Summary: When you joined class 1-A, your twin brother Katsuki demanded you stay away from his rival. But he never told you Todoroki was hot.

"Sit with me and Shitty Hair, got it? And don't talk to Deku or that Half 'n Half bastard!"
You sighed, rolling your eyes at your brother. "Oi, Sparky, calm down. I can take care of myself you know." You gave a wide smirk, elbowing your older brother in the side. "Besides, you'll be with me the whole time, eh?" He scoffed, though you could see a small smile form on his face.
The front yard of UA was crowded with students, all chatting idly in their own little groups before school started. You smiled at the sight.
"Two weeks in and they've already got friend groups." Katsuki huffed, looking away from the 'extras'. "Guess I'm late to the party, huh?"
"IT'S YOUR DAMN FAULT FOR SPENDING SO MUCH TIME AWAY!" You laughed at your brother's outburst, walking ahead of him into the building. He followed closely, glaring at anyone who sent a look your way.
You had just gotten back from an exchange trip, unfortunately missing the first two weeks of UA's school year. Your quirk was a little tougher to control than Katsuki's (which was a constant argument about 'which of the Bakugou twins was more powerful'), so your parents had decided to find someone who could help you out. Now, with your quirk mastered, you were ready to step into the light as a hero.
"C'mon Tsuki, you wanted me to meet your friends right?" You asked, walking a little bit faster.
"OI!" He shouted behind you, catching up to you with ease. "Who cares about those idiots!" You giggled a bit. Your brother was never one for real friends and it seemed he was hesitant to admit he had finally found some.
Katsuki directed you through the halls, finally landing in front of the surprisingly large Class 1-A door. You smiled, opening it up without hesitation.
The students inside were gathered in small groups, chatting with each other. Though they slowly quieted when they saw your unfamiliar face. At first glance, you could recognize some of the people Katsuki had told you about. There was Deku, who you easily recognized as the quirkless weirdo from your childhood.
Then there were a few of the others Katsuki had mentioned. Namely, his group of friends, including a pink girl who you assumed was 'Raccoon Eyes' judging by her entirely black sclera. Then there was 'Dunce Face', who reportedly had an electricity quirk that short-circuited his brain. The black bolt through his golden-blonde hair gave him away. Then there was 'Scotch Tape', a kid who could shoot tape out of his elbows. The boy with shaggy hair and abnormal elbows was a clear fit. Then there was the final group member, 'Shitty Hair' (who was clearly Katsuki's favorite). The boy with spiked red hair and jagged teeth matched his description perfectly.
Then, there were the other members of the class. Round Face, Glasses, Ears, Ponytail Girl, a short grape-shaped runt (who Katsuki demanded you stay away from), and most interestingly "that Half 'n Half Bastard".
Todoroki Shouto, if you remembered correctly. And fuck was he handsome.
Now, Katsuki had been very clear when he told you to stay away from him. Especially with how much training you'd be doing, but you couldn't help but want to talk with the stoic boy.
"Hey, Bakubro!" The red-haired boy from Katsuki's group walked up to you, a wide smile on his face. "This must be your sister!"
He walked up and stuck his hand out, waiting eagerly for you to shake it. "Nice to meet you! I'm Kirishima Ejirou!" You shook his hand firmly.
"Bakugou Y/n. But I'll make it easy, just call me Y/n." You released Kirishima's hand, glancing out of the corner of your eye to check if Todoroki was watching. It seemed he was, though his eyes quickly flicked away the second they met yours.
"And I'm Kaminari Denki." Another boy slid into your view, pushing the redhead out of the way. He gave you a sly smirk and a pair of finger guns, probably his poor attempt at flirting. "I'll admit, I wasn't expecting someone related to Bakugou to be so cute!"
He smirked, though his expression drastically shifted only a moment later. You could feel a dark aura behind you and you let out a small sigh, turning around to face your brother.
He was glaring at his blonde friend with anger he usually reserved for when people annoyed you. Honestly, you wished he'd calm down. You could take care of yourself after all, but you just shrugged and let him glare.
"Back away from my sister, Kaminari." Even you were a bit surprised at the use of Kaminari's name and it seemed the blonde got the message too.
"Got it. No flirting with the new girl. No worries Bakubro!" Kaminari gave a nervous nod, speeding back to his desk where he received comforting pats on the shoulder from his black-haired friend. Katsuki seemed to calm down, though he had noticeably taken a step closer to you. You rolled your eyes at the protectiveness, but a small part of you was happy he seemed to care so much.
"Okay brats, take your seats." A deep, tired-sounding voice interrupted your thoughts, drawing your attention to the doorway of your classroom. There stood a rather disheveled man, though Bakugou described him as a 'weird caterpillar man', you had learned he was the underground hero, Eraserhead.
The students all rushed to their seats, save for you. You just stood awkwardly at the front of the class, hoping for some directions. It seemed the teacher was going to yell at you until he realized you were a new face in his classroom.
"Oh right, our new student." He sighed. "I'm Aizawa Shouta, I'll be your teacher this year. Why don't you introduce yourself, if you haven't already." He gestured to the class, signaling for you to begin.
"Alright then." You stepped to the center of the desks, standing before your brand new classmates. "I'm Y/n Bakugou, Katsuki's twin sister. Just call me Y/n, it gets rid of the confusion." You began, keeping a smirk on your face the whole time.
You found yourself looking to Todoroki as you spoke as if you were telling this information to him alone. He seemed to be paying attention as well, listening to your words carefully. "I've just come back to Japan and I'm excited to be your classmate. I hope we can get along."
You bowed to the class, rising again with a wide smirk. A few of your classmates cheered (mainly Raccoon Eyes, Round Face, and the Invisible Chick, who all seemed excited to have another girl in the class).
"Alright then. Y/n, take a seat next to Todoroki. Raise your hand, Todoroki." The heterochromatic boy raised his right hand calmly and you sat down beside him, not listening as your teacher droned on about something or other.
You could see your brother's face go red from anger, probably frustrated that you had to sit next to his rival. Well, one of his rivals. Todoroki, however, seemed much calmer. His eyes would flick over to you occasionally, scanning your form and looking away the second he met your eyes. You chuckled each time, sending a strange tingling feeling down Shouto's spine. After a while, he began to notice that you hadn't taken a single note in your completely blank book. He squinted his eyes, staring at the blank page.
"You should pay attention, you know." You whispered, careful not to alert Aizawa with the volume of your voice. He was turned around anyway, writing something on the board and droning on about another hero studies topic.
Todoroki's head picked up and he looked over to you. "I should say the same to you." He answered, once again glancing at the blank notebook below you.
"Nah, I think I'm good with the view." You commented, continuing to stare his way. He sharply inhaled, doing his best to ignore the feeling making its way through his chest and focusing once again on the whatever Aizawa was saying.
Still, he found his eyes involuntarily flicking to yours, each time looking away once you made eye contact.
"Okay, get your gym outfits on and meet in the field. It's about time for more training." You could hear the class sigh, though some seemed rather excited at the idea. You were one were thrilled with the thought of letting your quirk run wild. It had been a while since you'd been able to have a real fight and you couldn't help the thrill creeping up your throat.
Changing with the girls was simple. They all seemed excited to have you there, one more member of the girl's team to spend time with. They all seemed sweet as well, offering small compliments or asking about you and Katsuki's lives outside school. You answered them all easily, happy to be accepted so quickly.
Eventually, you came to a standstill with the rest of the class, finding a spot beside the group of boys already there.
"With the Sports Festival coming up in several weeks, it's important to train all you can. I'll help you out with that by letting you pair up and practice your quirks on someone new. Good luck."
With that, he walked to the side, sliding into his sleeping bag and leaning against the shady wall of the building.
"Uh... does he do that a lot?" You asked, looking around at your brother's friends. Kirishima laughed a bit, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yeah, don't worry, that's normal." You nodded slowly, slightly concerned.
"Oi! Acid!" Your brother shouted, referring to you. "Come spar with me!"
You glanced in Todoroki's direction, who seemed to be scanning the room for someone decent to partner with. "Last I checked, Tsuki, Aizawa-sensei said to partner with someone new. We've spent our whole lives sparring together." You smirked as his eye twitched slightly. "Maybe next time."
You waved him off, leaving his small group. "Aw, why didn't she partner with one of us?" Mina asked, watching with a pouty face as you walked toward the other members of the class.
"Tch," Katsuki scoffed, turning his head away from you. "Who cares what she does. C'mon Shitty Hair." He gestured for Kirishima to follow him and the redhead shrugged, walking after his friend.
You, on the other hand, were busy talking to Todoroki.
"Todoroki Shouto, right?" You reached out a hand to him, smiling.
His eyes narrowed at the gesture. "And you're Bakugou." You laughed a bit, pulling back your hand.
"Just call me Y/n, it's less confusing that way." You pointed your thumb in Katsuki's direction, smiling as you heard an explosion and a loud voice yelling 'DIE!!'. "I introduced myself today, but hey, gotta make a first impression. Well, besides side glances in the middle of class."
Again, Todoroki's eyes only narrowed. He watched you carefully as if you were suddenly going to snap at him. "Why are you here?"
You raised an eyebrow. "I thought that was obvious. Let's spar! I'd love to see you in action." You gave him a wink, though the gesture didn't seem to affect him at all. He paused for a moment, seemingly mulling over his options before nodding and walking off to a free area.
You stood across from him, lowering yourself into a fighting stance. Admittedly, you really were interested in seeing his quirk. Katsuki said he has an ice and fire quirk, though he refrains from using his fire for unknown reasons. It would be an interesting match-up against your quirk and you were interested to see how it would turn out.
"Ready?" You asked, smirking, raising your arms to protect your face and torso. Todoroki gave a swift nod, lowering into a similar stance. "Go!"
You were the first to rush forward. Deciding to start things off with a bang, you held out your hands, releasing one of your explosions. Todoroki's eyes widened, though he dodged the blast just in time.
"I guess you were expecting an explosive quirk from Katsuki's twin, huh?" You laughed, closing your fists. You had a similar quirk to Katsuki's, as most twins did, though yours was a little more like your fathers. You could create explosions, just like Katsuki, though you could also make them acidic, giving you the ability to melt things as well as ignite your sweat. Your explosions appeared green, a glowing radioactive-like color that made others wary of your abilities. "Mines a little different though, I'm the more powerful twin after all."
Across the training field, you heard Katsuki yell out in protest, though you ignored him completely.
"I see." Todoroki sent a wave of ice your way with little to no hesitation. You broke it with your explosions, melting the ice with ease.
"This'll be a fun battle." You smiled, cracking your neck.
Sure enough, you and Todoroki made a surprisingly good sparring pair. Your fight eventually ended in a tie, leaving you with a new degree of respect for the dual-haired student.
"Not half bad, IcyHot," You remarked, punching him softly in the shoulder. It seemed he was about to correct you, though he only looked away. If you looked close enough, you might've seen the small amount of pink dusting his cheeks, though you turned away too fast. "Maybe we should spar together more often, huh?"
He nodded, watching as you walked back toward your yelling brother.
The rest of the day went quickly, and soon enough you were left to pack up your things. You could see Katsuki packing a bit slower, probably waiting for you to finish.
"Y/n-san."
A low voice grabbed your attention as you slid your notebook into your bag. "Half 'n Half, how can I help you?" You asked with a smile, putting away the last of your belongings.
"Your offer earlier, I'd like to take it."
You raised a brow, a bit confused. "Eh?"
"To spar together. I think it would be beneficial, especially given the Sports Festival is approaching. We have several weeks of training left." He handed you a small slip of paper. You opened it to reveal a street listing and a phone number along with the neatly written name "Shouto". "Maybe you could come over tomorrow and we can start."
You smirked, leaning closer to him. "Well, I didn't think getting your number would be this easy." Though he seemed unsure what you meant, he blushed anyway. You laughed at the nervous expression, standing straight once again. "Tomorrow after school?" He nodded, turning away and leaving the classroom. You smirked as you watched him leave, silently cheering at your success.
"Oi, let's go brat. That old hag wants us home early today." Katsuki said, standing next to you as you picked up your bag, tossing it over your shoulder.
"Got it." You said, leading the way out of the classroom. Katsuki's friends joined you, walking toward the train station you all rode home on.
You and Katsuki were the only ones who took a train together though since the others all split up in different directions (save for Kirishima and Mina). You sat next to each other in a surprisingly empty car, the only other residents seemed to be a few other students.
"You were talking to that IcyHot bastard," Katsuki stated, sounding a bit more upset than usual. You sighed, already knowing where this was going.
"C'mon Tsuki, it was sparring! Besides, you didn't tell me he was cute." You gave your brother a sly smirk, knowing that would piss him off. Sure enough, small red-orange explosions popped in his hands before he clenched his fists closed.
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO TALK TO HIM!!!"
The sudden yelling made the other students turn their heads. Judging by the uniform, they were also from UA. Almost immediately, they turned away from Katsuki's outburst, going back to their own conversation.
They must know who he is. You thought to yourself, silently laughing.
"Tsuki it's not that big a deal. I can take care of myself, okay?" You reassured. Katsuki didn't seem convinced. "Plus, it's better than 'Deku'." You teased, hoping the slight mockery of Midoriya would get his mind off of Todoroki.
Though Katsuki grumbled, he seemed to agree.
Over the next several weeks, you continued to walk home with Todoroki, sparring in his training room. All that time you continuously flirted with him, though he never seemed to catch on. You'd spent hours training together, exchanging conversations and even dinners together. You stuck around and met Fuyumi, as well as Endeavor (who you did not like). Endeavor seemed to like you though, mostly for the intense strength of your quirk.
On Shouto's side of things, he was beginning to like Katsuki's slightly quieter sibling. You were sweet but still tough, a combination he could admire. Though the feeling when he thought of you was foreign to him, completely different than anything he'd felt before. Upon consulting Yaoyorozu (the person closest to his desk) she confirmed that it might be a crush and the best way to quell it was to confess your feelings.
Usually, Todoroki had no problem in nerve-wracking situations. He felt no anxiety when talking to his classmates, though he chose not to anyway.
But when he thought of telling you how he felt, there was a strange nervousness that swelled in his mind. Every time he planned to, he cowered back, dismissing it and moving on to another topic.
His crush only seemed to get worse though and he found himself watching you as you trained.
The next day, you walked home with Todoroki. You two talked every once in a while, well, more accurately you talked and he listened. It was surprisingly comfortable. Todoroki had a calming presence, which was something you weren't used to. Your brother and your mom were aggressive, to say the least, and while you weren't as loud as them, you could definitely hold your own in an argument. Your father was the only calm person you knew, though he was more nervous than level-headed, like Todoroki.
Eventually, you arrived at the now familiar Todoroki estate, walking in and slipping on the pair of indoor slippers Endeavor had gotten for you. Both you and Todoroki suspected he was attempting to push you two together, though it was one of his less harmful actions, so you didn't bother correcting him.
As Todoroki led you through the house, you waved to Fuyumi who was busy chopping up vegetables, likely preparing a late lunch or early dinner. Like always, Shouto seemed apprehensive about going inside the training room, but he still went in.
"You can go ahead and change," He said, nodding toward the small changing area off to the side. You walked in as he went off in another direction, placing his school bag near the entrance to the room. You grabbed a change of clothes and did the same, slipping into the bathroom to put them on.
It took you only a few minutes, changing into the black shorts and tank top. As you walked out, you spotted Todoroki already waiting for you. He wore long, black gym pants and a t-shirt.
"So," you started, stretching your arms above your head. "I say we start with some hand-to-hand combat, especially since it's the area you're struggling in. We've pretty much improved everything else these past couple weeks.
You walked out a few minutes later, spotting Todoroki, who was already waiting for you. He wore long gym pants and a t-shirt, not too different from UA's gym uniforms.
"So, how should we start this off?" You asked, stretching your arms back and forth. You bent over to touch your toes, cringing slightly at the sound of your back cracking.
"Perhaps hand to hand combat, no quirks." You smiled at that. You were good at hand-to-hand combat, especially because your explosions were shorter range than Katsuki's, though you always enjoyed the extra practice.
"You're on." Once again, you lowered yourself into a fighting stance, one hand beckoning him forward.
He moved first, charging toward you with one fist out. By the way he was moving, you could tell he wasn't very experienced in hand-to-hand.
That ice and fire must be long-range. You thought, dodging his first punch. You sent one back, slamming it into his side.
You were a Bakugou after all, and what kind of Bakugou holds back?
"Close combat isn't your thing, huh?" You remarked, swiping your leg through the air, aiming for his face. He leaned back and your foot only connected with strands of his hair.
"It's one of the areas I need to improve in," He confirmed, ducking under another one of your punches, grabbing your arm, and slamming you down.
"Well, I'm the perfect girl to practice with." Not deterred at all, you tensed your arm, slamming your head backward quickly. You hit his face and his grip loosened, allowing you to pull out of it and sweep your leg under his feet, making him fall over onto his stomach.
He managed to flip his body quickly, but you straddled him, raising one arm to his neck and pinning his other arms up with your other hand.
"Not bad, but there's a clear winner here," You laughed a bit as he attempted to work his hands out of your grip to no avail. Eventually, he sighed and gave in, allowing you to release his hands and lean up, moving your arm from his neck. You stayed on his lap though, not wanting to move just yet.
He looked confused by this, staring at you with one eyebrow arched. "The match is over, you can move off me now."
You blinked momentarily before giving him a wide smirk. "Nah, this seat is pretty comfy." You winked at him, waiting for his reaction. His head only tilted, adding to his already confused look.
"There are much more comfortable chairs. I can go get another if none of the ones in here suit your liking?"
You blinked, wide-eyed. Damn... he's pretty oblivious, huh?
You leaned forward, trying to be even more obvious with your flirting. "This one's got the best view though." Your hot breath hit his face, making him finally blush in acknowledgment. You smelled of sugar, even more so as your hand came up to cup his face.
"I hope you don't mind, Todoroki. You probably aren't my brother's biggest fan."
"I don't mind at all." You pulled him closer to you, kissing him.
In all honesty, he wasn't the world's best kisser, but somehow you still felt sparks. When you finally pulled back for air, he seemed almost dazed and you giggled at the look on his face.
"I... I've never done that before." His hand had moved to your thigh, holding you against him. The gesture was sweet and his hand rested comfortably. You could noticeably feel a difference in temperature though, one hand seeming drastically colder than the other.
"Someone as good-looking as you? Count me surprised." Your hands moved to his neck, wrapping themselves around it. You pulled him closer to you, studying his mismatched eyes carefully.
He really was beautiful.
"And where the hell were you?!" Katsuki stuck his head out of the room the second he heard you coming up. It would've startled you if he didn't do this every time you were out for longer than a few hours.
"Training," You shrugged, brushing him off.
"WITH WHO?!" You could hear his quirk pop against the door, and your own hands were starting to smoke from his yelling.
"With Shouto. Does it matter?"
"SHOUTO?! WHO THE HELL IS THAT?!"
After a solid minute of staring, he managed to figure it out.
...at least your mom stopped him from hunting Shouto down...
