I think the last time we got a flashback episode in Supernatural, I think it was in season 10 I think, right?
“Bad Boys” right?
If not, did I miss it and where is it?

Alex: Just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I don’t know how to please a woman… you buy them a dress with pockets.

I was going to write how I'm not like this, but I think I am.
Also, this post reminded me that Supernatural is on tonight, I forgot. 😞
Ah nothing like my Thursday night panic attack over how little episodes of SPN are left

Can I just say, if someone says they have a phobia, don't fuck around with them. Like, don't use it against them because then you're an asshole.
I have Nyctophobia, fear of the dark, and if someone were to forcefully put me in darkness for laughs, I would actually cry and hit them.
ITS A FUCKING PHOBIA FOR A REASON!!!
I was born with this fear, I can't control it, so don't use it against me because you think it's funny. I might have an anxiety attack if you were to do that to me for a long period of time.
Not directed at anyone, it just pisses me off when people do those kinds of things.

I have iron-deficiency anemia and almost all my periods before taking iron supplements caused me to be tired almost the entire time, my vision went white almost every time I sat up in bed and when I did stand up, it literally felt like Niagra Falls in my pants.
This shit should be talked about more. I learned more about my period through YouTube than I did in school and sadly my mother. Periods are fucking natural and happens or has happened to any person with a uterus. If it makes you uncomfortable, that's your problem, not ours. We deal with it, not you. And finally, we never asked for Niagra Falls in our pants every month for decades in our lives.
Sorry, I just don't want other people to go through what I and others have went through. I also only found out I have anemia almost a year ago, and it was 5 years into having my period.

I know. He doesn't seem as menacing anymore in Season 5 with a middle name like Karl.
i hope whoever asked jeff davis what theo raeken's middle name is on twitter knows how much damage they've caused. i could've gone my entire LIFE without knowing that theo raeken's middle name is karl but guess what? i do know that and it haunts me

I knew her speech would become 'Now or Never’ just from the first line.
I can imagine what the future will be like because of this chapter and certain events (😢😭) that will transpire.
Never Again
Prologue: Now or Never
Luke Patterson x Reader
Summary: The night that they were supposed to play the Orpheum, three members of the band died. Y/n was left devastated, she had lost the love of her life. She didn’t think she would ever see him again, until the night she died.
A/N: Okay so this is the first fic I’ve ever written, feedback is very much appreciated! I’ve decided that I am going to make this into a series, so yay! This is the prologue (obviously) so this chapter takes place before the entire show even begins. I’m not really sure what else to say so I hope you guys end up loving this as much as I do. Happy reading!
Word Count: 2k
Tumblr media
“God, this is never going to work! What are we gonna do?”
“Luke it’s okay, we just need to find another way to get into the Orpheum,” I said as he began to pace around the studio. Luke was really freaking out. It was kind of starting to make the rest of us nervous. Normally, Alex is the one always freaking out. He’s like the king of freaking out. Right now though I’m thinking that Luke could be considered an heir to the throne.
“Y/n, that’s just it! We’ve tried everything!” We’ve been trying really hard to get to play at the Orpheum, as you can tell, but I mean so far we’ve only failed three times.
“Third time’s a charm, right?” Reggie asked, as a large goofy smile made its way onto his face.
“Dude, that was our third time,” Alex stated. Luke groaned, squeezing his eyes shut and leaning his head back. I turned to look at Reggie as he asked with wide eyes “wait, really?”
Bobby and Alex looked at each other, then Bobby turned back to Reggie. “Yeah man, remember first we just sent them our demo. The second time we had that meeting with them, and practically begged them to let us play. And the third time we-” “The third time we waited outside for hours, we waited for the manager, and he didn’t even turn to look at us!” Luke yelled as he cut Bobby off. Luke was pissed, we all were, but you get to be pissed when you’re waiting outside at night with all your instruments. When you’re ready to play for the person who decides who gets to play the Orpheum, and they end up just walking right past you.
“And to think that we were so close. We’re never gonna get to play the Orpheum. Maybe my parents were right,” Luke muttered the last part, but we all heard him. The guys turned to look at me, they never knew how to deal with these kinds of things. When someone, especially a girl, would seem sad or in a non-happy mood they never knew what to say, or how to act.
I shake my head, moving off of the couch the four of us were sitting on. “Luke. Look at me,” I say as I stop in front of him, trying to meet his eyes. Luke turns his body to face me, but looks down at the floor rather than me. “Luke.” I say in a more sternful tone. He looks up, and meets my eyes. I move closer, placing my hands on the sides of his face while looking him straight in the eyes. “We’ll figure this out.”
Luke moves this time, wrapping his hands around my waist. “I know we will, it’s just…” he trails off. “It’s just what?” I ask, rubbing my thumbs in circular motions on the sides of his face.
“It’s just that… we were doing so good. At least, I thought we were. We were playing so many different gigs all around the city, we even played in so many other cities. People would ask when and where our next show was gonna be.” He pauses, moving his eyes to look at the guys and then back at me. “It just kind of felt like we were making our way up. And now we’ve been punched in the face by reality, and we’re falling all the way back down.”
Alex gets up from the couch, “the reality is that our band absolutely rocks.” I move to stand by Luke’s side, dropping my hands from his face. Luke lets my waist go, but keeps one arm firmly around my waist, while I wrap one of my arms around his waist as well.
“Yeah we do!” Reggie yells as he jumps up from the couch, laughing. We all smile and laugh along with Reggie.
“Even if we are falling, I highly doubt that that will stop any of us from getting back up again,” Bobby added in. The three of them move closer, standing on one side of the coffee table. Luke and I stand across from them.
“We shouldn’t look down,” I say without really meaning to. All four guys turn to look down at the table, when they see nothing they turn to me with confused looks on their faces. They ask one after the other, “what?”
“Well I just mean that, personally, I don’t think we’re falling down. If anything we’re flying higher. We’re rising,” I turn to look them each in the eyes, hoping that someone gets what I’m saying. Instead I receive more faces of confusion.
Luke tilted his head and asked “y/n, babe, what are you talking about?”
“You didn’t think that trying to play at the Orpheum was going to be that easy, did you?” I knew he did, they all did. Or at least all of them but Alex, he was the realist in our friend group.
“No but-”
This time I cut Luke off, “even if we hit the ground, which we won’t, even if we don’t play the Orpheum, which we will, we’ll find something else. Something better. We’ll still fly no matter. As long as we keep on going, we’ll keep rising up. We just have to keep trying, and not let rejection beat us down.”
“She’s right,” Luke says looking at me with eyes filled with love and adoration.
“When is y/n ever wrong?” Bobby laughs. Luke looks away from me, turning to look at the guys. He turns back to me again, “never, she’s amazing.”
“Either way, we are going to keep trying to get into the Orpheum because we’re Sunset freaking Curve, and we’re gonna be legends.” I shout with a grin making its way onto my face. The guys all shout out, and we start chanting “Sunset Curve.”
Tumblr media
“Luke what are you doing?” I laugh as he moves behind me, and places his hands over my eyes.
“I have a surprise for you, well technically the band has a surprise for you, but I did most of the work.” He replies, I can practically hear his smile. “I see your arrogance is making an appearance tonight, Patterson.” Luke lets out a laugh, and I can feel a smile making its way onto my face.
“It’s not arrogance baby, it’s confidence. Besides, you love it.” I’m the one to let out a laugh this time, and we both almost trip and die because of it. Before I can fall to the ground Luke wraps an arm around my waist and the other reaches out to steady us against a wall. I end up reaching out and grip onto his arm. Me tripping and being clumsy happens often so neither of us pay much attention to it, we just laugh and move on.
“I may or may not love your confidence, but I can’t let  you know that.” Luke gives me a questioning look before placing his hands over my eyes again. “Why not?” He huffs out a laugh as he starts walking us again.
“Because we don’t want your ego to get too big, now do we?” We both laugh. “My ego is the perfect size, thank you very much,” his tone comes out sassier than he probably meant.
“Well alright then, little miss sassy pants.” Based on muscle memory, Luke is leading us in the direction of the studio. “Hey! It’s Miss Sassy Pants to you.” If possible, Luke sounds even sassier than before. Before I get the chance to reply, I feel Luke move so that one hand is covering both of my eyes. I hear him open the front door, and he begins to walk us down the steps, towards the studio.
“I knew it,” I mumbled, or I thought I did.
“Knew what?”
“I knew-” Luke walks into the studio then stops midway, and I can hear the guys shuffling around before Luke asks if I’m ready. “Ready for what?”
“Just watch and listen,” he says as he takes his hands off of my eyes. When I open my eyes the guys are all watching me with huge smiles on their faces. They’re standing there, with their instruments at the ready. “What’s going on?” I ask with a laugh. Luke sits me in a chair that I didn’t even notice before, he kisses my cheek before he moves to stand front and center. “Y/n l/n. This song is for you, written by all of us, including you” The guys all laughed at the last part.
I was about to ask what he meant, Luke and I are the ones that write a majority of the songs for the band. The guys help out too, but ever since Luke and his parents got into that huge fight, Luke has been living in the studio, so we’ve been writing more often. The studio technically belongs to my parents, before it was just filled with old junk that now just lives in the attic. When the guys and I started the band though my parents let us turn it into… well the studio.  The night Luke and his parents got into that fight, I had asked my parents if it was okay if Luke stayed there. Alex was already crashing there at times, when his parents would argue with him or give him a hard time, and the others would stay in the studio at times too. The studio was a safe space for us, it was a place to stay if anything ever went wrong, and my parents were okay with that.
Before I was able to ask Luke when we had written a new song, the band started to play. Alex started off, counting from one to three and banging his drum sticks together. Luke was next, he started the first verse.
Take off, last stop
Countdown till we blast open the top
Face first, full charge
Electric hammer to the heart
The energy of the song was amazing, the band was going off. They were all jumping up and down in their designated areas, and Luke, Reggie and Alex start singing along to the pre-chorus.
Clocks move forward
But we don’t get older, no
Kept on climbing
Till our stars collided
And all the times we fell behind
Were just the keys to paradise
Luke never once breaks eye contact with me. He signs his heart out with the biggest smile on his face. Even though I love watching Luke perform, I turn and look at the rest of the band. Reggie is bouncing around, Alex is focused, and Bobby is the same. Yet, they all also have the biggest smiles on. When they all start singing the chorus, that’s when I realize what Luke meant when he said that I helped write the song.
Don’t look down
‘Cause we’re still rising up right now
And even if we hit the ground
We’ll still fly
Keep dreaming like we’ll live forever
But live it like it’s now or never
Instead of sitting down, I get up and I start to clap and cheer. Maybe even dance a little bit when Reggie and Luke start the next verse.
Hear the noise, in my head
It’s calling out like a voice I can’t forget
One life, no regrets
Catch up, got no time to catch my breath
When they sing the first two lines, Luke and Alex point at me, while Reggie and Bobby point at their heads.
Clocks move faster
Cause it’s all we’re after now, oh
Won’t stop climbing
Cause this is our time, yeah
When all the days felt black and white
Those were the best shades of my life
They start the pre-chorus again, and this time I sing along with them.
Don’t look down
'Cause we’re still rising up right now
And even if we hit the ground
We’ll still fly
Keep dreaming like we’ll live forever
But live it like it’s now or never
At the chorus, Luke, Reggie and Bobby all start walking towards me. They sing and just circle around me while I keep on singing along and dancing. The three of them part so that I can see Alex, where he starts singing the bridge, and Luke ends up singing some parts, and Reggie the last line.
We ain’t searching for tomorrow (Tomorrow)
'Cause we got all we need today (Today)
Living on a feeling that’s been running through our veins
We’re the revolution that’s been singing in the rain
When Alex sings he looks at me, and he tries not to laugh at my dancing.
Don’t look down
'Cause we’re still rising up right now
And even if we hit the ground
We’ll still fly
Keep dreaming like we’ll live forever
But live it like it’s now or never
It’s now or never (Now or never)
We all sing together, and I walk back with the guys to their spots. When the song comes to an end I let out a scream. “Guys! Oh my god! That was amazing! When did you guys write that? How did you write that without me? WHY would you write that without me?” They all laugh and get up to get something to drink.
“After Luke’s break down a couple weeks ago, he just kept repeating the chorus lyrics, the ones you said in your speech.” Alex was the one to explain. Luke turns to Alex with a face of feign hurt as he walks over to me, “to be fair, I deserved that breakdown.”
We all nod and laugh. Reggie smiles and says “dude, I think we all deserved our breakdowns.” But when we all turn to look at him he stops his water bottle half way and asks “what?” Bobby then asks him “when did you have a breakdown?”
“Didn’t we all have our own private breakdowns?” Reggie asks, and we all shake our heads no.
“Mine was kind of public, but no Reg, no we didn’t.” Luke answers his question, Reggie just replies with “oh! Well I was just kidding you guys! I never had a breakdown!” He’s embarrassed and ends up laughing, so we laugh with him.
“Okay guys but seriously that was amazing. What’s the song called?” I asked them all, Alex replied. He said “it’s called Now or Never.”
“Yeah, we all wrote it. We’ve been working on it for a couple of weeks now.” Luke added.
“You know, this song is so good, that I think we might have just found our way into the Orpheum.” I wasn’t lying, this song was the key.
