Coming here to rant and share some thoughts again, but I melt for soft zeke so much..

Fair warning - shit writing, maybe zekes a little ooc idk

He'd be the kind to overthink the most mundane things, but he voices his concerns in such a way that suggests he isn't as bothered as he actually is.

Something like this;

"I noticed a change in behavior today, y/n. Care to explain?" He's pulling his cigarette away from his mouth, looking over at you.

"What's wrong, Zeke? Are you alright?" You scoot closer to him, looking him in his eyes.

"Well, I'm quite alright." He obviously isn't. "Though I made a small observation today. I'm not very happy with it. Have I done something wrong?" He tilts his head a bit. "Today, I reached out for your hand. I wrapped my hand into yours, but you failed to hold mine back. Typically you like to hold my hand, what happenened?" His face holds a bit of a distraught expression, but his voice is entirely monotone.

"I didn't even realize, Zeke. I'm sorry, hon." Once Zeke puts out his cigarette, you quickly take him into your arms, brushing through his hair with your fingers. It's like he melts right into you.

"Well, nevermind that. I was not too upset, As I said before it was just an observation I made." He puts his head onto your chest, nuzzling closely and closing his eyes. You quickly remove his glasses from his face.

"Can't be wearing those when it's time for bed, can you?" You kiss his forehead, and he lets out a soft nod and then a yawn.

He puts his hand in yours, squeezing it a bit.

This time, you quickly return it. His hand is arguably much bigger than yours, and it's not exactly soft, but it's comforting nonetheless.

"Don't worry, Zeke. You know I love you so much." You lift his chin up just to give him a soft kiss, he returns it quickly. Of course, he falls asleep in your embrace just moments after.

He loves being held when he's crying. He doesn't like unexpected touch, and doesn't want to accidentally make you uncomfortable either, so he'll always ask if he can lie down with you, even if he's a bit shy too. He stretches out in your embrace so cutely, yawning and positioning himself as he melts into his book.
