Living in Silicon Valley, I’m constantly told by other entrepreneurs about the benefits of the ketogenic diet, or “keto” for short. Entrepreneurs swear by it and claim it is “game-changing” for energy and focus. It seems to be the most popular diet of Silicon Valley, and people can’t stop raving about keto.
Last year I started developing horrible stomach issues and extreme pain. I decided to change my diet and give keto a try in the hope that it would help me. The very low-carb, high-fat keto diet promises benefits like weight loss, more energy, improved focus, and less inflammation.
I read a few keto cookbooks, and was immediately turned off by all of the meat and diary. I wanted plant-based keto products that would provide all of the health benefits of ‘going keto.’ I traveled a lot for work, and wanted to find keto snacks for my on-the-go lifestyle that I would feel good about putting into my body and would provide a way for me become healthier, tame inflammation, and achieve peak physical and mental performance.
Through my research of plant-based and vegetarian keto products, I learned you can have all of the benefits of ‘keto’ and not sacrificing your love of traditionally non-keto items such as pasta, baked goods, etc. Below I share my top 10 favorite on-the-go keto snacks that I always take with me during the work week and when I travel:

What is the keto diet:
