Ayato foodie rambles

So I am finally about to try and do my Ayato observations and analysis that I alluded to some time ago. Ayato is such an underrated character to talk about especially in this community so I want to use this post to give Ayato the spotlight he deserves and

Cannon Observations ~

Ayato is one of the only male characters (that I have observed) to have two voice overs relating to his favorite food. The first one, which is the one more recognized has Ayato mention that even though he likes the new milk tea offered he doesn’t have any particular preferences. However he also mentions that his staff prepares all of the food for him and will eat anything that they serve him. his other voice line is not as impressive but emphasizes his desire to try new and unique foods and asks what our personal tastes are and that he will try it later.

Ayato’s idol animation and the milk tea!! He has probably had dozens upon hundreds of these cups on our journey with him, who knows how many he has had in total but it certainly was not little.

He is generally presented not as a picky eater and never really shows any active disgust on anything he doesn’t really like and would just feed it to Thoma instead.

Unfortunatey I don't have enough time to gather all of the moments or screenshots where Ayato interacts with food, however I can confidently say that he does have moments where he is always seen at restaurants, having his favorite foods, and/or giving the gross foods to Thoma. He is also around during food themed Genshin events.

Ayato surprisingly has quite a bit of official art that involves him being with food!

Headcanons -

I know Ayato has mentioned in his voice line that his work is his hobby but, I honestly like to believe that with how much he loves to talk about trying new things and going to hot pot challenges, food and eating is a bit of a hobby to him as well.

When Ayato says that he will eat whatever is given to him, he is 100% literally. You could literally give him whatever you want however much you want and he will not stop eating until you stop giving him food. Whenever he does overstuff himself he either doesn't realized that he is full, or he does, but just doesn't stop regardless.

Ayato and Thoma are both feeders and feedee’s at the same time. Like with the hot pot challenge, they always try whatever they can to out stuff each other.

New Self indulgent OC!

Hello! I just created an oc that is a part of a series that I am currently creating but is also a huge self indulgent character as well, here's more about his character and personality:

Name: Sylvester

Gender: Male (he/him)

Species: Demigod

Weight: Varies

Hobbies: Eating, Work, reading

Pet Peeves: Going hungry

Abilities: telepathy, shapeshifting, universe jumping, charm.

Personally: Lax and easygoing, Sylvester lives with the simple pleasures of being able to eat as much as he likes. Food is so central to this man’s life that almost everything that he does is done to help satiate his gluttonous desires. If in any other sort of situation that doesn’t involve food he usually tries anything he can to keep his mind distracted such as reading, playing games, music, or doing anything related to work.

Other Facts ~

Working with his business partners Jacquline and Beou, Sylvester’s job specializes in detecting supernatural occurrences before they grow too dangerous.

Sylvester will not do anything for anyone unless if he is bribed with food in which if he is given a good enough bribe he is willing to change alliances with a drop of a hat.

Sylvester is powerful enough to destroy entire civilizations, but because he is so easygoing and lazy that he doesn’t bother doing so.

Sylvester is fairly good looking and he knows as such as he can easily charm and swoon people into getting free food out of them.

He is able to exist in almost any Universe/AU and is at least semi aware of all of them.

Because Sylvester eats an ungodly amount, he is consistently seen in different weights, a majority of the time he is seen fairly slim and regular weight, but at random moments you can see him with a bit of a gut or even overweight at times.

Sylvester hates going hungry to the point where if he is left without anything to eat for too long, he will grow into a more feral, animalistic, and ravenous state.

👖 🫳 🤒 for anybody

Since I can pick any character that I want I will pick Neuvillette since he is the one I can imagine in these situations the most.

👖Because of the way Neuvillette s clothes are designed, his outfit would most likely stretch out a bit before Neuvillette has to unbutton his pants, but it doesn’t take long for that to happen since he can probably bloat fairly easily.

🫳 I like to believe that if someone (specifically someone that he knows fairly well like Furina or one of the Melozines) were to come up to Neuvillette and rub his tummy, he would at first be shocked and confused on why they would do that, but gradually would get used to the feeling and would also feel satisfying for him in a sense.

🤒 Although I do feel like Neuvillette is capable to eat almost anything in access (even if he doesn’t quite realize that yet) his tummy is partially more sensitive to solid, and very fatty foods as they don’t sit particularly well in his stomach and why he prefers food that is more moist.

YESSS!!!! Luocha has been one of my personal favorites and I was honestly very lucky to get both him and his light cone on his debut banner!

Also, The Way of the Stomach event was one of those quick food maker web events, and within the event, Luocha was a common and regular customer on the event.

Because of the event itself, I like to have the belief that this was a regular thing he does regularly in his travels as he would come find different places to eat at and for some time, would come by very regularly getting something different to eat by the hour.

Also, as another mini headcanon, there is a line from Jinglu where she says that there is a hole in Luocha’s heart that can never be filled no matter how much he tries. Well as a thought, what if Luocha uses food as a way to temporarily fill that hole inside him and satiate him for the time being.

I was wondering if you had any stuffing headcanons/ideas with either Luocha or Argenti? I feel like both of them have their soft spots when it comes to food.

(P.S. the way of the stomach web event changed almost my entire perspective on Luocha)

I LOVE LUOCHA!!!! unfortunately, I don't have him on my acc, but I spent some time reading through his story rn, and man, it's shady. let's try to think of something that aligns with it well.

his goals on luofu are still not revealed, as far as I know, but he has a lot to do with seeking immortality. so, to achieve it, he needs to take good care of himself along the way - that includes eating well and often. that's why I also imagine him being a bit soft around the waist - luocha is so long-term oriented that it suits his character perfectly.

being a healer is tough and it absorbs a lot of luocha's energy. it makes me think about one of the popular teams for him, with blade. luocha heals him every possible second, blade uses up all the healing energy due to his abilities, so they both end up starving by the end of the battle.

luocha is also blessed by yaoshi, aeon of abundance. this kind of blessing is the kinkiest one imo. abundance means love, indulgence, growth and renewal, and yaoshi likes to have her followers well-fed.

finally, he's quite a feeder / encourager imo. I imagine him being good at both cooking or finding good places to eat in the city, so his companions always have enough energy for fighting, even if their stomachs are a bit too full sometimes.

I'm also weak for his formal attire lol. it looks, uh, stretchy. imma post a drawing of him after this >:)

This thought has been living in my head rent free and I just had to say this while I have the opportunity, but I headcanon that if Cassius was ever sent to an all you can eat buffet, he would take phrasing way too literally and think that he can eat all of the food in the building.

Maybe when I have the time and opportunity I can do an illustration of the scenario ^^
