Sunny, in Basil's hospital room with everyone: I killed Mari. On the morning of the recital I... I was upset, and broke my violin on purpose. Mari saw what happened, and she and I began to argue. I panicked and... and I pushed her down the stairs. She died. Basil saw everything. We didn't know what to do, so we tried waiting until she woke up but... she didn't. Basil had the idea to hide everything--I was scared, so I trusted him. I don't think I was even in my own head anymore, at this point. Basil was just doing what he thought was right...! He didn't want to lose anyone else, which is why things turned out... the way they did. I'm... I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry for hiding all of this from you, for lying for four years... Neither of us wanted anyone to get more hurt than they already were. It's... okay if you don't forgive us. You don't have to. I just... it's better if you know. Lying about it would just hurt more. Decided to start drawing

I think I explained it kinda badly in this post but maybe the art clears it up a little? Oh also stranger is here. Say hello to stranger guys :)

Out of the three main “new fears” I had ideas for it may have been a bad idea to do this one first because it took AGES to draw

But anyway, this is Malice! It takes the form of Kel and Hero (not for any reason just because the other two were taken), it represents Sunny’s fear that he’s a bad person and just faking his struggles for sympathy <3

I’m very aware its anatomy doesn’t make sense but …. Idk. It’s a nightmare monster what do you want from me (except the hand the hand is supposed to look like that) .. anyway Sunny buddy your hospital fever dream monsters are frightening

(Oh by the way, I went in and changed this a little so if you saw this before the edit. no you didn’t)

Just thought of an omori au about Sunny’s recovery (mental and physical) after the incident and the truth where during his stay in the hospital he finds himself back in headspace … but now that he’s stopped holding it together as a coping mechanism it becomes distorted and frightening (basically the worlds of headspace begin falling apart as bits of blackspace seep through into Sunny’s dreams. New fears based on his new real life experiences)

I wanna make designs for this idea… my thought is that they’d be fear-ified versions of his friends each representing a more complex and destructive type of fear then before, I already had ideas for what I’d do for Basil, Hero and Kel.. I’m a little stumped on Aubrey but I’m working it out as I type this …. Sketches soon perhaps

#I think these new fears having taken the forms of Sunny’s friends would represent … #Burden. Malice. and Rejection #aka. Sunny’s fear that his greif will result in him hurting his friends #Sunny’s fear that he’s a bad person and he actually MEANT to hurt Mari #and Sunny’s fear that his friends will never forgive him and that he’ll be followed by his actions forever #and yes I had to fuse kel and hero for the malice one because I couldn’t come up with four #and it’s more thematic because there’s three original fears too- #so !!! yeah!!! #anyway. sketches for these pending #it may perhaps be monster desgin time!! #after I take a shower and eat dinner…. so maybe tomorrow? but it’s Friday so maybe just really late tonight? #idk #anyway!!!
