Familiar Enemies
A Miraculous Fan-Fic
Written By
AJ Dunn
It had been years since the four of them had done this, it made them all feel like children again as they walked around Paris looking for Andre. The sun was beginning to descend casting hues of pink and orange across the blue sky.
“It’s the most romantic time of day.” Marinette said. “I bet we’ll find him by the Seine.”
“I agree, Andre never could miss a romantic opportunity.” Alya agreed. Nino took her hand as they ran like children towards the bridge. This was where the Liberty used to dock all the time. Adrien remembered when all of their friends would gather on this bank to eat Andre’s ice cream and listen to Kitty Section. He had always wanted it to be Marinette that he shared an ice cream with, but she always denied having feelings for him, no matter how hard he fished for it. He smiled down at her as they waited behind Nino and Alya to get their ice cream for the first time.
“Uhh… Marinette, what a vision of perfection, and Young Adrien is a man fit for her protection…” His face seems more delighted to see them together than pretty much anyone else. “Mint for his emerald starre, Black Cherry for the beautiful lives you will share, Your love is as destined as the stars astuc upon the sea. You two were always meant to be.” he handed Adrien the cone as Marinette and Alya giggled. They sat down by the Seine for old times sake as they reminisced.
“Wait, you finally proposed?” Nino wasn’t quiet. “Did she say yes?”
“Well, no, she kinda just babbled for a few minutes until I just kissed her and that was the end of it.” Adrien looked at her cheeks now flushed then spooned a bite of ice cream into her mouth.
“Do you guys hear that?” Alya said as everyone quieted to listen. There was music playing nearby, band music. They all stood up and headed down the bank of the Seine until they found the source.
“The Liberty.” they all shouted in unison as they ran towards it. The gangplank was up and they could see their old friends playing. Luka and Julek on guitars. Ivan on the drums. Mylene, and Zoe, seated on actual seats rather than box’s. There were two small square tables now on the deck with four chairs each. Mylene and Zoe were seated at one table. The song came to an abrupt end as Adrien crossed the gangplank with Marinette’s hand in his. They were following Alya and Nino, but when the song ended it was the moment Luka’s eyes caught Adriens.
“It’s about time.” Luka set his guitar down and ran to the couple. He threw his arms around Adrien’s neck pulling him tight into a hug. They were nearly the same height but Luka was still rather thin compared to the musculature tone of Adriens chest and shoulders. “I knew you two were roommates, and there had been rumors that you were more.” he said as he pulled away. The turned his attention to Marinette giving her a hug, stooping to reach her shoulders.
“Adrien...Adrien...Adrien.” the band called to him urging him to join them on stage. Adrien blushed as he pulled out a seat for Marinette. Alya and Nino sat down at the empty table with Marinette. Zoe and Mylene moved their chairs and pushed the two tables together so they could all sit together. Adrien stepped up to the keyboard.
“I haven’t played in so long.” He confessed. “But uh, can you guys do this.” he hit a few notes mimicking a tune for a song.
“Bad Romance, hell yeah.” Luka said.
“I don’t know the words to that one.” Rose said, as she was the main singer.
“Let me handle this one.” Adrien smiled. He looked over at Marinette. She hadn’t been listening so he started playing out the tune. The audience stopped talking and watched. The upbeat music took over as Adrien began to sing the lyrics. Juleka almost missed her beat as she was caught off guard. Rose stood quietly listening to him before she too began to sing, didn’t know all of the lyrics, but she knew the harmony.
“Adrien, I always knew you a lot more rock & roll and a lot less piano solo.” Luka smiled. “Another one?” Adrien smiled at Marinette who’s eyes locked on his. Adrien nodded. Adrien started playing a tune, Luka recognized it and began playing along with Juleka as Ivan stilled his drums to watch.
Adrien's voice rose up as he sang a song that often played in his mind when he was with Marinette. It was Perfect, by Ed Sheeran. The crowd awed as the words slipped softly from his lips as he played his eyes lost in hers. He watched her face glow. Her hands folded together under her chin. He almost lost his words as her eyes twinkled with the love he felt for her. When the line about having children came, she blushed and turned her eyes away. He hadn’t gone that far with her, not yet. He wanted to, so badly it hurt, but he was holding on to the one thing he had never given anyone, he wouldn’t give it away that easily and he was sure she had never experienced it either.
The night out on the town had been a well needed break from the twins. They were spending the night with Tom & Sabine, in Marinette’s old bedroom. They were happy to get to bake cookies and Tom was excited to teach them. Adrien mused over what it would be like to have grandchildren and this was his trial run.
Adrien and Marinette made transformed into Cat and Ladybug for a high rise tour of the city. A means to get back to the people they used to be. This time, as they ran from rooftop to rooftop with Adrien’s cat puns and jests, Marinette returned his jokes with snarky playful comments in response. Adrien was happy she had stopped shutting down his playful side and let herself enjoy it. The one hesitancy he had to let her have all of him, was her inability to accept all of him. He had worried that she only saw the sunshine boy that his father had made him out to be, and that she wouldn’t accept him for who he really was.
“I hope you can love this side of me,” He said as he collided with her in mid-air. He hung by one arm suspended under a street lamp as he clung to her with the other. “Because this is who I truly am. Not that.” He looked up to see an old poster of him from his modeling days sprawled out on a street advert. It was from his fragrance commercial. Suddenly and before their eyes, the images changed to photos from the days his father made him pose with Lila. She was kissing him, but he never kissed her on the lips. A pink heart was around their faces as the close up showed them locked in a loving embrace.
“What the…” Adrien lost his grip on the lamp post as he and Ladybug slipped to the street below.
“Adrien.” Marinette said, staring at the image. “You and Lila?”
“I never have,” he said angrily. “This is fake. But how.” Ladybug swung her yo-yo angrily at the poster knowing that vandalism was a crime didn’t change the ache in her heart. The image dissolved into smoke and an image of Kitty Section took it’s place.
“A mirage.” Ladybug said.
“Vulpina?”
“But how, Hawk Moth was the only way she could receive her powers.” Ladybug thought for a second. “Trixx.” She called Alya,
“Do you have Trixx, are you still wearing your…”
“Slow down girl, yeah of course. Why?” Ladybug sighed and told her about the mirage. They heard a maniacal laugh coming from the rooftops and quickly descended, letting her phone call go. They scout the town until they saw her coming towards them. It was Rena Rouge.
“I came as quickly as I could.” Rena said. “Where…” they could hear the laughter again coming from an adjacent rooftop.
“You will never be as powerful as me, Rena Rouge.” The voice came from the supervillain Vulpin.
“You’re just a bad copy from an old book.’ Cat yelled back. The three stood on the rooftop ready for whatever she would send their way.
“Hawk Moth will give me any power I want,” She sang into the air.
“Hawk Moth?” the three said together. In an instant, the maniac was gone. She was just another illusion. The three separated, agreeing to meet up later to discuss what just happened.
“Felix?” Marinette asked as they sat on the couch in his room. “I hate to think he is Hawk Moth, but…”
“It fits. I mean he was the last one to have the broach, he disappeared before the end of the tempest battle, and…”
“He’s been missing ever since.” Marinette finished.
“I uh, had someone make up the next room for you…”
“OH…” Marinette folded an arm over her chest draping her hand on her shoulder. “Okay.”
“I mean, you said…” Adrien scratched the back of his neck for a minute as he stood up looking at his childhood bed. They had slept together before, but it wasn’t a regular thing. He stripped off his t-shirt and tossed it on the floor. Looking back down at her as she sat on the couch. Her face slowly turned up as her eyes traced the lines on his belly to the lines on his chest. Her face glowed brightly until they locked eyes.
“Well?” He offered her his hand. She took it as she stood up. He guided her to his bed. He pulled back the blankets on the side she normally slept on and pulled her to it laying her down. They had already put on their pajamas, however, he liked to sleep with as little on as possible when he slept alone. However, with her in his bed, he didn’t trust his own self-control without a few layers between them.
She clung to his hand as he stood at the side of the bed. He dove over her making the bed bounce. She giggled as he playful rolled around messing up the blankets. She scruffed his wild blond hair before he straightened himself laying his head on the pillow only centimeters from her face.
“Silly Kitty.” Marinette rolled to her side and faced him.
“I hope this doesn’t BUG you.” he played.
“You’re imPAWsible.” she giggled. He loved it when she used cat puns. He kissed her lips as his hand weaved through her hair. He pulled her into him as her hands wrapped around his waist, throwing one leg over him. She maneuvered her body till he was on his back with her straddling him. He shuddered as he felt her warmth on him. Her kiss, hungry for his.
His hands held her at her hips as her chest lay flatly on his, her hands now in his hair. Oh, if only he had his Cat suit on. It enhanced all of his senses and was the kind of protection he needed right now to give him the resolve to not go too far. He twitched his fingers into her sides tickling her in hopes of breaking this hold, knowing he didn’t have the will to stop it. She began to squirm on him. Her hips moving from side to side as they rubbed on his…. He gasped. Had he known she would move like that he would have thought twice about it.
“Adrien.” She stopped to look at his face. She must have seen the look on his face as she settled down putting all of her weight onto his hips. Suddenly she shot up on her knees lifting her weight from him. He gripped her hips so she wouldn’t go too far.
“Shh.” He brought one hand up to her face cupping it gently before bringing it to meet him. Their lips locked again as she settled herself back down to his hips. Her face had brightened to a red he had never seen before and it broke him, he didn’t think he had the will to stop. Suddenly there was a noise at the window. They both jumped from bed to see what it was. The light in the bedroom blocked out the view of the darkened city outside. Adrien ran to the switch, turning the light off. There was a figure standing on the rooftop across the street, someone was watching them. They ran to the window but the figure ran from the rooftop.
Marinette sat on the bed shivering. Adrien put his arm around her trying to comfort her.
“Someone was watching us.” She squeaked embarrassed at the compromising position they had been seen in. “Were they taking pictures?” That is certainly what the sound was, a camera click without a flash. Adrien often kept the window open but he closed it and set the lock. He noticed something attached to the window. A note. Attached to a suction dart clung to the window.
‘Enjoy what you have now
Before I take it all
YOU WILL BE MINE!
“What is it?” Marinette asked from the bed. He handed her the note. She dropped it the instant her eyes saw the words. A shriek left her mouth. “Do you think it was meant for you or me?” Adrien looked back at the window.
“If it was Vuplina.” He paused.
“Then it was meant for you.” Marinette finished. “Lila has always wanted you, and would do anything to get rid of her competition.”
“What do you say? We check out the room across the hall, the windows there are less visible to outsiders.” He took her hand and led her across the hall.
Marinette left the house before Adrien woke up. She had spent all morning searching the internet for someone. Alix wasn’t in France anymore, in fact she was participating in extreme sports in Florida. Marinette pulled out the horse miraculous and merged it with Tikki. She used a portal to plop herself into Alix’s bedroom. She was still asleep but at least she was alone. Pegabug woke her up. Alix sat up rubbing her eyes trying to make out the figure before her.
“Is it time?” Alix asked as she sat up.
“I think it is, Someone has the Butterfly Miraculous, and now Vulpina is back.” Alix was suddenly awake. She remembered how much chaos the illusionist caused especially during Heros day. “I think you will know when to use this.” She handed her the pocket watch then went over the instructions for how to use the Kwami’s power after introducing her to Fluff again.
“Should I come back to Paris?” Alix asked.
“I think you will be fine, better safe to keep your distance, just monitor everything from here.” Pegabug then made another portal. Good thing she had built up the strength to use her power more than once before needing to recharge. She returned to the manor and found Adrien standing in front of her.
“Did you give Alix the bunny?” He asked. Pegabug released her transformation and nodded. “Good, we need to call Luka.” He said picking up his phone.
“NO, we need to call EVERYONE.” Marinette said. “NO one but us can know about Alix. and only because you have known as long as I have that she would one day be Bunnyx.” Adrien called Luka while Marinette and Alya. They were calling a team meeting at the one place Lila didn’t know about. The Barge.
The band was playing by the time Adrien and Marinette arrived. They had to stop by the bakery to make sure the girls weren’t causing too much trouble. Luka, Juleka, Rose and Ivan jammed out a beat as Mylene, Zoe, Alya, Nino, Max, Kim, and Kagami, sat at the tables. The music died down as the band set their instruments aside.
“Shall we all go downstairs.” Luka walked everyone inside. The Living room area was large enough for the whole group with a large sectional style couch wrapping around the wall leaving a large enough area for the band to practice if they chose too. Everyone but Marinette and Adrien sat down.
“We have an announcement to make.” Adrien started, his arm around Marinette’s shoulders. “We are getting married.”
“Finally.” the whole group said together as they all began to mutter amongst themselves about how long it had taken for them to finally see the moon through the stars. Something that was so obvious, that everyone else seemed to know but they were always too blinded by the stars to see it. Adrien could feel the heat in his cheeks as a shy smile spread on his face. He was still kicking himself for being so oblivious of Marinette in high school. He knew she liked him, but thought it was only his model status and her desire to become a designer, nothing more. She never thought she was good enough for him.
“That isn’t the only news.” the crowd hushed as Marinette spoke up. “Mylene wasn’t the first of us to receive the Mullo, the mouse miraculous, I was.” Marinette confessed. Alya, Luka and Adrien were the only ones to know the truth of this group. So keeping Ladybugs secret was imperative.
“And I am Aspik, I held Sass before Luka did.” He said with a shy smirk. “I wasn’t very good at it, but I am close friends with Chat, we play video games together and…”
“Talk about how horrible the rich boy's life is together?” Luka jokes. “You rich boys were probably skiing in the Alps.”
“Wait, Cat Noir is rich?” Ivan asked.
“Richer than I am.” Adrien confessed scratching the back of his neck.
“Ladybug and Cat Noir found us this morning, they had followed a suspicious person to our window. Where they found this.” Marinette helped up the note.
“So it was Vulpina.” Alya said. The group began to mutter worried about the illusions that nearly ruined everything for everyone.
“Who is Vulpina anyway?” Kim asked.
“Lila.” Marinette said. “The master of Lies and illusions.” Shock fell on the faces of the group. They had all believed her lies and coddled her even against Marinette who they all agreed was the most honest of them all.
“We will all stand together again.” Luka stood up putting his fist into the center of the room. Zoe and Juleka joined him. Kim, who was always up for a competition, was next. Soon everyone stepped in as Adrien and Marinette refrained. “Get in here.” Luka smiled knowingly at them. They added their fists to the bump.

Miraculous Flash Forward Part 15: Twinning
A Miraculous Fan-Fic
Written By
AJ Dunn
Adrien shook the door knob to his bedroom. It was late and he was tired from the day’s activities. Kung Fu lessons, two which the girls were now a part of, plus tutoring them. It had been a long day and he wasn’t in the mood for this, again.
“Plagg.” with no answer. “Plagg, open this door will yeah, I swear I will go buy you some Camembert even if I have to fly to Paris tomorrow to get it.” Still no response.
“What’s wrong?” Marinette yawned out her bedroom door. Adrien shook the door knob again with a scowl. “Again?” She sighed. “No wonder Plagg decided to spend the night in the box.”
“Great, it’s one thing they locked me out last time, now they are teaming up with the Kwami’s.” Adrien sighed and turned for the stairs.
“Wait, what are you doing?” Marinette called, “It’s too late at night to get a key here.” She stepped back into her room holding her hand out to him. His heart skipped a beat at the invitation but hesitated. It was so exhausting and the couch wasn’t as inviting as her bed. He could hear giggling coming from their room as he stepped into Marinette’s room and closed the door behind him. It’s not the first time they had shared a bed, it was however the first time in her bed. Which somehow made it more alluring.
“Do you think this was their scheme all along?” He asked as he pulled the blankets over them. “Do teenage girls actually do stuff like this?” He couldn’t see very well in the dark of the room but as the moon cast it’s glow over her face he could see how red it was.
“You have no idea.” She giggled.
“Oh, so did you pull pranks on your parents too.” He asked filled with curiosity despite his weariness.
“Not… my parents but someone else… and it wasn’t like…” She began to stammer as she had as a teenager.
“What did you do?” he asked. “Other than sneak into the pool to see me in my speedo.” She buried her face in her pillow. He pulled her onto him as he rolled to his back. She covered her face with her hands as she sat up on his waist.
“There’s a lot of things.” she said. “Like the letter I was supposed to give you instead of the prescription. The various random run-ins around town during your photo shoot…” He laughed.
“I take it they weren’t by chance.” He pulled her hands away from her face, holding them to his chest. “You really had it that bad for me?” she nodded still flushed red. “You didn’t help the girls with this scheme, did you?”
“NO.” she said, more flushed than before.
“Because if you wanted me to sleep with you all you had to do was say something.’ He pulled her face down to his as he pressed his lips to hers. His heart raced inside his chest as her hands slid from his chest to his hair. Her kiss was more passionate and hungry than it had been before. He rolled her over until he was on top of her. He trailed his kisses to her cheek then to her neck. She squealed quietly as his lips parted gently biting her neck before he sucked on it gently. Her legs tightened around his waist as he let up and rolled off of her. She was frozen in that position until he rolled her on her side back facing him and pulled her closer to him.
“Think about that the next time you want to scheme about getting me into bed with you,” he teased.
“I didn’t…” she whimpered but didn’t argue anymore.
The girls were sitting on the stairs whispering to themselves when Adrien left Marinette’s bedroom. He crossed his arms as he gave them a ‘seriously?’ expression. They laughed at him. His face softened as he smiled at them then gave them a thumbs up before going into the bathroom.
“Keep laughing like that and you’ll wake Marinette then she’ll make you try on more outfits.” He said as he closed the door. The girls followed him downstairs.
“What are you going to do with the rings?” Stasia asked.
“Well that’s up to Marinette.” Adrien said as he scooped pancakes and eggs onto their plates. They were seated around the table in the dining room next to the kitchen.
“But she’s not even a Graham De Vanily.” Anna complained.
“Not yet.” Adrien looked up at them. “And Technically neither are you.”
“Well, I mean, now we are right?” Stasia spoke up.
“Only because I changed my name and the paperwork isn’t finished yet, Gabriel has to sign over his rights first.” Adrien scowled at the thought, wondering if his father would actually sign them over. He saw their faces go south. He could feel the tension in their air between them. He didn’t know the same father they did, they had described him as loving and caring he had adored them, but ignored him.
“Smells good.” Marinette said coming into the dining room. The sun shone brightly through the wall length windows. The patio outside of the dining room held many flower planters and several lounge chairs. Marinette and the girls would spend hours enjoying themselves reading books and just hanging out there. It was the only window not covered with the electric blinds, also the only place the Kwami’s didn’t go unless they were hidden.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have brought him up.” Adrien said as he sat down to Marinette’s right. “But Ladybug is our leader, and we all trust her to know the right thing to do.”
“What’s this?” Marinette asked.
“We were just asking about our family's rings.” Anna told her.
“Well, they will stay in your family of course,” Marinette started. “As soon as I know you won’t be using them to pull pranks and stuff.” she gave them a wink as they laughed at her.
“We have NO idea what youre talking about.” They said in sync.
“Plagg already told us everything.” Adrien scolded. “By the way, where did you guys find Camembert?” the girls laughed.
“Uncle Cheng ordered it for us.” they said together.
“Well, that doesn’t surprise me.” Marinette said with a chuckle. They worked on their breakfast and began to get ready for their day of kung fu and tutoring. The twins had been out of society for so long that, even though it only felt like days to them, it had been years and society moved on leaving them in the cold. There was a lot for them to catch up on.
Adrien was glad he had Marinette to handle the more feminine side of things as he was socially hindered to begin with, trying to understand teenage girls was a challenge he was not prepared to face. Not to mention, his older sisters who were now younger than him. A dynamic that was hard enough to explain let alone live with . The girls hadn’t mastered Mandarin so it wasn’t going to be possible to enrol them in school here in China.
Adrien arrived at the temple and found the first class of students were ready for their lessons. The girls took their places giggling to themselves as if Adrien had a kick me sign on his back. He had to check casually just in case. He walked around calling out stances and watching the youth change their stances moving in sync with one another. He monitored their movements making them hold their position until he was sure everyone was ready to move on.
Occasionally, he would have to form the stance himself to demonstrate but otherwise he simply walked around. After the initial exercises he moved on to demonstrate a few new techniques. Each new technique would be added to each day's drills. Until the movements were memorized by their muscles so they wouldn’t even have to think about them before performing them.
The first class was over and the kids ran off to school, while Adrien took the girls into the temple for their lessons in Mandarin and history. Before he could get started with their lessons his phone ran. It was from Paris, from the Paris branch of the G brand.
“This is Adrien.” he said, assuming it was Felix as he hadn’t heard from him since the battle with Tempest.
“Adrien, it’s Margaritte, I am Felix’s assistant and I was wondering…” She paused with a worried sound in her voice. “If you knew where he was?”
“Wait, so he’s not there?” Adrien said confused.
“We haven't seen him in awhile now. And I am afraid the board is afraid…”
“I’ll be there as soon as I can, try to hold the board until I get there.” Adrien said. He really didn’t want the company but he couldn’t let the board take over his company because his brother went MIA, he would rather give the company to Marinette. He hung up the phone and looked at the girls, how had that idea never occurred to him? She wanted a job based solely off her skills not because she was dating the owner of the company.
“Girls, we’ll put your studies on hold for a little while, go outside and spar.” The girls ran outside pushing each other playfully. Adrien dialed up a Shanghai number, one he only used in an emergency.
“Fei. I need your help.” Fei had become like family to Marinette after the first time she visited Shanghai and got lost. She had no family so Wang Cheng took her in, though her passion and her primary job was protecting Shanghai with her own Miraculous powers. “I have to leave town and I need someone to stand in for me with my students,” he told her.
“I would be honored Xiongdi. ”She said “I will be over in a few hours.”
“See you then.” He hung up the phone then watched the girls spar. His mind was far too preoccupied with the now confirmed disappearance of his brother to even think about tutoring his sisters. His phone rang again.
“Mr. Agreste would like to meet with you to discuss the petition of guardianship.” the voice spoke before Adrien could respond. It was Gabriel’s lawyer. “He also demands visitation with his daughters.”
“Funny, he never asked for a visit with me.” Adrien said coldly. “I don’t think that is going to happen.”
“Considering he still maintains his parental rights, you don’t have a choice but to comply.” the lawyer said
“You can discuss that with my lawyers, from now on, you contact them not me.” Adrien said then hung up. ‘FUCK’ he mutted to himself.
“I’m not sure what’s going on but it sounds like you could use some cheese.” Plagg offered him a chunk of Manchego. Adrien waved him away placing his hands on his hips. He looked back out the window to find the girls were gone. He rushed out to search for them. He searched all over the grounds with no sign of them.
He heard giggling coming from a room in the basement of the temple. He headed for the stairs then heard another giggle coming from outside.
“Plagg, head downstairs, I’m going outside.” Adrien said.
“It’s not like I can throw her over my shoulder.” Plagg said. Adrien scowled then through his hands into the air slapping them hard against his sides in exasperation.
“What’s wrong?” A voice came from the doorway. It was Fei.
“Great you're here, help me find my sisters please?” Fei laughed at him.
“Their playing hide & seek.” She leaned against the door frame folding her arms over her chest. “I already found one and froze her to stone.” She laughed. Adrien’s mouth twisted into shock as he rushed past her. How could she use her powers on his little sister. He saw her in the front courtyard standing still. He sighed when he realized she wasn’t frozen just standing in a running away pose.
“It’s part of the game.” eie laughed at him. “Shall I go find the other one?” Adrien nodded. He was in over his head with these two. Stasia tried to hold her pose, but gravity gave in and she collapsed to the ground laughing. Adrien smiled as he allowed his body to relax, crossing his ankles and dropping into a seated position on the deck. A few minutes later Fei retired with Anna over her shoulders pretending to be petrified.
“I have to go back to Paris, and I think it will be more of a permanent situation.” Adrien said as Fei sat down next to him.
“Does this have anything to do with them?” She whispered nodding towards the two girls who were now sparring. Their actions moved in sync as they faced each other. Their movements timed just right as they dodge and kicked, punch and swerved into a martial arts dance.
“Partially.” He said. “I have to talk to Marinette, I have uprooted her once already to bring her here.”
“I’m sure she would be happy to return home.” Fei said.
“I called her, she’ll be here for lunch.” He looked at his watch. “Any minute now.” He felt anxiety rise up in him as he recalled how she had always been late as a teenager and she must be really busy, but he needed her right now. Adrien got up and walked over to the girls. He needed a distraction.
“Now for your punishment of locking me out of my room.” He said taking a defensive stance. They knew exactly what to do. They both jumped on him tackling him to the ground then began to tickle him as he tried to fight them off. He could hear Fei laughing at him.
“Well, I think I should be recording this.” Marinette said from the gate as she walked in carrying a bag with the Thousand Delights logo on it.
“Adrien pulled himself up with the girls still attached to him as he ran to her pulling her into a hug. The girls hung off his back like monkeys trying in vain to defeat him.
“I think we should have those growths on your back checked, we may need to have them surgically removed.” Fei teased coming up behind them to tickle the girls into letting go of Adrien. Marinette frowned as she watched Fei. Was it jealousy?
“Fei, what are you doing here?” Marinette said with an obviously forced smile.
“Adrien was just telling me he needed my help with the girls.” Fei decided not to tell her the whole reason he had called her over. This seemed to make Marinette’s face tighten more as her face blossomed into hues of red.
“We need to talk to Marinette.” Fei can you watch the girls for a minute while I take her inside to tell her. Marinette stiffened. She looked up at Adrien, his clenched jaw now a look of horror as she allowed him to lead her inside. He took a seat at the table he used for the tutoring sessions and motioned for her to sit too. She just set the bag on the table and crossed her arms. Adrien looked down at his hands folded together in his lap.
“Marinette, we have to…”
“Don’t…” Marinette interrupted. He looked up at her, tears began to stream down her face.
“What.” he got up moving around the table to grasp her arms. He turned her to face him but she looked away. He lifted her face to meet his eyes. “I was just going to say, we have to go back to Paris.” Her face changed to a look of surprise as she reached up, wiping her tears from her eyes. “Why are you crying?” He was dumbfounded. What did she think he needed to talk to her about. Her eyes darted to the window looking out over the front courtyard as Fei sparred with the girls.
Adrien pulled her into a hug, suddenly realizing how this might look to Marinette, she had been so sensitive about their relationship for so long of course she expected him to leave her for someone else. He sat her down and explained the phone calls he got and what he was thinking would now require them to move back to Paris.
“Marinette, you were the first girl I ever loved, and the second all rolled into one.” He kissed her lips. I loved you for the amazing woman you are, you're a superheroine with or without a mask, and I couldn’t replace you with anyone else.” He said.
“She is too, and she has more powers.” Marinette choked back more tears. He watched her eyes look out the window again.
“She also stole from a girl I love, left her stranded in a foreign country where she didn’t speak the language, and played her for a fool.” Adrien said. “I could never abide in someone who could lie and be deceitful for the sake of her own gain.”
“I’ve lied.” She whimpered.
“Not to hurt someone.” He said. She sighed.
“I guess the only way to save you from this fear of losing me is to just simply do it.” He said sliding out of his seat to his knee.
“Marinette Dupain-Cheng, will you Marry me?”

Miraculous Flash Forward Part 14: Tempest
A Miraculous Fan-Fic
Written By
AJ Dunn
Water began to pour into the sky like heavy rain falling upwards. This caused storm clouds to cover the sun casting ominous shadows over the whole of Paris. Wind began to whip through the team as they stood on the edge of the hotel searching for signs of the villains. Still unsure of what their powers consisted of, Ladybug was sure the source of which was the Graham De Vanily ring the mermaids wore on opposite hands. In the video they had pressed their webbed and scaly palms together before invoking the water to rise.
“We have to focus on getting those rings from them.” Purple Emperor said standing back from the team. A beep came over Ladybug’s yo-yo as she opened it she found another video coming from the aquarium. The news station was still functioning enough to broadcast the transmission.
“We are Tempest and we demand Paris hands over their saviors for punishment.” The echoing tone came from both of them speaking in unison. “We will use their miraculous’ to fix our mistakes and the world can go on as if nothing ever happened.”
“What are they talking about? what mistakes?” Viperion asked.
“Anastasia and Annalyse.” Cat and Emperor said together.
“Wow, you two really are twins.” Pigella offered.
“Pegasus, teleport us here.” Cat held up his tracker map indicating the location of the ice trapped girls. Pegasus drew on his power and tossed a ring into the water.
“Pegasus, go recharge your power, Emperor, we are going to need back up, find someone to akumatized give them the power to fight back.” Ladybug asking for someone to be akumatized sent a chill through the entire team's body as they remembered the terror wrought by Hawk Moth.
“What kind of power do you think we’ll need that we don’t already have?” Emperor asked. Ladybug thought for a second. She shook her head.
“We’ll figure it out. Stay put.” Ladybug, Cat Noir, Viperion, Purple Tigress, and the rest of the team jumped through the portal into the waters of the English Channel. The water level was very low as they swam up to the iced twins.
“Minotaurax, can you move it?” “Ladybug asked, looking around for a place to take it. He called on his power causing his body to enlarge then swam to the iceberg and began heaving. The rest of the team encircled it, lifting it with all of their strength. The ice lifted as the team swam upwards.  They moved onto the shelf of the sea floor making their way towards the beach. Ladybug pulled out her bug phone to contact pegasus.
“We need a portal to return to the rooftop. And stand clear.” She said as he answered. Suddenly a large blue circle appeared in the water and they swam through taking the ice with them.
“Is this going to work Ladybug?” Cat asked worried about his sisters. “Bringing them this might set them off even more.”
“Recovering your lost siblings, with a chance of saving them.” Ladybug offered. They landed on the rooftop, setting the block of ice down. “Now, we just have to figure out how to call them over here.” Ladybug said.
“Let’s slip up and search for them.” King Monkey offered.
“Right, but don’t engage them, lead them back here.” Ladybug stopped and looked around the rooftop. “Pegasus, where is the Emperor?”
“I didn't know he was gone when I got back up here.” Pegasus shrugged.
“LADYBUG!” a voice came from another rooftop. Ladybug swung her yo-yo encircling the woman with it and hoiting her back to the hotel roof.
“Kagami.” Cat said in surprise. “Are you ready to join us?” He smiled happy to see his old friend.
“Ladybug?” she held out her hand as Ladybug pulled out the Dragon miraculous.
“Welcome back Ryuko.” She said as Kagami called on Long to transform her. “We’re going to need to do something about this ice.” Ryuko nodded and called on the fire dragon to heat it up as it began to shrink. “The rest of us split up, don’t engage them, but try to separate them. I have a feeling their powers only work when they are together.” Ladybug dove into the water followed by the rest. Pegasus hung back in case his teleport was needed. But also to look for Purple Emperor. He searched through the hotel.
Cat swam straight to the aquarium knowing it was one of his mothers favorite places to be. He was sure that Tempest was his mothers. It was odd to think of both of them being his mother, but it was true. He was right, he saw them swimming in the aquarium among the various ocean creatures. Their bodies blend into the kelp and anemones.
“I hear you are looking for me.” He called out. “Well I have a surprise for you.” they turned on him and began swimming fast. He darted off back towards the hotel. They caught up to him faster than he could maneuver. Grasping his feet they began encircling him like eels entrapping their meal. They each grabbed an arm pulling him apart as he kicked about in the water. He couldn’t break free of their grasp so he fought them enough that they wouldn't be able to gain the edge on him and take his ring.
He rolled his body forcing the mermaids to spin around with him crashing into each other. Rotating his arms through the water he managed to break their grip on him as he shot through the water again knowing he wasn’t fast enough to get away from them. He had to keep up this slow battle. He had to think of another way to throw them off guard.
“You know I am friends with Adrien.” He said spinning his body again to slip through their grip. “He told me everything.”
“What are you talking about, you foolish feline?” the voices spoke in unison.
“About how you left your daughters to die on that yacht.” Cat wanted to enrage them, so that their emotions would betray them. “How you let them die. How they drowned in fear.”
“You lie!” the voices shrieked. “We saved them.”
“Oh, did you now?” he swam in circles slipping through their hands again and again. “Where are they then?”
“They rest.”
“That’s not an answer.” Cat toyed with them before shooting faster through the water. “Are they dead or not?”
“Preserved.” the voices shrieked behind him as they once again closed in.
“Oh, see, that's funny because I found them,” he chanted.
“What!” their anger began to betray them as they began making mistakes. Cat grasped one of each of their hands as they tried to grab him, he somersaulted in the water twisting their hands sending them spinning out of control. He swam after them, grabbing their hair behind their heads and throwing them back through the water towards the hotel.
“How do you plan to resurrect them?” Cat asked.
“By wishing it undone.” they voiced.
“Nah, that’s not going to work, because then you two will die in their stead.” He wasn’t sure that was how it worked but it sounded to at the time.
“You know nothing.” they shrieked again.
“Really now, and who holds one half of your vengeance?” he smirked. “It would be Cat a strophic for you both.” He laughed to himself. “You two are Paw itivily insane.”
“Enough.” the swam after him again.
“Look at me I’m a CAT fish.'' He made a fish face at them then swam up to the surface as fast as he could leaping into the air then diving back in, landing right behind them. “Wow, that was CLAW some.” he teased more. He could sense their aggregation as they focused all of their anger on him. Suddenly a yo-yo string encircled the arm of one closest to grabbing him. A stringed melody began to play behind them as they averted their gaze to look upon viperion. They seemed almost transfixed by it.
Minotaurax capture them both in a tight hug trapping their arms to their sides. Ladybug whipped her yoyo string around the three as the group swam up a portal appearing just in front of them. They all landed on the rooftop with Ryuko who was nearly finished thawing the chunk of ice.
“NO!” Tempest shrieked. “You’re going to kill them.”
“You did that 25 years ago!’ Cat hisses.
“We saved them.” the mermaids sulked together. They reached their hands up to each other but Ladybug and Cat stepped on their wrists then removed the two rings from their scaly hands. Their bodies began to dry out as their scales were replaced with white gowns. Their hair returned from the bluish hue back to a pale blond. Emelie and Amelie held each other as they sobbed. “You fools. We were only trying to protect our family.”
“What are you talking about?” Cat asked
“They were going to expose us for what we were.” Amalie announced.
“Shut up Amalie.” Emelie hissed. “You insultant beings, you think you get to decide who get to hold powers, look at you all smug.”
“We’re not trying to hurt others, we’re here to save them from people like you.” Ladybug said standing over her.
“Why are they in ICE.” Cat demanded his heart throttling in his chest with anger.
“We only wanted to scare them, but we lost control of the storm and instead of letting them drown, we…” Amalie tried to be forthcoming. Emelie grabbed her face trying to hold her mouth shut. Minotaurax and Pegasus grabbed them, separating them.
“Talk.” Cat said, pointing a finger at Emelie. She tried to bite him and kick him but was too far away.
“If I melt this anymore, we are either going to find two dead girls or…” Ryuko said. “Did this keep them alive?”
“We don’t know, but we didn’t want to risk it.” Amalie sulked to the ground.
“You seduced my husband and carried his children, knowing that I lost mine.” Emelie sulked. “You tried to take my family.”
“I tried to give you back a family.” Amalie responded with tears. “When my husband found out what I had done, he swore he would never touch me again, and so…’ she cried. “I couldn’t give them both to you,”
“Speaking of which, where is…” Cat looked around. To no luck, the Purple Emperor was gone. Pegasus pulled up a portal to the jail as the water was receding. They dropped Amalie and Emilie into separate cells.
“They won’t work for you.” Emelie called after them. “They only work for twins.” the portal closed leaving them screaming.
“Guys you need to see this.” Ryuko called everyone’s attention to the now partially exposed girls. Their hair hung forward as the ice continued to melt away. “I’m losing steam here.”
“Release your transformation.” Ladybug said, calling on her lucky charm. A large spotlight dropped into her arms as she almost fell backward. Cat caught her then they set about setting it up. Kagami gave Long a snack as they took a break. The spotlight cast heat over the twins as the ice continued to melt.
After a few minutes Kagami called on Long again and resumed the fire on the ice. It wasn’t too much longer after that the ice melted enough to expose the girls from the waist up. Pigella and Polymouse caught them holding their icy bodies. They began to cry as the ice melted from their legs and feet, the girls were now free. Laying the twins bodies across their laps, Pigella and Polymouse sobbed. Followed by the rest of the team as Cat stood back. His heart stalled in his chest. Ladybug looked up at him. Her heart felt the pain in his.
LAdybug jumped up from where she kneeled by the twins, rushing to hold Cat before she tripped over the spotlight. She stood up looking from it to the twins.
“Minataurax, give me a hand.” he helped her toss the spotlight into the air as she called out “Miraculous Ladybug.” the air lit up with ladybugs flying through the sky encircling everything that Tempest had damaged, repairing all of the damage they caused. The water now gone, buildings restored, the ladybugs then encircled the twins filling the air around the team with ladybugs as their wings beat softly against their cheeks then were gone as suddenly as they came leaving the group in awe frozen for a moment.
Suddenly the twins began to cough and choke. Cat’s mouth dropped open as the group separated so he could see them sitting up and looking around.
“Who… Who are you people.” Cat dropped on his knees in front of them. Tears began to pour from his eyes as he took them both into his arms holding them tight to his chest.
“I’ll tell you everything but just let me hold you first.” He whispered into their ears.
“We don’t have time, we have…”
“All you have to do is let me take care of you.” Ladybug stepped up behind him as she rang her fingers through his hair. With all the bad that has happened in the past, he needed something positive, he never knew that the Ladybugs could fix a mistake this old, or that his older sisters would be just mere children. They would need him and He would be there for them.
“We should get them into some dry clothes.” Ladybug said, breaking him from his hold on them.
“You’re right. He stood up taking their hands. They tried to stand but their legs were too weak. He reached down, scooping them both up in his arms holding them to his sides as he walked towards the door. Sirens and news media began to fill the streets below the hotel.
“We can’t just walk out of here.” Ladybug said to him. “How will we explain this to them?”
“The truth.” Cat said. He released his transformation as the girls rested their heads on his shoulders. They looked up at him in shock. Though they never knew him, they could recognize his eyes.
“Do we know you?” one asked.
“Not, yet, but you will, and I know you.” Adrien said. “I will explain everything once I get you two home.” After returning all of the miraculous’ to Ladybug, the group followed Adrien to the front entrance. Paramedics took the girls to check them over as Adrien stood in front of the camera’s.
“Why is your mother and her sister in a prison cell?”
“The superhero Pegasus put them where they belong.” Adrien said. “They caused a storm resulting in the disappearance of my elder twin sisters Anastasia and Annalyse. Entombing them in ice for 25 years. Thanks to Ladybug’s team of heroes and her miraculous ladybugs for restoring them to me, and capturing yet another set of villain Paris is safe yet again.”
“Is this the same Tempest that caused dozens of boating accidents 25 years ago, stealing millions of dollars worth of jewels, antiques and other fortunes?”
“I do not know the answer to that, I wasn’t even alive 25 years ago.” Adrien said. Marinette stood with the twins at the paramedics.
“I have one more thing to say then I need to escort my sisters to the hospital.” Adrien said smiling at Marinette. “If anyone knows where my brother Felix Graham De Vanily is, please let me know.” He marched away from the crowd stepping into one of the two ambulances containing one of the girls.
“It was them.” the girl said as the Ambulance began to pull away. “We tried to stop them, to take the rings away. “Aunt Amalie wasn’t happy that Mom wanted to use them as wedding rings, so she would pretend to be Mom and sneak into dad's room and take his ring when he was in bed or in the shower.
