26/1/2024 (rough week, in desperate need of a hug)

yea so ladybird was right about that, been feeling very depressed for the past few months actually, nothing really makes me happy anymore. I swear I've been trying to find joy in the smallest things but it's been really hard. I have never talked about this before but I was diagnosed with su1c1dal depression a few years back, it was really bad but I did get better, some days worse than others and it started getting really bad the last few months. I don't have the drive to do anything, and studying has been especially hard but somehow I managed to pass my exams last term with decent grades and I've already got my term 3 exam timetable as well.........

there's really no other option other than to just keep going, I don't have time for breaks or shit bc like AS levels are just so far away yet so near and I have to start preparing for it srsly.

not really big on goals for this year, so here r the 2 goals that I want to or attempt to do this yr:

get over my fear of math(math was and still is my most feared sub and I think my fear of it is what makes me hate it and stops me from doing well in it, so I really wanna get over that fear this year, not completely but just get somewhat confident in it)

fix my sleep schedule, like get actually 7hrs of sleep every day and not just have a 3-4hr nap before waking up for skl

Hello, how’s everything going?

I have been having the most busy time, I’m not sure if you remember but the last time I posted I mentioned that I was depressed and anxious and I think on the depression side I’m a lot better but on the anxiety side not really.

I got a lot of different items added up to the list of things that I have to worry about, it’s almost time for my midterms and also my design class has finally started with the main design project. I’ve been spending a lot of time on different assignments. I have a lot of different research to do which is actually interesting because we don’t usually get as many research projects.

I also finally finished reading the secret history —and that epilogue???—, and I started oblomov which I didn’t really get far into but it’s been a very joyous read! I really want to make the time to read more of it, but I just have been so busy with everything else I have going on. Plus I really haven’t been taking the bus recently. Cause before I would read a lot on the bus but these days I just don’t do that either so my leisure reading time has been reduced by a lot.

What else to say… oh yeah, I found this very cute café next to my campus and it has the most edgy interior design. Also, I didn’t get to go to the gym today and I may or may not have skipped yesterday so my gym days were really reduced this week which sucks.

November 30, 2023 - Thursday

And just like that, November is also over. Crazy how time just keeps going. I feel like I'm falling behind. It feels like my 20s will end soon and I am still here still playing house by myself. There's a lot of things that I had hoped to do in my 20s that I have not been able to do yet. I pray that Allah will give me the youth to do those things later. In truth, what is youth but simply energy and health? But you know, energy and health can appear any time in life, no matter how much time passes.

last photos from my favourite ocean <3

i got back home yesterday and spent the day just getting everything in order - doing grocery shopping, planning my studies for the month etc. i hate coming back to these freezing temperatures, but also it's kind of comforting. i have this little tiny voice of hope inside me that says maybe this winter will be good.

also, thanks to my vacation, i finally read a book for fun. i read Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes in sep. 2022 and i finally got around reading the sequel Finders Keepers. it wasn't as good in my opinion, but i still loved it as i tend to love all King's books. and on top of being a fun read, it awakened my addiction to buying notebooks with all the hundreds of filled Moleskines it kept mentioning in every single chapter.

anyways, on today's agenda:

probably still catching up on life stuff, like ugh do laundry

recapping what i studied in math a while back so i can jump in on it next week

if there's time, write some texts for school

Hello, hows it going?

Im so depressed and unwilling since… Thursday… Friday? theres so much sadness everywhere and as much as I try avoiding it, it’s still round me, and it really does make a negative impact on my daily life. I’ve been whining about this for four days now though, so I’ll just talk about some of the… slightly productive things I did.

I didn’t do much for the majority of the weekend, so my Saturday and Sunday were just me sitting around doing nothing, on Sunday afternoon™️ though I realized I had a lot of assignments for the following week and that I had not gotten started on any of them so I started studying and decided to do my assignments for my architectural expression class which I was supposed to have on Monday (today), BUT THEN our professor let us know that the class was cancelled this week. So I stopped doing that assignment and did nothing for a few hours again then I came back and did like 50% of my design class assignment, which was researching function spaces in hotels. And then I decided that I couldn’t study more and I just went to sleep.

Then today I had a lazy morning again but I did get started at noon, which was an improvement from the days before, I finished the research I had to do and started working on my assignments for my sketching class which are… a lot. And all of them are due this Wednesday… I have like four different assignments, and I’ve only managed to do one of them today. I have classes for the whole day tomorrow, so it’s very unlikely that I will get to do the rest of them, unless time magic suddenly becomes real.

I’m living off of milk-tea and toast. Send help.
