So I've recently noticed some issues with my masterlist. Y'all have probably noticed it as well.

It would seem that the links arent working anymore, sending even myself to pages that say the post no longer exists or something similar. I assure you, those posts still exist.

On that note! I've been working on a nicer looking masterlist and hopefully it wont do this.

Im making a new masterlist not only because of the linking issues but because I wanted to start adding COD and Batman content into the mix so having a much bigger masterlist would do wonders for that.

Give it some time as I collect all the stories and homework for co-ledge (college) fucks me harder than a half demon and the process of moving goes under way at the end of the year.

I hope to have it up, if not before my move, after my move in the new year.

Imagine Meeting DMC 2 Dante

So, I finally got around to playing DMC 2 and Dante is so much more stoic in that game than he is in any of the others. He doesn't talk much and is just a very serious lad compared to the other games where he is the wacky woohoo pizza man.

Capcom trying to make him this way didn't hit too much and I'm sure the rest of the fandom can agree from what I've seen from other reviews.

This isn't where this post is getting at tho.

Seeing Dante more like Vergil in this game had me thinking.

What if this is the Dante you met?

Imagine having baby Nero, walking around Redgrave, and seeing the white-haired man. He's in red so you know it's not the man you met a few years back but maybe he's at least related. It couldn't hurt to check, right?

So you walk up to him and he doesn't say anything but he does notice Nero. And Dante immediately thinks that the boy is his. And he's confused and a little scared. He wasn't made to be a father, especially not with the life he lives.

So he tries to let you down easily and leave the situation as soon as possible. He tries until you say, "I watched you go the first time, I can't let you go again. Please, even if you aren't him, I need someone related to him. Nero needs his family and I'm the only one."

And Dante realizes you are Vergil's mate and this was Vergil's offspring, Dante's kin. And a protectiveness washes over him and he instantly feels the need to protect you, the boy, and kick Vergil's ass the next time he sees him, no matter the man's condition.

So with a few words, Dante takes you back to the DMC building and gives you one of the upstairs spare rooms, and helps you take care of Nero. He tells you about Vergil and their family and in turn, you tell Dante about how you and Vergil met and about his new nephew.

He helps you raise the boy as he becomes the moody, sarcastic hotheaded teen we see in DMC 4. And at some point Nero does ask about his father and you both tell him and he still hates Vergil just as much as he does in DMC 5.

And seeing Dante become this light-hearted, wacky man over the years kind of helps soothe you and you could see yourself living the rest of your life helping Dante with his business, even if it's just as his financial advisor.

And when Dante and Nero go on their mission in DMC 5 and Dante finds out it's his brother behind all this, that battle at the top of the Qliphoth is much more heated and Vergil can tell this is something more than just getting back at his brother for opening a portal to hell and trying to become the ruler.

So when they're walking through hell, Vergil has to ask. "I know there is more to this than our old rivalry."

Dante hums. "Yeah, it is."

"Enlighten me then brother." "Nero, he's yours." "I thought we established that already?"

Dante chuckles. "Yeah but not about his mother."

Vergil looks at his brother curiously. "Is she alive?" "Very much so. She's been staying with me since we were 30. She came to me on the streets, begging me to stay thinking I was you. She's quite the woman, Vergil, I can't believe you let her go."

Vergil hums, nodding.

You will always be grateful for Dante letting you in and helping you out. And Dante will always feel like he's in debt to you even if it should be the other way around. Because you are his family, and he will do anything and everything to make sure you never end up like the lost woman who came begging for his love and approval all those years ago.

Imagine...

Imagine your son has been a fan of Dante's forever, like since he was born, and when news spreads that the devil slayer is in town your son begs you to go see him even if that means spending a lot of money on this one little trip. You can't say no to your son, he's too cute! So you both go. And when you get there you realize that Dante isn't alone. No, no, no. His brother, Vergil, is there with him. And your eyes meet. And suddenly, your mind is filled with hundreds of memories from when you were a teen. And suddenly you don't want to be there anymore but you can't go, your son hasn't gotten his picture with Dante yet nor an autograph. So you stay. And when it's finally his turn in line, Vergil can't stop looking at the child. Snow white hair? Baby blue eyes? He's the spitting image of Dante, excited attitude and all. But Dante sees Vergil in the passion and drive and focus the kid has, talking about wanting to be a devil hunter one day.

"Does your mom approve of all of this kid?" Dante asks.

The two men look to you now and that's when they realize something you already knew.

"I think he'll do great," you reply.

Vergil stares. Dante chuckles.

"Well, maybe one day we'll get to see it and you can join us," Dante tells your son.

Vergil is still staring. You smile at him and the man just can't anymore. He whispers something to Dante before going behind the photo booth thing. Before you and your son leave, Dante shoves some paper in your hand as you shake his hand.

I'm surprised this is how we meet but Vergil always has his secrets. He misses you I think. Call the shop if you ever need us

You smile.

"What is it, Mom?" Nero asks.

"Just some note from an old friend," you reply.

Someone has probably already talked about this but I must as well now.

So, I just saw the scene were Batman is telling the League he can't be at a meeting because he has a teacher parent conference with one of Damian's teachers. Flash makes a joke about him being a PTA member and now I can't unsee it.

Like imagine he's been a PTA member for every school, every one of his kids has been in. He's most likely the only dad and all the women adore him.

He's always bringing in cookies Alfred made and actually has things to contribute to the meetings. He's a billionaire and could just fund everything they do but he likes the idea of seeing the kids raise the money and helps some of em develop business skills. Some of the kids take what he taught them and become successful business leaders later on in life.

Every new kid means a new set of friends and parents from the PTA to interact with as well. Dick had at least 6, Jason had 4, Tim and Cass had 3 and currently, Damian has 1.

One year another father joined the PTA and Bruce was almost offered to no longer be the only male there but the guy was actually pretty cool. Alfred almost dared to say Bruce made a friend but he won't admit it.

Picking up the kids is always fun as well. Sometimes he's not just picking up his kid and when he notices Damian walking out with the one friend he's made (that's not Jon) Bruce smiles. The kid's mom he recognizes from a few PTA meetings.

PTA mom Bruce is a gem and he really loves being apart of his kids lives.

You and Dante have been friends almost as long as he's known Lady. He met you some time after meeting Lady while on a mission and after telling him you needed a job, no matter what the work load would be, he let you join him at DMC. You help with the finances and overall keep the shop together so it doesn't crumble to nothing. As the years passed, it became very clear that Dante had a horrendously big crush on you. Well, clear to everyone but you. Dante has tried to get you to notice but you were just too oblivious. You could never really tell when anyone was flirting with you or just being nice so Dante was definitely having a hard time getting trough to you. One afternoon while the two of you are cleaning up the building, Dante makes a comment about how pretty you are. Your face heats up as you laugh it off. It takes you a few seconds before you finally realize. "Wait, did... did you just flirt with me? On purpose?" you ask. "I have been for a few years now but thanks for finally noticing," Dante replies. You hit him with the rag you were using, the half demon laughing. "Dante! You could have told me sooner!" you yell at him. "I didn't think you'd believe me," Dante replies. You smack him again as he pulls you in. "I hate you," you say. "I'm sure you do," he replies before placing a kiss on your cheek.

When you find something you love, you can talk about it for hours

Lucky for you, Dante loves hearing about your hypertfixations

He finds it wonderful to see you excited about something and wants to know everything you can about it

One day while talking to Dante, you notice him seemingly not paying as much attention as he usually does

He'd been writing in a notebook the entire you'd been talking

You instantly begin to think you might be annoying him or boring him and slowly stop talking

When you do, he looks up at you worried

"What's wrong sweet pea? Why did you stop talking?"

"Do I... Do I annoy you?"

He's quite shocked

You could never annoy him!

"Never! I love when you tell me all about the things you are interested in!"

"You've been looking at that notebook this entire time though"

Dante softly smiles before flipping the notebook so you see it

On the page is a list of everything you've ever told Dante about, new and old

"I've been keeping a list of the things you like. I was adding this to it"

Dante pulls you in, kissing all over your face until you start laughing

He will reassure you anytime you need it and sometimes even when you don't expect it

He loves listening to you ramble on and on and he won't ever let you think otherwise

Vergil

Vergil is a man with his own problems and one of those is perfection

Growing up, Vergil worked hard to earn his father's approval and maintain it

Getting ready for a mission one day, Vergil notices lots of things are missing or out of place

"Sweetheart, where is everything? I need to get going soon"

"Oh! It's, um..."

"Sweetheart, please"

"I remember! I promise! It's- It's..."

"Y/N! Why can't you just remember these things?!"

Vergil instantly regretted yelling at you

He knew you were trying your hardest

He couldn't get his apology in, however, as you ran off and he had to get to this mission at this point

You spent the rest of the day with Nero, the kid making threats to his father and reassuring you

When Vergil came home, he was greeted by an angry Nero

"You better fix this"

Nero lets his father in, taking him to you instantly

You're curled up on the couch, a look of fear when you see Vergil walk in

It breaks Vergil to see you scared of him, its the one thing he didn't want to do

"I'm sorry, love"

He has a few gifts for you; your comfort food, a soft sweater in Vergil's signature royal blue and a matching blanket

Without warning, you pull Vergil into a hug, ignoring the gifts

He holds you tightly, as close as he can get you to him

Vergil works on forgetting about perfection because really, nothing will ever be perfect

As long as he has you though, it's near damn perfect

V

He lost you

Again

"Angel! Come back! Where are you?!"

He told you to stay right next to him while he talked to this guy to get info

Now, he turns and finds you've run off

Again

"Angel!!"

It wasn't safe for you out here

Who knows what demon or monster of a human would find you

V knows you can hold your own but that doesn't stop him from worrying about you when you venture off like this

As V rounds a corner, he sees you battling it out with a demon

A demon that just pierced your leg

"YOU INSISTENT FOOL, LET GO OF THEM"

The demon flings you in a different direction before growling at the poet

V takes down the demon before rushing over to you

You were laying on the asphalt, the pincer of the demon still stuck in your leg

V doesn't say anything to you, just helps you up and gets you back to home base as quickly as possible

Vergil patches you up and makes sure you don't try running after your boyfriend back onto the battlefield

Later when V and Dante come back, Vergil leads Dante out of the room so you and V could talk

"I'm sorry for running off again"

"Oh angel"

V pulls you into a hug, trying not to hurt your leg

"Not out of sight anymore, please"

The two of you work on it over the next few weeks leading up to your next mission together

V's gentle with you as well, softly reminding you when you need it until it becomes second nature

And if you have to get out of his sight for something, you tell him before running off. A lot of the time he follows

V also reminds you he loves you more than anything

He doesn't want you getting hurt again

He has trust in you though

While you can't help it every time, he trusts that you'll come back in one piece

His little wanderer

Nero

You weren't listening again

Your attention was somewhere else and Nero could tell

He was trying to brief you on a mission but you weren't taking in anything he was saying

"Baby, you getting any of this?"

Focusing on Nero, you stiffen and your face becomes pale

You realize you've been daydreaming the entire time and the look on Nero's face tells you everything

He's disappointed

Blotches of color return to your face as hot tears slowly roll down your cheeks

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Nero watched as you bow your head, holding your wrist out, the sight making his heart ache

He knew the orphanage people were terrible to you for being a little different than everyone else but the stance you held was so defenseless, it was like you were expecting someone to hit you

He slowly walks over, taking your hand in his

He sits down next to you on the couch, slowly putting your arm down

You look up at him, the scared confused expression stained with tears making Nero tear up himself

"I'm not upset, baby"

You begin to cry again, this time pulling Nero into a hug

He holds on to you, slowly rubbing your back and whispered soothing reassurance into your ear

"You're safe now. I won't hurt you like they did"

"I'm sorry"

Nero quietly shushes you, telling you it's ok

Once you'd calmed down and Nero checked in with you to make sure you were ok, he slowly went back over the mission

He checked in with you to make sure you understood and rewarded you with kisses when you were able to repeat back to him

If you couldn't, that was ok. Nero simply went back over whatever part he was on

He was forced to watch back then when you two were kids, getting punished for being different. Sometimes taking extra beatings for trying to save or defend you

He wasn't going to let that continue now

You may be different, but that wasn't going to stop him from loving you anyways

He reassures you and rewards you for any and everything

You may be different but that's exactly what Nero loved about you

Before meeting Price, you were used to having to take care of yourself and doing all the cleaning and cooking around the house when you did live with other people. Upon meeting Price, you were fully prepared to do the same thing for him but mans surprises you.

When you go to do the laundry, you find the man already putting away and ironing clothes. Trying to cook dinner? Nope! That man is in the kitchen already or has ordered your favorite takeout.

At first, you thought it was him still trying to court you but now 4 years into your relationship, he was still doing all these things around the house.

He's in the military and you're not? Don't worry bout dinner honey cuz he made sure to have meal plans curated for short periods away or has takeout on its way every Friday night when he's gone for long periods of time. When he comes back, he is all over you and making sure you don't have to do a thing. He's cooking, cleaning, and cuddling.

You're both in the military? DO. NOT. DO. SHIT. And he means that in the most loving way possible. That man is doing anything and everything he can for you no matter if you can do it on your own or not. 141 will say he's whipped or a simp but John Price is completely ok with that. He loves his wonderful partner and would do anything for them.

And if ever there is a universe or timeline that you're in the military and he's not? He is on that shit night and day. Cooking, cleaning, and making sure that everything is done so that when you come home, there is nothing for you to worry about other than receiving all the love he has for you.

John Price is the dad of 141 but he is the wife of his significant other.

Can I request a shy S/O who has a crush on Vergil/Dante/V and they draw the boys secretly in their sketchbook with little notes like "saw him in those dark blue jeans again he's so beautiful" or "how do I tell him I love him?" etc. The boys stumble upon this and they're so flattered they blush to their chest.

Your sketchbook was filled with sketches of him mostly during training since it was the only time his focus couldn't ver towards you at any given moment

You've indirectly gotten better at drawing action poses and the male torso because of this and the fact that this man goes full Grey Fullbuster and takes off his shirt to train

The other time you're able to draw him is when he's asleep, a magazine covering his face

One particular position you found him laying in had you write a note of "Idk how he's sleeping like this" next to the sketch of it.

Dante has noticed you with this sketchbook and hadn't thought anything of it until he realized he never sees you drawing him in it

His curiosity got the better of him one day and decides to take a look while you left it unattended.

The first few pages were as he expected, sketches of Shadow when she was around, the girls of the team, and even some of the orphanage kids playing from when you would visit Nero and Kyrie

Towards the middle of the book, he found all the sketches of him you'd been hiding

He looks over every single one and reads all the little notes you've left behind

He finds the whole idea of you sketching him cute and endearing

Seeing a particular sketch of him asleep, face facing you, with the note "He looks like he gives nice cuddles" has his face a flame, red tracing all the way down his neck

You drew this scared up man so soft, it was like he was looking at someone else

Vergil

You find going unnoticed by Vergil to be easy

He's always either reading or beating up Dante when not on missions

Vergil finds your sketchbook when he mistakes it for his collection of poems on a particularly sleepy morning

Opening it, he's taken back by all the drawings

It's obvious you have some skill

As he turns the page, he finds an entire spread dedicated to him reading

At the very bottom of the page it reads "he's always reading this thing, i wonder what secrets it holds"

Vergil softly smiles, a faint heat resting across his cheeks wondering if he could share a piece of himself with someone again

He was ready, wasn't he?

Flipping the page he finds a spread dedicated to him cooking, fighting, even simply being dressed up in a suit

"I'll admit, he's sexy in a suit"

Vergil's face sets a flame, the man shutting the sketchbook and replacing it finally with his poems

You become curious by the new sets of suits in the coming days but never complain

V

Griffon stole the sketchbook when you left it unattended

He scolds the bird for digging in your private processions but with a little coaxing from Griffon he looks inside

He's not surprised to see sketches of Shadow and Griffon, the bird boasting about how good he looked

As he turns the page, Griffon teases him for the bright pink blush that spreads across his face upon seeing sketches of himself

"My beautiful muse" is written in a beautiful cursive next to a sketch of V smiling

He flips the page expecting to find something different but it's more drawings of him

"May he ever know how he sets my heart a burning"

V can't help but adore you right then

He smiles, closing the sketchbook as you approach

He looks up to you, his smile causing one to spread across your own face

Griffon makes some comment about leaving you two to it before disappearing

When he first met you it was in a health-type situation

Dante found himself lying on the asphalt after beating up some demons and he was immediately awestruck by seeing you; you could see the hearts forming in his pupils

It was over for this man once he saw you fight

As a demon he missed came up to the two of you, he was ready to pop back up and defeat it but you beat him to it

Watching you take down that demon was a sight Dante could get hooked on

When you return to take care of him, he's sitting up, seemingly ok now and whistles at you

"You know angel, if you ever need a place to work I could use a beauty like you to heal me up"

About a month later you're workin for him but only to make sure he stays out of trouble

Vergil

Vergil met you on a job

He was taking care of a hoard when he noticed you taking care of some kids who'd gotten hurt before he got there

While watching you he notices a demon coming straight for you

He's stunned however to see you take care of the beast with relative ease

"You're method is a bit rushed in places but your skill is impressive"

He starts to notice you around now on jobs, usually acting as medic to the locals

You once tried to patch him up and even though he knew he didn't need it, he let you wrap up his forearm

He loves to watch you take down a demon from a distance and with some convincing, he eventually asks if you'll join DMC

For the benefit of the company of course, not because he wants to get close to you

Nero

Like his uncle, he gets beat up a fair bit from time to time

While on the ground trying to recover from a particularly taxing demon fight, Nero finds you staring down at him

You were bandaging one of his wounds

He didn't stop you despite his demon heritage already closing up the wound under the white cotton

"Are you and angel?" "No, but I can be if that helps you heal faster"

Nero's a little too distracted to notice the demon approaching

Before he can warn you, you're already up and cutting the demon apart with a short sword Nero didn't even notice you had on you

When you return to take care of Nero again, he's just staring at you amazed

"You're incredible" "Yeah, I guess I know a thing or two"

You end up joining him at DMC Mobile

Demon Boys Grow Out Their Hair

Dante

He already grows out his hair a fair bit and honestly, I think it's because he's too lazy to go out and get it cut regularly. The longest it has been was a little past his shoulder blades. He was just going to start tying it back until he got tired of doing that and eventually cut it.

Vergil

The man already doesn't like having his hair down so the idea of growing out his hair just isn't in the cards for him. And no, we don't talk about V and his long emo bangs. Vergil will never bring it up. It's probably the only time his hair will ever be long. He cuts it immediately if it gets past a length he likes.

Nero

Nero has had long hair (DMC4) and it's ok. He definitely chalks it up to having an emo phase during his delinquent teen era because he doesn't want to admit to liking the bangs. Nero paced the entryway of his soon-to-be wife's family home. His nerves were getting the best of him, causing him to be a flustered and sweaty mess. He walked over to the piano, his fingers finding a home upon the ivory. He sits, playing a tune he's been playing since birth it seemed. His father was one for playing an instrument, pushing the boy to do the same. While it was no violin like his father and brother learned to play, it was still a classical instrument and Vergil would allow it.

From the corner of his eye, Nero sees a figure standing next to him now. With a sharp inhale, he jumps, himself and the piano seat crashing to the ground. He quickly picks himself up, putting the piano seat back before taking a few steps back from the piano.

"Forgive me," Nero stutters.

"You play beautifully," Kyrie says.

"Oh why thank you," Nero replies.

"Father never let me learn," Kyrie says, sitting down on the bench. She places a hand on the keys, pressing down on a few of the keys into a simple melody before putting her hand back in her lap. "Said it was improper for a young lady. Too passionate."

Nero hesitates before sitting down next to her. "It's simple really." He puts a hand on the keys, playing the melody from before.

Kyrie watched, mimicking the same movements with her own hand. Nero plays another portion of the melody, Kyrie following his lead. Nero looks at her, finding a smile on her face that causes his own the spread across his.

"What is this!?"

The two turn to find Kyrie's father standing at the end of the steps, her mother just behind him.

"Kyrie! You know you can't be alone with him until you are wed!" her mother says, running over to pull her daughter up from the piano bench.

"We were only playing the piano," Kyrie says.

"Playing the piano," her father grumbles.

Entering from one of the side halls comes Nero's own father and brother, his father wearing his own glare.

"Boy, I thought we talked about this," Vergil says.

"Sorry father," Nero replies. The young man gets up from the piano bench, softly pushing it under the piano before turning and bowing to Kyrie's parents.

"Forgive me for my behavior," Nero says.

"We'll see about that boy," Kyrie's father says.

"Father," Kyrie hisses, softly swatting his arm. "He's done nothing wrong."

The man turns to her, glaring. "You are too young to believe that."

Kyrie's mother turns the girl, pushing her down the hall as she complains to her mother, her father behind them. She simply nods to what her daughter says as they disappear from view.

Nero stands back up, watching the family leave the entryway. Once they've left he turns to face his father. He slowly walks up to the man, the disapproving look on his face never left.

"The Fool shall not enter into Heaven let him be ever so Holy," V teases once his brother is in front of him and their father.

"Vitale," his father warns.

The smaller male doesn't say more but stands by his words.

Nero bows his head to his father after sending his brother a subtly pointed glare.

Vergil looks between his sons, watching them for a moment before speaking. "Come. You must be at rehearsal."

"With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way in darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine," the priest says. "Let's try it again."

"With this candle," Nero begins. He holds his own slim candle stick up to the main one, trying to light the wick but it doesn't seem to take.

"W-with this candle." He tries again only to be met with failure again.

Nero looks back to Kyrie, the woman giving him a soft smile in return. He took a deep breath before trying to light his candle once more. When it takes, he steps back to her side.

The sound of the doorbell going off halts the rehearsal. Stepping into the chapel came an unknown man to either of the families.

"A Lord Agnus, sir," their butler says, handing Kyrie's father a card.

"I seem to be a bit early. My apologies, for I haven't a head for dates," Lord Agnus says upon walking in.

Kyrie's father glances at the man before having the butler get a chair for the man to sit among them.

"Do carry on," the man says.

They try going through the vows once more only for Nero to mess up once more.

"Do you not wish to be married Master Sparda?" the priest asks.

"No, no!" Nero frantically replies.

"You do not?" Kyrie asks.

"No! I mean no as in I do not, not wish to be married, as in I very much want to be," Nero tries to explain.

"Pay attention!" the priest bellows. "Did you even remember to bring the ring?"

"The ring! Of course!" As Nero takes a ring out from one of his pockets, he immediately drops it.

"Dropping the ring! This boy doesn't want to be married!" the priest says. "This wedding cannot take place until he is properly prepared!"

The priest turns to Nero who'd curled into himself. "Memorize your vows."

During the Holidays...

Nero wears a Santa hat when he visits the orphanage. Kyrie has a matching one.

Kyrie always sponsors fun games and charities for the orphanage. Nero funds them.

Nero decorates the outside of the house since he can stand the cold weather. Kyrie decorates the inside of the house.

Kyrie bakes wonderful treats throughout the holidays. Nero is her taste tester.

Nero dresses up and goes to his family's Christmas party. Kyrie is the one who convinced him to.

Kyrie wraps the presents. Nero hands her the tape, holds down the folds and writes people's names on them.

Nero always buys Kyrie something nice and expensive for Christmas. She tells him he doesn't have to but he does.

Kyrie has been known to send Vergil and Dante some of the treats she's made. Nero is often the one taking them over there which leads to family bonding.

Nero loves spending the holidays with Kyrie. She loves seeing him spend it with his family.
