One of my favorite scenes by far.

I love everything about her, and I’m not a guy who says that lightly, I’m a guy who has faked love his entire life, I’m a guy who thought love was just something idiots felt, but this woman has a hold on my heart that I could not break if I wanted to. And there have been times when I wanted to. It has been overwhelming and humbling, and even painful at times, but I could not stop loving her any more than I could stop breathing. I’m hopelessly, irretrievably in love with her. More than she knows.

Expectations of Love ... (it’s not exactly finished. Just a little something I wrote.)

Mood: Lost

If you’d ask me “What do you want to be when you grow up?” when I was a little girl I’d probably tell you “I want to be in love.” Yes, I am more than aware that being in love is not a career. While most girls probably wanted to be a popstar, a teacher (actually I did at one point want to be a teacher), or even an astronaut. Not me; ever since I was a little girl, I was in love with the idea of being in love. But can you blame me. At a young age we’re brought up with these princess fairy tale happily ever after Disney movies. But in reality it only gives little girls false hope. That maybe, just maybe their Prince Charming is out there looking for them. You grow up with the expectation that one day you’ll bump into “the love of your life,” you’ll lock eyes, and BAM the rest is history. But unfortunately it doesn’t work like that for most girls. We’re living in an era where your beauty is based on how many ‘likes’ and (or) DM’s you receive on social media. It’s sad to say if you’re not half nude. Then girl, you’re just shit out of luck. Try again next year.

As I was growing up, I started getting a little more insecure as the years passed. Girls in grade 5 were already claiming boys as their boyfriend. Which only made me question myself “what’s wrong with me?” I know can you believe that. Why at such a young age was I putting myself down when all I should have been worrying about was playing with dolls. I hadn’t even completed elementary and I was already worrying about boys. I always felt like the odd one out. I’d always wonder why none of the boys from my grade didn’t like me. I was so eager to have a boyfriend I think I would’ve gone out with just about anyone just to say I had a boyfriend. And no, I was not promiscuous. As mentioned before, I was just in love with the idea of being in love...
