Yes, they do. As dearest Lenore is an elf she’ll have a long lifespan, though not an immortal one (900-2000 years depending on the dnd edition you go by). So during that time I imagine they have up to six children.

D’arcy is not their first child. But he is their only living child at this point.

A few decades before Darcy was born they had their first child, a daughter named Elara who unfortunately inherited her mother’s bloody heritage. To cut a long story short her violent nature hit when she was quite young. She was only about 10/11 years old when it ended up being the death of her, quite literally. Lenore tries to be compassionate and hope that patience and nurture (something she didn’t receive growing up) will curb Elara’s own dark urges. But her mother’s love cannot compete with the will of a death god.

In an awful turn of events Elara turns on her own mother, Lenore is too deep in denial to see the attack coming but Astarion isn’t. And Elara’s violent life is cut short by her father.

They don’t have much luck with daughters as their second daughter (born after Darcy) also meets a very grizzly fate when she’s barely a few months old — but there’s a lot of context to that that needs to be understood first! The context being Lenore’s own backstory. Though she is a redeemed durge her story doesn’t follow the exact same series of events from in the game.

But fear not! I am currently working on (quite a meaty) comic in which she retells the parts of her childhood/life pre-tadpole that she remembers to her party — Gale, Shadowheart, and Astarion.

Since you all seemed to be quite excited with my comic announcement I decided to share a little more art I've done for it and take a minute to talk about the direction of the story.

So starting off. I cannot stress enough how the direction I've taken with this comic is very blown over the top and drama filled. I've added events in, spiced up existing characters and added in completely new characters of my own. Simple reason, because it was fun to write. I was having an absolute blast during quarantine to just write whatever I wanted and go a little wild with the interpretation of the story. So I feel the need to say because I've announced this comic now and people will have their own expectations of how the series of events will go (based on their own unique imaginings), my version of the seduction of Mairon- should not be taken seriously. This comic is not how I actually picture things went cannonly. There are some messages and some cannon characters in the story that I have flipped on their head and changed because I was challenging myself as a writer to see how creative I could get with this. I am in no way trying to be offensive to the original material. I am simply trying to have some fun with the world, story and it's characters and I've decided to share it with all you lovely people, just in case you would all enjoy it too, and it'll give you something to read or think about during this tough time in the crazy world. So my goal for this comic is not to make an accurate retelling of the story, it's my own slightly obscured interpretation of it and its purpose is for some escapism for both me and all of you.

Saying all of that, I will bite the bullet and tell you now this story covers themes that heavily go along the lines of "self expression" and I know how many people get peeved off with that being the interpretation that Melkor was just misunderstood and Eru is controlling. I'm very aware reading the book itself that it's not as black and white as that. However in the comic I decided to take the self expression concept to a more extreme interpretation, simply because the concept was interesting to me and I wanted to see how I could use this theme to the stories advantage. So if that concept of the whole self expression rights really REALLY bother you, then please don't read or look at my comic, because I don't want to upset anybody, anger anybody. I'm just here to share an idea and provide some entertainment, not the opposite of that.

I will probably repeat this similar message again later on down the line because I know I have a small following, and lots of people will miss this post, but I just want to be crystal clear when I start posting the comic itself that this isn't meant to be cannon accurate, I'm just here to have fun!

Hello lovelies!~

I have been really busy over Quarantine and I've been trying to post this announcement on Tumblr for MONTHS, but it's refused to post anything for me so, let's pray it posts now.

I have been working on something I'm super excited about, and it is a full comic about The seduction of Mairon. Start to finish, no little snippets it's not a short comic. But a fully complete story. I have it written out and I've begun work on the pages already and it's all going up on my patreon first which you can find here if you want early access to everything. The pages will be posted public eventually, but I wanted enough chapters ready to go so I can upload weekly and not be stressed out.

Now, I've been hesitant to mention because I'm worried how fellow Tolkien fans will take this. But, I understand everybody has their own beautiful interpretations of the seduction of Mairon and mine is going to be.... A little different. A bit off the beaten path and more drawn out for ~drama~. But that's not what's concerning me, it's more the extra lore I have added in myself for some fun, artistic choice and just generally more for emphasis on drama. I've talked about the lore I've added in plenty on my patreon while I've been developing this comic, but you will all see soon enough the things I've added in. I am in no way trying to be disrespectful to Tolkien's original lore, but I just kept having ideas and I thought they were amusing and would make for good story telling devices etc. So whenever I start to share everything, please take it with a pinch of salt!

However, above as you can see is a cast of familiar faces and one new one 👀 I hope the Tolkien fans are still lurking on here and see this, because I've lost all you guys since you've left Tumblr like, where have you all scattered off to?
