Answers. “Thank you. I think I’d like to meet Elena. I’ve always liked a GOOD SURVIVOR’S STORY – and among all of you brutes, I bet she could use some more girl’s company.”

        “I am the ALPHA of the North American werewolves.” He pointed out, but he knew, oh he knew, that was NOT what they were looking for him for. He doesn’t step back nor flinch as the Original steps far closer than he would like. ( he cannot say he is not unnerved, but he learned a long time ago to keep any reactions internal. ) His fingers wrap around the book, almost protectively and tilts his head as he keeps her gaze, keeping eye contact. “And if I were to ask for you to share what you know, what exactly would that COST ME?” he questioned, because he knew there was no way she would just give out information ( that is clearly valuable to him, even if she did not know why ) for free. “I’ll let her know you’re interested in meeting.” If Elena wanted to meet Rebekah, he’d arrange something ( rebekah was freya’s sister, after all, and freya was basically part of the pack now. ) but until then, he had other things to focus on.

It has thrust her into a world of supernatural politics she knows little about, not that she regrets a thing ( not when it also gave her her daughter ). “So I’m meeting you but let’s make one thing perfectly clear; I DON’T answer to you.”

         Oh, Clayton would be furious with how she’s speaking with him. It’s a good thing that Jeremy sent him out with Elena. “And I thank you for agreeing to meet with me. I understand that it must not have been an easy decision.” She’s quite the ANGRY one, but considering her situation, Jeremy understands. To go from being a lone wolf, to suddenly having an entire pack depend on her. A pack that had been cursed nearly all her life. “New Orleans belongs to the Crescents. Always has, and always will - but I did try to uncurse your pack. Unfortunately, I did not have the resources or knowledge.” He was still working on it when Hayley did it - something he is very RELIEVED by. “Allow me to say, I’m not trying to control you or your pack. It is your pack for you to lead. I am here as someone who you, as well as the other alphas, can go to if you need any guidance or assistance.”

This new sketch was of the twins watching a hole in a hillside. Logan lay stretched on his stomach in the long grass. Kate was perched over the hole, balanced precariously as she bent to look upside-down into the dark. I smiled.

 “It’s adorable. Even if we know why they’re really looking in there. Sussing out a potential meal.” 

“Actually, potential predatory competition. It’s a fox hole.” 

I noticed the faintest outline of a snout deep in the dark hollow. “Seriously?”

“Yes. They found it when we were hiking upstate. A fox kit was in there. Cowering in terror, I think.” 

I laughed. That only made the picture even more ironic, with Jeremy being part kitsune. I imagine there were times, growing up surrounded by boisterous werewolves, when he felt like that fox kit, shrinking back into his hole before he got trampled.

MAYBE YOU COULD INTRODUCE ME.” After all, both Elijah and Freya seem so happy – and yet, true love continues to evade her. Simply unfair.

       “That is a fair point.” Jeremy said with a slight nod. Her next statement makes him sigh softly. “I never said it was by CHANCE. While I never knew about them, they were looking for me.” He was sure she’d ask WHY, and that was not a question he really had a good answer for - other than the TRUTH, of course. “So you know anything about them?” He’d much rather discuss this with Freya before bringing her siblings into it. Then his lip twitched upwards. “I could ask the same of your siblings dating my pack - but I’ll see what I can do.” One Original involved with his pack was dangerous enough, but he wasn’t going to say that to any of their faces.
