once again reaching out for help.

more store and commissions are open.

i need a new laptop, phone with a plan, im starting school again(hopefully), and im still struggling to pay for medication and medical visits. insurance only covers so much.

i work a part time job, i want to be able to do /something/ to finally start transitioning or at the very least save up enough on the side to eventually get myself out of here where its safer to do that.

i do digital art, i make bracelets, i write research books as ive talked about on clusterrune and more.

recently had to cancel a wisdom teeth removal apointment because we couldnt pay the 2k for it. even with renewed insurance.

parents are even starting to charge me for rent and taking off what they already owe me from what ive sent them to help pay for stuff.

"anything?" Bow glanced over entrapta's shoulder at the scanner to see if she had picked up anything within range. Another ship, a planet, something.

"No" the purple haired princess grumbled, frown almost turning to a pout as she looked up at the large window and out at the starry nothingness in front of them outside the ship.

"We've been out here going for three days." Bow whined, sounding bored out of his mind. "There has to be something"

"We have enough fuel to last us a good while, we're not in any rush to find a place to land" Hordak pointed out.

"Bow just gets antsy, besides I'm sure we'll find something soon. In the meantime let's um...think of a game to pass the time? Something to keep us occupied for a while." Glimmer offered, placing a hand on the archers shoulder with a soft smile.

"Ohh games are fun! What kinda game?" Entrapta asked, glancing over with an enthusiastic grin. Ever the energetic one.

"As long as it isn't eye-spy, there's not much to spy on the first place" adora grumbled from her seat in the chair, shoulders slumped as she leaned back. She looked just about as bored as bow.

"Okay, cross that off the idea list" glimmer sighed, very likely about to suggest just that.

"Oh! We could spar!" Adora sat up with a brighter expression.

"No, no fighting on the ship, we established that the last time after the incident" Hordak protests, glimmer nodding her head in agreement.

"We could...play a couple rounds of tap-out?" Bow suggested with a shrug.

"What's tap-out?" Adora asked, tilting her head to the side in curiousity.

"It's like truth or dare, except you keep 'raising the stakes' until someone taps out, the last person to tap out wins" glimmer explained. "We haven't played it since we were kids"

"Oh, we used to have something like that in the horde, except there wasn't any questions just stupid risky dares" adora shrugged.

"Why am I not surprised?" Glimmer chuckled.

"What do we get if we win?" Entrapta asked

"Um...we didn't really do prizes, but maybe if you win you can ask for something?" Glimmer offered.

"Good enough! I'm in!" Entrapta smiled.

"Okay...catra...? What do you think? ....do you want to play too?" Glimmer gave an awkward look towards the other, asking in a bit of a lower tone.

Catra felt her hair raise as she leaned against the wall, her silent presence among the conversation finally acknowledged. The pit in her stomach returned.

"N...no I'm good, sparkles, You guys mess around all you want" she responded, eyes avoiding glimmers.

There's another awkward pause. Catra could feel the stares again but she didn't want to think about it. Glimmers presumably either accusatory or pitiful and guilt-ridden look, adoras worried glance...instead of meeting anyone's gaze, she pushed herself off the wall and knelt down to pet melog.

"Okay I can't take this" bow spoke up. "We all see it, this isn't good, this needs to get worked out"

"Bow, it's okay" glimmer put her hands up as if to try and defuse things.

"No, glimmer, it's not. It's been like this since last night, you and catra-" bow was quickly cut off by catra's protest

"She said it's fine, and it is." She insisted, narrowed eyes directed at him. She didn't want to lash out in anger but her defensive nature was starting to get the best of her again.

"No. You two are working this out. I'm not letting tension linger, this is the best friend squad and we talk things out" he insisted further.

"There's nothing to talk about!" Glimmer shot back, getting defensive.

"You snapped at each other in the middle of the night! That's not nothing! There's clearly something to talk about!" Bow stressed before taking a breath and placing his hands on glimmers shoulders to get her to relax as well.

"Please. Things aren't going to get better if you guys don't work through whatevers going on. We're supposed to be friends not acting like one another's a bomb that could be set off at any moment" he glanced from glimmer over to catra as he spoke.

Catra failed to find anything to respond with, instead looking over at adora as if asking her girlfriend to back her up.

"Bow's kinda got a point...it's been like this almost the whole trip, and we're not sure how long we'll be just floating in space so maybe it's not a bad idea to get it out of the way..?" Adora tried to reason.

Catra groaned in response.

"If catra doesn't want to talk about it, then we're fine. There's nothing to talk about. Right catra?" Glimmer huffed, looking over at the other.

"Guys" Entrapta spoke up with a slight rise in her tone.

"Yeah. Just peachy." Catra practically seethed. "Nothing to talk about, so let's just drop it, 'kay?"

"Guys?!" Entrapta tried again, attention on the scanner.

"You can't keep trying to dodge this, you're going to have to talk about it sooner or later" bow stated with his hands on his hips.

"Guys!!" Entrapta shouted.

"Will you all shut up and listen!?" Hordak yelled on entrapta's behalf, finally earning everyone's attention with a loud "WHAT?!" in unison.

"WE GOT SOMETHING!!" Entrapta squealed excitedly, pointing to some new coordinates on the monitors of the ships controls.

They all looked through the wide window in front. At some distance sure enough, they were approaching something.

"What is that?" Adora squinted.

Finally, catra relaxed, a change of topic and a chance to get off the ship.

"Well it's hard to tell right now...buuuut it could be either a small planet or a ship. Like a big ship." Entrapta added some emphasis to a few of her words when she spoke, trying to estimate the size of whatever they'd just found out in space.

A distraction from all the tension and arguments. Another reason to avoid breaking the silence between her and glimmer.

some douxie angst after wizards, spoilers for those new to trollhunters.

Staring at the stone at the end of his staff, hiserdoux replayed his memories on loop. His eyes glanced from the bracelet of spells he'd previously relied on to the staff he had earned now tightly clutched in his hand.

It had been about a month now, since he watched his teacher, Merlin, along with Morgana and king Arthur finally walk into the light on the other side. A month since he'd lost the one man he looked up to for so long almost like a father figure he never had.

Merlin was gone, the mantle had past down to him with his new staff. Hiserdoux was now the master wizard...but it didn't feel right. It felt empty.

He never imagined finally receiving his staff this way, never thought Merlin would die when he finally succeeded him. He thought it would be one grand final test, inventing a new spell or something incredible to finally earn the staff he kept getting denied.

But here he was now, hiding out in new York with a spirit of earth and his familiar, having had his staff for only a month and feeling doubts about having truly earned it.

Merlin...wasnt wrong, he finally was ready, he had improved so much since the start and was really a master of magic now, a true wizard, but it still didn't feel right to have his staff sometimes.

Merlin never should have had to die, to pass on the mantle to him, in order for him to get this. Not like this.

But the past is the past...and he's been down that road of changing it before, he doesn't want to mess with time again.

"Douxie?" A voice snapped him out of his thoughts and he jumped a bit when he felt a paw on his leg. "Hiserdoux, are you alright?" Archie asked, settling down beside him on the apartment couch.

"Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm...fine" he sighed "no Archie I'm not. This doesn't feel right" he let go of the staff which disappeared in a light puff of blue smoke and leaned forward with his elbows on his knees.

"Well I don't exactly like being in this big city either...but I get the feeling you mean something else" Archie tilted his head as if to encourage douxie to speak more.

"It's Merlin's absence. I've waited hundreds of years to finally get my staff, now I have it, but the greatest wizard of all time is...gone...it doesn't feel real, arch."

"It's only been a month, hiserdoux, it takes time for these things to set it..." Archie nuzzled his way into douxies lap and curled up with a soothing purr.

"Thanks, arch" he gave the cat-dragon a few scratches behind the ear and leaned back against the couch again.

Merlin was gone, he has a staff, he was the master wizard now. But what came next? What now?

Magical Rivalry

a Hannah and Barbara x Reader poly fic! requested by anon!

Another day at school, another run in with Diana Cavendish's attitude. You'd just been walking out to the court yard on your break between classes when you noticed the academy's star student Diana bickering once again with Atsuko about how a spell should be properly preformed.

The argument seemed to end and diana left just as you walked over but her two friends, Hannah and Barbara stayed put and started further pestering akko.

"I can't believe you have yourself bunny ears again" Barbara snickered.

"It's one of the most simplest of spells and she still can't get it right" Hannah hid a light laugh behind the palm of her hand. "You should really take Diana's advice you know"

"Yeah, you could learn a thing or two from such an exceptional witch like her, maybe if you were her student you'd actually be a fraction as good of a witch as she is" Barbara added on, her own smug look matching her friends.

The both of them were making akko visibly angry, any more and she would blow her too and snap at them, which meant it was time for intervention.

"Wow, is Diana really all you two talk about? I mean" you chuckled to yourself. "I know you're like her lackeys or something but, come on. Time to obsess over some else already, this old shtick of yours is getting boring"

The girls looked over at you with a mix of offence and suprise on their faces.

"We - we are not her lackeys!" Hannah protested with a huff after recovering from her shock.

"Yeah, we've been best friends for like, ages now!" Barbara agreed.

"Well your 'best friend' just went to her next class without you" you pointed out.

The girls looked in the direction that Diana had gone, to each other then shit you glares before running off.

"Thanks" akko give you a smile "that was pretty funny, they're so annoying"

"No problem." You smiled back.

Over then next while, each encounter with Hannah and Barbara was just as frustrating. You'd shoot glares in the hallways, share insulting remarks between your lunch tables, try to put do each other in classes. It really felt like the rivalry between you two could only be a bitter taste in the mouth.

The next time you saw them was in an empty studio class. Probably having borrowed it as a space to practice their magic for the time being. You were walking past when you noticed them through the open door.

"Like this" Barbara flicked her wrist with her wand in hand, demonstrating a spell Hannah had previously been stuck on in class. One you actually one-upped her on yourself.

"Right so I raise my arm like this-" you watched as Hannah showed a lot of improvement thanks to Barbara's tips.

"Wow, you're a good teacher Barbara, keep this up and maybe Hannah will get a passing grade" you spoke up, leaning in the doorway. That wasn't how you meant for it to come out, that was supposed to be teasing but..

Barbara responded with a proud smile while Hannah only got embarrassed and shooed you out of the room, stammering as she shut the door on you.

Their reactions, to your surprise, made you smile and maybe even giggle a bit.

The next class you had together was a potion class, and the assignment wasn't easy. You did your best to follow the instructions exactly but your hand was unsteady and you put in two drops of witch's flower extract instead of one...the whole thing boiled too quickly and suddenly instead of a huge puff of smoke you got a huge puff of glitter.

"Wow y/n, way to change up your look, I think that's an improvement" Hannah giggled from behind you as you tried shaking some of the glitter out of your hair.

"Wow, sparkles suit you" Barbara giggled as well.

To anyone else it sounded like the usual back and forth banter, but you couldn't help trying to hide a shy smile. "Yeah, well, I guess I'm just naturally fashionable" you joked, making the three of you laugh a bit more until the teacher cut it short and told you to start over.

Things went on like this, insults turned to compliments, nagging turned to advice, bickering turned to smiles and teasing. You even helped each other out a few times where you would have just launched or mocked one another's mistakes.

You found yourself walking down that familiar hall again, slowing your steps to a stop outside a studio class room when you heard two familiar voices.

"Ugh, how did they do it? They're so good at pronouncing the spells incantations, and I'm still stuck on the second word" Barbara sighed.

"Not to mention did you see what they made in that last class? That was so creative, I can't believe I never thought of it." Hannah pouted.

You rose an eyebrow and stayed just out of site by the doorway. Curiousity got the best of you and you started eavesdropping again. Something about Hannah's pout and Barbara's focused expression made you smile.

"...hannah-" "Barbara-" "no you go first" they gave each other wide eyes.

"On the count of three we both say what's on our mind, ready?"

"One"

"Two"

"Three! I think I like y/n!" They blurted the last part in unison.

The sudden confession brought a wave of heat to your face and you quickly got out of there before they could realize you were listening.

Your heart was pounding as you made your way to your dorm room and practically threw yourself onto your bed. You shoved your face into your pillow and giggled to yourself until your heart stopped fluttering. You're lucky your roommates weren't there to see you so mysteriously giddy all of a sudden.

Wait, why were you so giddy? You just found out your classroom-enemies, er - your rivals, both just admitted to crushing on you. Why did that make you want to kick your feet like a little school girl fawning over her crush?

Could it be because you are one? Doing just that? Did you have feelings for Hannah and Barbara?! Your friends were not going to let you live this down...

Personality: I'm some sort of Xiao. Quite of a distant individual and not used with people's trends like doing tiktoks or wearing lipsticks. But I sometimes try some. Then that leads me to doing cosplays. Aside from that, I am concious around me especially talking to others. I really don't know how to get along with others much so I tend to share less and gets serious with people who wants me to do something. With my friends, i'm different and shares most part of myself and tends to get stick with them when I saw them. But despite of that, i'm a bit closed off and would distance myself sometimes. Overthinking a lot that I might did something bad to others even it's not or an accident. I do something physical with im with someone who's very comfortable with like hugging or clinging my arm around them then retreating because i'm not used to them. I avoid most of it when someone tries to cling on me or some sort but let someone hug me sometimes. I am sort of blunt with my actions and words. And I tend to get stutter.

Additional Information: Sleeping is my personality and I tend to sleep here and there. ┐⁠(⁠´⁠ー⁠｀⁠)⁠┌

Likes & Dislikes: As I mentioned, I really love to cosplay but i'm broke. Then because of my hyper fixation of the hobby, I love money. ✋ Then I like to wear light make ups. I like to sketch, sing and showing off sometimes in front of others (shying away as a result). I don't like someone who doesn't know what their doing like invading someone's personal space or making fun of me, thinking we're friends.
