“Attention” overhaul/Chisaki Kai x reader fic

After a eternity of paper work to do, Chisaki felt like a weight has gone away of his shoulders. Sighing softly through his plague mask, he made his way to his own dorm which he was already expecting your presence. To him you were a rare exception to this world full of dust and sickness. How could you not? Quirkless, thought that this society was pretty much fucked up already, you were almost perfect. Even with your flaws, Chisaki found himself, as many people say, “Head over heels for you” but sure, never he would say that out loud.

He was expecting you to try to hug him as welcome, he could love you, but hell at least let him checked If you were clean of any dicease (what? His is a germophobic bastard (Y/N) what you were expecting?). But he was surprised by the fact that was total silence, not event a “sweet welcome back” with that angelic voice of yours… He take It off his mask to put his ocasional black one and started to explore the room looking for any hint of you.

“(Y/N)?” He called once, he called twice… Nothing. “Where the hell did you go?” He thought…

Soon all his wory was replaced by relieved and a little bit of annoyed when he found you with your phone listening to music while you were writing something he couldn’t see It very well for the fact that you were with your back turned towards him.

You were so shocked that you even forget what you were reading, after all, see Overhaul hugging out of nowhere wasn’t normal. Chisaki was surprised by his behavior too but he was also tired of not getting what he was expecting.

When he finally made eye contact with you, you decided to talk.

“Kai…? Are… You ok?” he returned his attention to your hands while nodding. Soon he noticed your smile on your face before closing your notebook and packed up your other suplies. He now was grinning, even with his mask, you could noticed his happiness which made you giggled a little more. Standing up from your chair you envelop him in your arms while nuzzling in his neck. He awkwardly wrapped an arm around your waist while the other caressed your hair.

You breathed in his scent happily before speaking again:

“I’m sorry, how was your day?” he only shrugged while supported the side of his head on yours.

“Paperwork sucks” he said gaining a small laugh from you and a chucke of his.

“I guess I can take a break too now… Wanna lay down with me?”

He thought that his smile couldn’t get any bigger before that, he breathed happily before answering.

“Not So Friendly”

Yandere! Kai Chisaki x Reader x Toya Setsuno

It had been two or three years since you had seen him, Overhaul that is.

Perched on your seat with a cup of coffee between your fingers, you watched the television. Shoulders shaking a little from the cool bite of your apartment. It’s true that Chisaki treated you terrible, but at least he could afford a home for the two of you. It’s okay though, you and Toya were getting closer to buying the home the two of you really wanted.

Your scrubs were dark in color, and the sun was just now starting to peak over the horizon, highlighting them as you rose from your seat. Your quirk allowed you to have this job, taking their illnesses and putting them on yourself, you couldn’t die from them (or at least you didn’t think you could), but it made you an excellent nurse; You could remember Chisaki saying something about your quirk. It was back when the two of you were actually together, loving, and most importantly, not abusive. “Your quirk is going to help me... and the others so much.” You realize now he only meant himself. You were only supposed to heal him, fix him, and you were the only person he would let close enough to do that; You could imagine how enraged he was when he found out his personal nurse was missing with one of his subordinates.

Toya knew he would be enraged. Hell, it hurt Toya himself that he betrayed Overhaul in such a way, but he couldn’t watch you suffer the way you were. He had never seen you so happy when he took you away from the grip of the much angrier man. He only meant to bring you away for a time so you could be free, but he himself fell head-over-heels. Hell, he was even doing hero work now, and he switched just for you. To help the both of you, to support the both of you. He didn’t have any regrets anymore, he used to of course, but that was two years ago. He adored you and tried his best to make ends meet, and you were both so close to getting out of the ruddy apartment the two of you had to stay in.

Toya was wary of what he’s doing, he always is. He was positive that he saw him. Overhaul. There’s no reason for him to be so far out this way, no reason except for you. Of course he was searching for you, he hated it when his possessions were taken from him, especially the ones he truly valued. Toya could feel his heart ache at the idea of him getting his globed hands on you again, he couldn’t bare the thoughts it brought along with it. You suffered when you were with Overhaul, and he couldn’t risk you going back to that pitiful state. He almost jumped out of his skin when a fist met his face, and then he knew he was going to get hurt.

His body crashed into the asphalt from the force, even if he was quick to recover. He hadn’t seen Overhaul in a long time, but he was still just as intimidating as he was two years ago. His eyes are squinted down at Toya, his hands balling into fists before they release again. Calming himself enough to speak, or mumble.

“If you tell me where they are I might just let you live, Setsuno.” His voice is slightly muffled from under his mask, and Toya wished he had something a lot less intimidating on. He knew it was true though, this was a bad match-up and he knew it. “You can’t- just take them back after how you treated them- abused them- could you not see how desperate they were to get away from you?” He backed up when Chisaki stepped forward, knowing for a fact that close range would get him killed. All Chisaki needed was one solid touch and he’d die then and there.

And he did.

Overhaul is a whole lot smarter then his subordinates, and the passion of finding you raging in his lungs distracted him from the bloody lesions on his arms and face, his gloves ripped to shreds and his shirt rather soaked with a mix of both his and Setsuno’s blood. The poor blonde laid in the alleyway, his hair caked in what looked black in the darker light. Chisaki would have prefered to get ahold of him in the dark, but this would be fine. He sank to his knees beside him, shoving his hands into the pockets of the man in search of his phone, his eyes almost softening when he found it, even if it was covered in blood he was too desperate to get ahold of you to think about it. Tracking apps really were useful in this turn of the century, he only had to note the name of the clinic.

You’re cleaning when he comes in, scrubbing down a room before being told another patient is there for you. It’s not uncommon for them to ask for you after all, you’re considered popular when it comes to this kind of thing. So taking a clipboard you take note that this isn’t a usual visit, noone whose came before. Not even the name rings a bell as you sanitize your hands and start walking back to the room he was in, your heart jumps into your throat when you see him. He’s messing with the sink, scrubbing his skin as best he can. He looks over his shoulder for a moment and almost jumps when he sees you, his brows raising, “I didn’t think you actually worked here- how are you?”

You’re not sure how to respond, staring at him from the door way before gulping a bit, “I’m- fine. Chisaki.” He raised after that rubbing his arms dry with a paper towel, “it’s good to see you- I actually had something I wanted to say- oh but first i’ve got an issue. I... got pretty beat up.” He wasn’t wrong, as you looked him up and down you noted his lack of a mask and the blooming bruises all over his face, his skin marred and torn, “Sit down.” He raised his brows at your demand, but soon enough he was perched on the table, watching you as you approached, reaching out- just for him to snag your wrist, “wash your hands.”

That’s right, you almost forgot with the fear that built up in you, pulling your hand away from him to go and do as you were told. You could feel his eyes boring into you at this point, his shoulders rolling as he huffed.

“What- happened to you?”

“Is it not obvious? I got into a fight with a pro-hero and got my ass handed to me.” His brows furrowed again, and you almost expected him to leap off of his seat and begin choking you in a fit of rage. “Oh.”

The rest of the exam was in silence as you patched him up, his skin quivering at the cold of your hands before he turned around, he seemed so much friendlier in the moment, “I’d like you to come back to the agency- I already asked Setsuno to head there... I know your living conditions haven’t been the best- and I know I haven’t been the friendliest to you, but I don’t want the two of you falling into the sickness-“

“I get it Chisaki. You don’t have to go on a tangent... but... I mean it doesn’t sound bad.” Your eyes drift off to the side some, “If Setsuno went then I guess I ought to come with.”

“That’s right- I don’t think you’d make it out here without someone to support you, even with this job, pro heroes are the one making the money. Come on we can go together, alright?”

“No- you have to promise me first. You’re not going to lie a finger on me the way you used to. You’re not-“

It was easier then he thought it would be, a smirk pulling on his lip before sighing, watching you leave with a not so friendly look in his eyes.

He was prepared for you to sink into the passenger seat of his car, it wasn’t unusual either. You almost melted at the familiar feeling, if it wasn’t for the man getting in beside you and reaching over to the glovebox you would have stayed at ease too, almost expecting him to strike you before you calmed down, watching him open the glovebox to search for one of his many black masks. It was an obsession of his, as he was a germaphobe in every sense of the word.

“How’d you even find Toya?”

“He was patrolling and we happened to bump into one another... after he walked away I ended up getting beat up by some sick ‘hero’.” He shook his head as he started the car, beginning to drive in silence.

“Chisaki I’m still- upset about what you did to me.”

He was almost shocked at your bravery to talk to him about this alone. It sent shivers up his back, he’d have to fix your new-found confidence, and soon too.

“I know... It’s not fair how I treated you, but i’m trying to make it right. I just hope you’ll forgive me.” His eyes drifted to you for a moment before snapping back to the road, “Toya seemed horrified when we bumped into one another- I think he thought I was going to rip him to shreds... I’d never- not in daylight at least.”

That confidence of yours is most definitely getting on his nerves. He hates it with a passion, and it’s Toya’s fault you’re brave enough to talk to him like this. The rest of the ride was filled with silence, though every so often Chisaki would continue some of his delusional rambling about the sickness of the world and how he planned to fix it for the greater good. It was warm in his car, the heated seats keeping you from leaping off the leather, and you held your seatbelt close to your chest, “Is Eri-“

“Hush. You’ll see her and Toya when we get there.” He almost snapped at you, catching himself before he truly got a chance to go off on you. He can’t scare you yet, it’d be cruel to make you ride with him like that. Even if he did want you to learn your lesson. “Okay...” your voice was quiet, he hoped you were thinking about everything he’s done. He hoped you were shaking from fear and not the cold of the outdoors, he wanted you to be horrified of what he had in store for you. Soon enough though, the familiar gate to the agency came into view, and he watched as you sank into the seat a little bit, averting your eyes out the window rather then looking at him or the building. Slipping out of the car was even worse, Overhaul coming and taking what little things you had brought with you out of your hands. “You know I actually quite like how scrubs look on you, maybe you should think about wearing them more often.”

“They’re- nice looking, but they’re freezing too...”

Kai Chisaki doesn't know how it feels to be loved

You guys ever heard of "is better be terrified by others than loved"? That's the mentality that Kai has to himself.

By theories Chisaki treated Eri the way he did because he had to endure the same, or even worst, thing from his own biological parents. Is not a problem that he doesn't feel, is a matter that he doesn't know how to love neither how it is to be loved.

After Pops took him in on the yakusa, he has the mentality that even despite the old man having a kind heart, that Pops EXPECTS him to repay him. That's why he is so obsessive with repaying his kindness.

Kai shows that he believes that on many parts of the arc. In his vocabulary is always "we own you certain thing" or "Repay". Pops was kind and all, but Kai was still raised inside the yakusa, where is not a total healthy espace where a child, whose already suffered abuse and was abandoned on the streets, should grow up. His survival instincts didn't catch the morals because they "weren't necessary" for help him to still be alive or get stronger.

Chisaki also has his mysophobia/germophobia; which surely doesn't help that he gets any sorta of lovingly human contact skin to skin. Because he despises the idea of getting sick.

I have a headcanon that Kai's immune system is equal of a toddler. As a child he got constantly sick, so he despises the idea of going into hospitals where it has more sickness to spread.

This factors all lrevent Kai to have a health relationship with anyone in general. He fears intimacy because of his trusts issues, yet he fears to be left alone to dust like he was once as a kiddo as it shows when Pops asks if he lost his humanity.

Chisaki went insane after Pops told him to leave. Because the only person whose was kind to him was asking for him to leave just because, in his head, he was trying to help him.

He used the overhaul to put Pops on coma out of desperation. Because he couldn't take that his only father figure gotten dissapointed at him and just left him on the shadows.

Chisaki Kai is a broken soul. He doesn't know how it is to feel happy or loved because never on his childhood days he were. That's why he treats everyone the way he does.

If subbordinates doesn't abandoned him and respects him by fear? So be it. Is better than being ignored and left alone.

Yet he doesn't want any close contact because this man is terrified of being vulnerable and getting stabbed in the back when he least expects it.

A relationship with Chisaki at the start would be very distant and complicated. Yet he would spoil you endless because he doesn't want to lose the control, he doesn't want you to leave him.

By all means, if you manage to break the huge and thick barrier that has around Kai, you will discover a depressed, lonely souls with trust and abandonment issues that followed him from his childhood days to the Overhaul era.

Ep 1: What Remains

Here’s the first story. About what happens after Chisaki has brought you in.

If you haven’t read the parts in order! You should ❤️ but if you don’t want to then here’s the short explanation:

Your in a my hero academia x Demon slayer world. And Kai faked his death. Your pissed. But you told him you wouldn’t leave him as long as he doesn’t hurt anyone. Now this.

Chisaki brought you inside. He showed you to your room. You could tell under the mask that Chisaki wasn’t aware how childish he was as he explained where you would be staying. You where so used to his nonchalant deep voice that when you saw a smirk form under his mask since his eyes arched up. You where taken a back. ‘So possessive and now you act like this?’ You sighed loudly in your head. This is for Tanjiro and Nezuko, and the other yellow guy. You need to keep Chisaki at bay. Or he’ll kill them. Or even worse. Your family. Or even...crap... wait.... did you break up with your past boyfriend at all? Your pretty sure you did but you think you just left him. Oh well. What Chisaki doesn’t know won’t hurt him. You snap back to reality as Chisaki stands in front of you as your going deep into thought on the bed. “Whats wrong?” His voice went to its normal deep tone. You knew better than to say something as stupid as “thinking about my ex.” So you simply just pathetically smiled and shrugged. Not wanting to make him angry. He sighed and sat down next to you. Here comes the gaslighting. God how you hated that he didn’t wear his mask around you. You where actually nervous seeing his face revealed. You couldn’t tell him you where thinking about Tanjiro. You literally just sacrificed yourself for him. He saw you in a internal panic and pat your head. Boss had done it for him so many times. He thought you deserved a least a little touch. His precious Angel deserves everything. Except being away from him for even a day.

“K-Kai...” You began to blush. Gently trying to get his arm off. He was in a calm mood now. Now that you had agreed to stay with him. How could he stay mad at you? “What is it, Angel?” You Where left clinging to the arm that was on top of your soft h/c hair. He shook it more before he crouched down. Taking in every moment of your shy face. “Are you hungry?” Want to eat?” You didn’t have anything else to do but you hated eating with Chisaki. Maybe if he was in a good mood. He’d actually let you eat what you wanted. Boy where you wrong.

Chisaki practically dressed you up as a doll and made sure you took off and wore the dress he got you in front of him. His soft smile eased the tension a little. But that didn’t stop you from getting it on quickly and muttering our the door. Chisaki following after. Chrono stood there in shock. At the edge of the table. Expecting to see Kai’s demon form. Thinking that he had killed you or something.

“Chrono.” Chisaki’s smile faded as he waved his hand for you to go sit at the table while they talked. It was a small kitchen. Connected to the place where Kai played Shoji. You had heard him once talk with a raspy voiced man. Who told him he wasn’t an ant. And then Chisaki realized you where in the kitchen. And overhauled you. That’s probably why you where mad he made a clone of himself because the demon slayers where coming. He overhauled you. He made you forget. But it was for your “safety” to him. You walked into the kitchen and sat at the table. You should have known. You looked down and saw a healthy four course meal in front of you. You let out a ‘tsk’ and went for the fridge. Stealing a roll and a poptart for later. You sat down. You where here long enough that you didn’t care if you got overhauled or put to sleep. What mattered to you was that got at least some sugar once in a while. You sat and overheard Kai and Chrono’s conversation. You saw feathers appear outside the door less entrance. Chisaki was getting pissed. He was turning into his demon form right in front of Chrono. How intimidating. ‘Poor Chrono.” You thought before taking another bite of your poptart. Ignoring the healthy food on your plate.

“Did you follow the order?”

“Yes Overhaul.” They where run out...”

“....run out?? You didn’t kill them?”

“Those where your order-“

A hiss was heard as you already imagined him in his demon form. Sharp teeth appearing through his plague mask. You shook in your chair. Frozen as shouts where heard before Chisaki calmly entered the room your in. Wiping off any access feathers from his demon form as he calmed down.

He froze mid swipe. Watching you eye him as you ate a poptart.

“What....how did you even get that?”

“.............Fridge was open... Overhaul me if you want.” Actually. Let me die.”

He sighed and pulled in his chair. On any other day. He would lecture you and Overhaul you or torture you for doing so. But he just wanted you to himself for a day. Was that too much to ask?

You saw the vains appearing on his forehead as he faked a smile.

“darling. Why don’t you eat something healthy...okay?”

“Eat shit.”

He snapped and grabbed onto your neck. Letting everything in his mind spill out. “What about me being your dear demon huh?” The feathers formed around him and he sighed. Sitting back down. “I just wanted you for the day my angel.” That’s all.” He sounded pissed. Like a child that didn’t get his toy. You where hurt but you also felt bad. You sighed and placed your poptart to the side. Eating whatever weird substance he put on your plate and deemed it “healthy”.

You could tell he was smirking under his mask. He took advantage of how much you used to like him. “Cocky bastard. I’m going to stab you with this fork-.’

He leaned into the table. Making your vicious thoughts stop immediately. “So... what would you like to do today Angel?” It will be just me and you while Chrono finishes some business.”

You knew exactly what Chrono was doing. But if you mentioned it. You could no longer fulfill your plan of using this cheery overhaul for the day.

You placed down your fork. “Go fuck you- actually..... there is something... I want to do.”

He leaned in. Closing his eyes for the full affect. “Anything angel. It’s our day today I suppose.”

“I want to go outside-.”

“Pardon?”

“Is the room ready Chrono?” Kai asked as he walked down the corridor. The sound of his shoes hitting the tile floor, making his footsteps wing through the entire compound.

“Yes Overhaul, the room’s all ready.” Chrono answered as he walked behind Kai. He was a little skeptical about the whole ordeal but would much rather have you then the one that Kai has now.

“Good.” Kai smiled under his mask. Your room was ready for you to come back and stay there. You were coming back to him and away from that scum. You would be much safer here where your pure body would not be tainted by the outside world anymore.

Kai had stopped right in front of the door of your soon to be new room. It had everything except things to contact anyone of course. You had the most expensive clothes and jewelry. Your bed was highly recommended, a desk and everything you could ever ask for. You would never need to leave your room.

Overhaul x Reader who wants to go to a Petting Zoo

“DIGUSTING.” Overhaul said almost immediately after the proposition. Both you and Chisaki where sitting on the bed. He scooted immediately over to his side as you made your request. He would take you to a five star restaurant. The most expensive cruise. But never. A place where you touched filthy animals with your angelic hands.

You pouted as you went quickly to his side. Clinging to his arm. “But...I want to see sheep! And goats! Maybe even bunnies?” You got happy even talking about seeing animals. You where ready to straight up pet some animals. Whether or not Overhaul said yes.

“No. It’s filthy. Disgusting even. We don’t have a pet for a reason.” He sighed. Trying to get off the bed. You wrapped your arms around his chest. Causing him to flinch. He didn’t mind the arm. But this was new. Physical contact wasn’t his thing after all. He began to blush as you begged. “That’s the reason I want to go see animals Kai!” Just this once?” You whimpered more as he tried to pull out of your grasp. He pinched his eyebrows together and finally his tenseness went away as he saw your desperate expression. He sighed loudly. “If you don’t wear gloves where coming back immediately.” You shrieked in joy as you got up to get ready. Kai had asked later that day if Chrono knew of any petting zoos. Chrono about dropped whatever he was holding. But looked at you behind Kai getting all giddy and put the puzzle pieces together.

You made it the petting zoo. Kai was in his normal black tux and gloves. Complaing how shitty the farm smelled as usual. Making some little kids around cry as they saw his scary expression and sharp eyes. “Why are there so many brats here?” He said annoyed. “I’m not sure but-.” As you where talking to Kai. You gasped and ran towards the sheep. Watching them eat grass. The worker next to you came up to you and told you that you could pet it. You smiled before reaching out to it. Your hand was firmly stopped as your boyfriend grabbed it and held it up. Making the worker flinch as he saw a quite pissed off Overhaul. He backed away as Kai said nothing and slipped a glove on your hand. He dropped it and nudged it towards the sheep. “Angel... do you really have to?” What a boring thing..” You chuckled at your nervous boyfriend. The worker approached you slowly making sure to not look Kai in the eyes. “Um- y-you can just pat its woo-wool?” You nodded happily and pat it on the head. “So fluffy!” You beamed. Kai flinched as you rubbed your hand on its filthy wool. His eyes narrowed and then softened as he saw your expression.

His eyes snapped back when he realized you where eyeing him down. Smirking at how much he loved to watch you smile at the sheep. Even feeling a little jealous. “Want to pet him Kai?” “No.” He said immediately returning to his cold stone figure. The worker by this point just handed you extra gloves in case and went to go help someone else. “It will bite me.”

“It’s eating grass- Kai where are you going?”

“Waiting in the car y/n.” -

“The great Overhaul can’t do this?” You teased

The sheep let out a baa and Chisaki stood there frozen. “Did you just insult me?” He turned back around and eyed the creature. Raising his hand over its head

Overhaul went to your side and flinched as you slowly dragged his hand on top of it. You felt his body began to shake until finally he was patting the top of its head. “So... what do you think?”

Overhaul’s eyes relaxed as the sheep kept eating grass. “I....hate it.” He lied. You smiled and pecked him on the cheek. Making it all worth it for him. “He still is filthy...but... I suppose it’s cute... reminds me of you...”

“Kai!” You whined.

“I’m simply stating facts Angel....”

“So....want to get a sheep?”

“No....but we can come back another time....no before we go... what else do you want to see?”

“The pigs!”

“where going home-.”
