Angel Dust's relationship with Emily and Velvette?

Ohh! This is a very cute one. Because Angel ADORES Emily and because of that he becomes closer to Velvette. I have mentioned briefly Angel Dust and Velvette's relationship here. So to start with, before meeting Emily, they were friendly acquaintances.

They met one day when Angel was filming in Valentino's studio. On one of those horrible days, Valentino was being more of an asshole than usual, and Angel was having a terrible moment. But then Velvette came furious to the studio, and the first thing that she said when opening the door was a very loud "VALENTINO"

Valentino never changed his expression to terrified so fast lmao. It was amusing seeing that someone, for once, could put Valentino in his place. It was very funny to see Velvette being so pissed, demanding a lot of things and Valentino not fighting back, asking for forgiveness with his head low. It was one of the funniest things Angel had ever seen, and he liked Velvette for being the only person he knew who was capable of making Valentino look so miserable.

Of course, Velvette knew about Angel, because Valentino never shuts up about him and because well, is basically impossible being so close to Valentino and not having seen some of his movies. She doesn't pay that much attention to Angel, even if sometimes she is like "okay what the actual fuck" when seeing the movies, that is Valentino's business and he knows better how to handle it.

So they met officially that day (Valentino introduced Velvette to Angel once she calmed down), and since that day they have been friendly with each other. When Velvette goes to the studio, they greet each other. Velvette still doesn't think much about Angel and Angel just likes her a little more because of her capacity to shut Valentino up. If they run into a club, they will probably drink something together a talk a little, but not so much more.

All said and done, not because Angel likes Velvette a little more, he believes she should be trusted. In fact, he is very against the idea of Velvette spending time in the hotel. He knows where Velvette's loyalties are, and not because she is more relaxed than Valentino and Vox, it means that she won't destroy anyone who gets in her way. In fact, he considers Velvette the most dangerous Vee, and that she could ruin everything in seconds. So he is very wary of her. It's not as if Velvette blames him, in fact, she thinks that he is very clever for not trusting her.

Still, the more Velvette spends in the hotel, the better Angel and her get along. Angel never lets his guard down around her, and Velvette never tells him what she is thinking, but they can joke, gossip, and laugh. Their relationship changes even more for the better thanks to Emily.

As I said, Angel ADORES Emily, although he felt a little intimidated by her when they first met.

When Emily met Angel for the first time (before falling) she was a like fangirl meeting her idol. Okay, maybe not that extreme. But she was very excited to meet him. Not only because of everything she saw in court, but also because of the stories that Pentious told her about Angel. She was very happy to meet one of the demon souls redeeming.

Angel was like "the what now" at first because in his eyes, he is nothing special and is not really becoming a better person (he is, he just doesn´t see it) so he was a little uncomfortable at first. But Emily's joyfulness is contagious, and she is so sweet that Angel starts to like her in a matter of hours.

Emily is one of those people Angel doesn't want getting fucked like he was. She is very innocent, and lovely, seeing how horrible the world is suddenly would destroy her, so he tries to show it to her slowly. He doesn't overprotect her, but he is always looking out for her and does everything he can to keep her out of trouble, and more importantly, to keep trouble out of reaching her. With Emily, he tries to not make jokes that could make her uncomfortable and does take her to see the nice places in hell, trying not to expose her that much to violence, blood, and killing, at least, not so suddenly.

This is one of the reasons he doesn't like to talk much about his life with her. He doesn't want her to... well, know about the things that Valentino has done. He believes it will be too much for her. But Emily can see him troubled, and there is nothing that breaks her heart more than seeing a friend suffering. So eventually Angel tells her, but little by a little, not just telling her straight the whole truth. That's the way Angel figures out the best to show Emily the worst in humankind, step by step, in a way that she can assimilate and is not too impactful to her. This way actually works a lot, because Emily is not a child, she can comprehend how horrible is the world, but, if you show someone who only has seen light, the darkness completely, you will break her, so you have to do it slowly. So Angel is one of the people who help her to understand hell and guide her through it the most, and because of that, they become best friends.

Still, nothing Angel did could have prepared Emily for the pain of becoming a fallen angel. Emily has to face how awful Heaven can be, as well as really learning how to live in hell. There is so much change in so little time.

Angel, alongside with Vaggie, is the one who helps Emily to adapt to hell the most. But while Vaggie teaches her how to be safe in hell, Angel teaches Emily how to have fun in hell. He is the one who tries to cheer up Emily the most when she is gloomy. Angel tries to take her to places he thinks Emily would enjoy (he is more considerate with Emily's feelings than he is with anyone else), so he takes her mostly to chill parties or to bars he knows are not that dangerous (because Angel is still Angel). And this is very good, because Emily loves parties too.

They also like to try new hobbies together, much to the rest of the hotel despair. Cooking together, painting, practicing make-up and hairdressing. Sometimes they even drag anyone they see in the hotel to be the next victim of their new hobby (Charlie, Lucifer and Niffty are happy, the rest not so much). Spending time with Angel helps Emily to feel much better.

Like, everyone tries to do their part to help Emily to feel good again, but the one who succeeds the most (apart from Velvette), is Angel. That's the reason why Emily, despite thinking everyone in the hotel as the family, is closer to Angel. Angel also loves her so much, maybe because Emily sort of reminds her of Molly. Both of them were the purest, nicests beings, who didn't deserve the darkness of the world.

So that's the context before Angelic Vogue starts dating. Specially when Emily falls, Velvette comes more and more to the hotel. And when Vaggie doesn't have an eye on Velvette, Angel does, and Emily knew they weren't that close, but she never cared until then.

Before, even when Velvette came from time to time to the hotel, they still just greeted the other, but now Emily basically is making them being friends, she wants to hang out with them more that with anyone, because they are the two people that make her happier. So they have to start talking, trying to be more than just acquitances. And by doing so, Angel and Velvette discover they have a lot in common.

Velvette and Angel would absolutely bond through gossip, and criticize some demons. Emily doesn't like it that much, but if it helps them to be friends, she won't interfere. Other things that Velvette and Angel share is the amount of beauty products they have, they like to share beauty tips. Even jokes is something they have in common, they laugh a lot together, sometimes saying jokes the rest don't understand what is so funny.

But they are also so competitive, so it's a mess when they, lets say, the hotel gang is having a game night. Velvette hates to loose, and Angel does to, so it's very chaotic because of them will do anything to win.

I also think that when they become closer, Angel would love to tease Velvette and viceversa. They will mock each other, but in a friendly way, and because both of them are competetive, that will show constantly and will constantly bicker of who is right in the most stupid things. But still, everything as very good friends.... which creates problems itself.

"Valentino did that to Angel?" "Don't pretend you didn't know how horrible is your fucking friend" "...no, I knew how he could be sometimes. It's just that he never did anything to someone I care about before"

Velvette will have to make a decision. She can't play both sides forever. Valentino or Angel? Closing her eyes and have something stable or reflect about everything and have her life changing forever? Thou this problem will become more present once Emilette's starts dating. But that is for another post.

Angel is the very first to notice that Emily is in love with Velvette and viceversa, and HE IS SO STRESSED OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE SO FUCKING BLIND (even thou he is even blinder when it comes to Husk)

Because of Angel's personality, he will be very upfront with Emily. "Are you in love with doll face?" And Emily will know it's pointless to lie, so she would say yes and Angel will make his life goal to help her to be with Emily (because Emily helped him a lot with Husk and he wants to return the favor plus he loves her)

So they will make a lot of plans to try to conquer Velvette. Angel knows it's pointless because he also sees how down bad Velvette is for Emily but because of privacy he won't just straight tell Emily that, he has to give them time to confess at their own pace.

BUT ITS SO FRUSTRATING!!! Because Emily is constantly like "oh, do you think she would like to do this? What do you think she would prefer? Will Velvette like this?" And Angel is like... YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU WANT AND SHE WILL LOVE YOU EITHER WAY PLEASE NOTICE HOW SHE LOOKS AT YOU SHE IS ABOUT TO ASK YOUR HAND IN MARRIAGE YOU JUST HAVE TO MAKE VELVETTE ADMIT IT

Still, he loves to hear Emily talk about Velvette. When Emily spends time with her, she is always so happy, and goes straight to Angel to tell him everything and Angel happily listens.

Ah btw, Emily is not the only one who stresses him out. Velvette does too. Thanks to Husk (because Husk knows everything) he knows the doubts Velvette has and why she won't admit her feelings for Emily, as well as the fears she has about Emily not loving her. Husk would normally not tell about what he is told in private, but this surpasses him, he needs to complain with Angel and both of them are like WHY ARE THEY SO DUMB JUST CONFESS ALREADY AND KISS!!!!

So when Velvette and Emily are finally together Angel is like FUCKING FINALLY and even organizes a party to celebrate. Confetti and everything.

And now Emily went from "how do I conquer Velvette" to "what things do we do now that we are a couple?" and of course Angel helps her. But it's less stressing. Plus, he loves to give Emily ideas of the things they could do as a couple. Even the spicy ones (they have enough trust to talk about that, thou Angel still tries not to make her uncomfortable)

Ah but with Velvette? He will tease the shit out of her, always teling her things about Emily. "So how was your night doll-face?" "You are drolling just seeing Emily" and those sorts of things. Luckily, Velvette is pretty chill about that, and she doesn't shut up and teases Angel with Husk too. So it's a contest of who wan make the other flush more.

Angel is the vicepresident of Angelic Vogue ship club (president is Charlie). Emily is the president of HuskerDust ship club.

When Angel gets redeemed and has to go to Heaven, Emily gives him a diary that it's a guide of Heaven. Important things to know, where to go, what to do, who to talk to. She would have loved to guide him, to show him Heaven, so she hopes that diary would do that for him. And the first phrase in the diary was "I am so proud of you. Always remember that -Em"

But not even Heaven could separate them, they are family. So Angel comes to visit, and always brings gifts to Emily and Velvette.

He organized the party of Emilette's wedding. And he gave them a photography album that had some photos already, but had plenty of space for new photos too.

Headcanons about the Chaggie-Emilette group?

So Emily and her protection squad-

Sorry for how long it took to answer this, but thank you for asking anon!

And yes, basically Charlie, Vaggie and Velvette are the protection squad of Emily, and help her in different ways.

Charlie is the heart, she helps Emily to have a purpose, and encourages her not to lose faith or give up on her dreams.

Vaggie is the mind, she helps Emily to adapt to hell. Where to go, how to deal with demons, which measures take, etc. Vaggie is a guide through hell.

Velvette is the soul, it's due to her that Emily finds herself again, what kind of person (seraphim) she wants to be and what she really wants for her life.

These three would give their life for Emily, and are the ones that Emily feels more like a family. But it's a very messy family 😂

To begin with, Emily is sort of Miguel's daughter, so before fallings she calls Lucifer her "uncle", and calls Charlie her "cousin" (more it an affecionate way)

Vaggie on the other side is her sister. Maybe Emily is a seraph and Vaggie an ex-Exorcist, but Emily loves to call her sister (or sis, more specific, again, affecionate)

But then Emily falls and she gets adopted by Lucifer, so eventually she calls Charlie her sister too. I like to think that Emily sees Vaggie and Charlie truly as her sisters.

The same comes from Charlie and Vaggie, Emily becomes a sister to them.

But then Velvette comes to the picture, and she doesn't know how she fits in this family. Is she just the girlfriend of Emily? Is she really part of the family? Can she ask anything from Charlie ir Vaggie? Should she be away from them? Velvette has the hardest time becoming part of the family, and part of this is due to her own self doubts and not really believing that she should be part of that family.

Between Charlie and Vaggie, Vaggie is the one most reluctant to accept Velvette, mostly when she was still friends with Emily (because when Emilette starts dating, Velvette would have at least some trust of the hotel, but it's difficult at the beggining). So Vaggie always has an eye on Velvette, and is very skeptical of her. She thinks that Velvette means trouble, and she doesn't want Emily suffering. But when Emilette starts dating, Vaggie is chiller and friendlier with Velvette, she still has an eye on her but mostly because she is still a Vee and they can't never be too careful with the Vees as a whole, but outside of that, she likes Velvette and even cares for her. Eventually she won't have doubts about Velvette's feelings, would know for sure that she won't hurt Emily and will accept her completely, so Velvette will become one of the person she looks the most after (the other ones being Charlie and Emily, of course)

On the other side, Charlie is the one who tries the most to integrate Velvette, first to the hotel and then to the family. Like, before Emily and Velvette start dating, when they are friends, she invites Velvette to be in the hotel not like, a resident, but just to pass by and hang out. Then, when Emily and Velvette become a couple, Charlie is the most excited and is like "yup, you are part of mi family now, you are another sister and therefore I am going to treat you like one, OK?". She is still careful because again, Vees, but she is more welcoming and genuinely thinks that Velvette is not so bad, and that she is the best person for Emily.

Velvette has always had a fucked up family, and she already has a hard time accepting that someone like Emily loves her. So imagine what she feels like having Charlie treating her like a sister the moment she finds out she is dating Emily, being even more affecionate than she already was. And then Vaggie, who despite her doubts, cares about Velvette in her own way. She is like WAAAAAA. IS THIS A TRICK?!

But eventually Velvette will realize that no, it isn't a trick, and will accept the love she is being given by Chaggie and start to think them as family, I don't see Velvette calling her sister to either of them, but their relationship will be very sister like.

So yeah, is a situation of "the sister of my girlfriend is also my sister". Charlie and Emily are more vocal about it (Charlie calling Velvette sister, and Emily calling Vaggie sister, thou it's kinda of rare then because of messy families but nvm). And while Vaggie doesn't call neither Emily or Velvette sister, and Velvette doesn't call Charlie ir Vaggie sister, they definetly have that bond. Plus Lucifer is like "the girlfriends of my daughters are also my daughters what do you mean by that is not how it works" so yep.

Chaggie and Emilette are basically the royal couples of hell. And hang a lot together.

They even hanged out before Emily became a fallen angel. When Velvette was in the hotel the times that Emily was visiting, Charlie tried to encourage Emily and Velvette to set up their differences (because when they just met they had a lot of problems) and get along

But of course Vaggie was nervous to leave Emily alone with Velvette, so not wanting to let down the hopes of her girlfriend, she proposed that the four of them hanged out and Charlie thought it was BRILLIANT. And so that's was the predecessor for their double dates, and how the friendship between of them grew.

Of course Vaggie eventually trusts Velvette more and doesn't mind Velvette and Emily hanging out alone. But they still liked to hang out together, so... DOUBLE DATES!!! They love doing double dates, trying new things together.

Usually they take turns to choose, Chaggie chooses, then Angelic Vogue, then Chaggie, and so on. Somehow the spots that Angelic Vogue chooses end up being more chaotic, but they still have fun.

Their double dates include: going to La La Land, have picnics, shopping sessions, spa, do sports competitions, do high risk sports, go to a restaurant, pillow fight, camping, movie and boards game night.

When Velvette has problems with Emily, or doesn't know what to do about something, she usually goes to Vaggie for advice. Like she trusts Charlie a lot, but she is too optimistic, Vaggie is more pragmatic and Velvette has a better time with her advice.

But when looking forward to give Emily a surprise, Velvette always goes to Charlie for help and she is so happy to help! This happens viceversa too. Velvette and Charlie can spend HOURS looking for gifts, it's their favorite activity to do together.

One of the most fun times Vaggie and Velvette have is hearing Charlie and Emily sharing ideas to make something. They get so happy, they jump, and high five, and end the phrase of the other, and all Vaggie and Velvette can do is smile and think how lucky they are.

Vaggie and Emily have flying sessions together. Like of course they like to carry their respective girlfriend while flying, but that is more private, so Chaggie-Emilette has never had a double flying date. But Vaggie and Emily do enjoy flying together, compete or just have that freedom, and while waiting for them to come back, Charlie and Velvette talk.

What Emily loves to do with Charlie, outside of making plans for the hotel, is practicing magic. Emily basically has to relearn magic, and Charlie has never really got into learning how to control their powers, so they basically learn together. They pull pranks on the other, compete for who can do something best, teach the other, and overall have a fun time learning together.

Vaggie and Velvette like to train fighting together from time to time. Not that Velvette is super fond of fighting without reason, but their fighting styles are very different and thus, complementary. Vaggie is a meele fighter, while Velvette is a short distance figther and never uses her body to fight, just her weapon. So Vaggie focuses a lot on her opponent and ignores what happens around her, while Velvette is basically fucked if someone manages to get to her and the fight becomes physical, so they help the other to overcome their failings on their fighting styles.

Angelic Vogue was very involved in organizing Chaggie wedding and viceversa. They weren't the only ones of course, but still, they were the most excited about the weddings.

For Chaggie's wedding, Velvette made the dresses for Vaggie and Charlie. While Emily made the cake and some other cakes.

For Emilette's wedding, Charlie played a song in the piano, and Vaggie did the decorations.

And that's about it! I love the bond this four share, they are a family through and through ♥️

Taylor Swift five stages of grief playlist are like a big conversation between Emily and Lute. In Emily's case, is the grief of discovering someone wasn't the person you thought it was, falling out of love with her. And Lute is the grief of losing a friend and knowing your relationship with her will never be the same.

DENIAL

It starts in the court, Emily watching Lute say those horrible things and willing to kill those souls. But it's a mistake, right? Lute can't possibly be okay with this without a good reason. She knows.

I feel the lavender haze creepin' up on me. Surreal, I'm damned if I do give a damn what people say. No deal, the 1950s shit they want from me. I just wanna stay in that lavender haze.

Meanwhile, Lute sees her friend hurt and confused, but she can make this right. She can convince her that those sinners deserve death. Emily will see this throught.

In the middle of the night, when I'm in this dream it's like a million little stars spelling out your name. You gotta come on, come on, say that we'll be together

...but she doesn't. And Emily can't believe that Lute really wants to kill those sinners that bad. Why would she? This isn't right. Why Lute is okay with this? This is a mistake, it must be a mistake, but everything tells her it isn't.

He says, "What you heard is true, but I can't stop thinkin' 'bout you and I". I said, "I've been there too a few times"

But Lute knows Emily just needs time, she will understand. In the meantime, they can still be friends... right?

But if I just showed up at your party, would you have me? Would you want me? Would you tell me to go fuck myself or lead me to the garden? In the garden, would you trust me if I told you it was just a summer thing?

Emily is betrayed, she needs to be away from Lute, think about this...

You said, "I know" when I said, "I need some time, need some space to think about all of this" You watched me go and I knew my words were hard to hear and harder to ever take back.

And so, as she starts to see that Lute isn't really the person she thought she was, she starts to feel...

How? How could Lute agree with all of this? How could she kill all those souls? Lie to her for some many years? She thought Lute was her friend, a protector, but know she isn't sure anymore

Did you have to do this? I was thinking that you could be trusted. Did you have to ruin what was shining? Now it's all rusted. Did you have to hit me where I'm weak? Baby, I couldn't breathe. And rub it in so deep salt in the wound like you're laughing right at me

That's when Lute starts to realize that Emily isn't going to change her mind. She is really mad...

And it was like slow motion standing there in my party dress in red lipstick with no one to impress. And they're all laughing as I'm looking around the room. But there was one thing missing and that was the moment I knew

But Lute is mad too! What does Emily know? She has been protected her whole life and only sees the good that there is a humanity! But Lute has seen the filth! How horrible they are! They are sinners, they are wicked, they deserve death! She is doing something good, she is protecting Heaven, she is protecting Emily! How can she not see that?

While you were out building other worlds, where was I? Where's that man who'd throw blankets over my barbed wire? I made you my temple, my mural, my sky. Now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life [...] If it's all in my head, tell me now. Tell me I've got it wrong somehow. I know my love should be celebrated but you tolerate it.

Emily doesn't want to hear anything. She is not stupid, she knows that there is bad people in the universe! Does Lute think she is stupid? Does Lute even really knew her? Every time she hears a word coming out of Lute's mouth, she feels her heart broke even more because dispite everything she still loves her

And you wanna scream, don't call me "kid". Don't call me "baby". Look at this godforsaken mess that you made me. You showed me colors you know I can't see with anyone else. Don't call me "kid". Don't call me "baby". Look at this idiotic fool that you made me.

But she can't stand this. She won't take part of this. Lute can excuse herself everything she wants, but Emily is not going to believe her.

Looking so innocent, I might believe you if I didn't know. Could've loved you all my life if you hadn't left me waiting in the cold. So they part ways, and Emily is left with her broken heart. She never really asked Lute for anything, to feel the same way as she did. But this? This she can't tolerate. Even if a deep part of her still loves Lute, she knows she has to stop loving her even if she misses her. Because the Lute she knew, isn't the Lute she fell in love with.

What a waste taking down the pictures and the plans we made, yeah. And it's strange how your face doesn't look so innocent. Your secret has its consequence and that's on you, babe.

Or does she? As months pass, and she misses Lute more, Emily starts to wonder if there is a way to solve this. Sure she couldn't be completely wrong about Lute, she is still a protector and kind inside, right? She just has to help her realize how wrong is to kill those sinners. Maybe she can...

So she decides to do something, hang out with her again, do what they did before, slowly help Lute to see what is correct. Sure she will eventually listen. And that way, they can be friends again, and maybe her heart won't ache so much anymore.

Lute also misses her friend. Maybe they can agree to not agree? Act like they did before this whole mess. Pretend that exterminations never existed, not think about demons, or anything that might bring trouble. Just the two of them being friends.

But it's impossible. They can hang out everything they want, do the things they used to. But they are not on the same page anymore. Lute wants to pretend that nothing happened, but Emily can't simple ignore what Lute did, what she still wants to do, and tries to talk about it and change her mind. Lute doesn't want to hear anything about it, and they argue again.

And it's hard to be at a party when I feel like an open wound. It's hard to be anywhere these days when all I want is you. You're a flashback in a film reel on the one screen in my town. And I just wanted you to know that this is me trying. (And maybe I don't quite know what to say). I just wanted you to know that this is me trying. At least I'm trying.

Lute starts to see that pretending that exterminations, all the things she has done, doesn't exist, is not going to work. Lute is the angel she is, she is a warrior, and protector, and yes, a demon killer, and as long as she is those things, there will always be a wall between Emily and her.

Our coming-of-age has come and gone, suddenly the summer, it's clear. I never had the courage of my convictions. As long as danger is near, and it's just around the corner, darling, 'cause it lives in me. No, I could never give you peace.

Emily feels her heart truly broken. Why she had to fell in love with her? Why with someone that was so different from the person she thought her was? She has to step away, for real this time, but it just hurts so much.

Emily cuts all comunication with Lute, because she knows that the more she tries to reach to Lute, the more she is going to get hurt. Is better to leave, to find another place to heal (like hell), where she won't feel this feeling of dying inside anymore.

Lute also knows she has to stay away from Emily, at this point, the only thing they are doing is hurting the other. She doesn't want to hurt Emily. She still thinks she is the kindest, most lovable girl she knows, but she is destroying that sweet girl. They have to get distance, even if it breaks her heart.

Power went to my head, and I couldn't stop. Ones I loved tried to help, so I ran them off. And here I sit alone, behind walls of regret, falling down like promises that I never kept. And I feel like my castle's crumbling down, and I watch all my bridges burn to the ground. And you don't want to know me, I will just let you down, you don't wanna know me now

How did they end up that way? They were so close, they were the best of friends, they laughed, they shared adventures... and now everything is broken.

Lute focus on her job as the new lieutenant. She ignores the ache in her heart, she transforms the pain, this sadness, into power, to train, to lead, to be more powerful and to kill those fucking demons. While still hoping that one day, Emily will understand why she is doing what she is doing.

I cause no harm, mind my business. If our love died young, I can't bear witness. And it's been so long, but if you ever think you got it wrong, I'm right where you left me.

Emily, on the other side, decides to turn her sadness into something different. Focus on what she can do, instead of what she can't. She can't make Lute change her mind, but can help Charlie and the sinners, even if at nights she suffers, she desires that everything was different, and the pain is so much she feels she is going to die.

Maybe I was naive, got lost in your eyes, and never really had a chance. My mistake, I didn't know to be in love, you had to fight to have the upper hand. I had so many dreams about you and me, happy endings, now I know... I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairy tale. I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet, lead her up the stairwell

...but she is stronger than she believes. Yes, it hurts so much. But also, the more she cries, the more the pain starts to go. The more she helps with the hotel, the more she smiles. She believed that her broken heart would kill her, that not having Lute in her life anymore would destroy her, but she is still standing. She is moving forward, without Lute, but in the right direction. And so she moves to the final stage.

ACCEPTANCE

Cause there were pages turned with the bridges burned, everything you lose is a step you take. So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it, you've got no reason to be afraid. You're on your own, kid. Yeah, you can face this. You're on your own, kid, you always have been

Lute isn't the person she thought she was, which is horrible. But she can try to change her, which will only hurt her, or she can just let her be. Do what she knows best, help demons, hope for Lute to open her eyes, but not trying to force her to do so if she doesn't want to.

That old familiar body ache, the snaps from the same little breaks in my soul, I know when it's time to go. Sometimes, givin' up is the strong thing. Sometimes, to run is the brave thing. Sometimes, walkin' out is the one thing that will find you the right thing.

Lute sadness also starts to go away eventually. She faces the truth. Her relationship with Emily will never be the same. And even if it hurts, she has to learn to live in a world without her friend.

Never wanted this, never wanna see you hurt. Every little bump in the road I tried to swerve. People are people, and sometimes it doesn't work out, nothing we say is gonna save us from the fall out. And we know it's never simple, never easy, never a clean break, no one here to save me. You're the only thing I know like the back of my hand. And I can't, breathe, without you, but I have to.

Emily sees Lute eventually, and as the time pass, she will notice that when she sees Lute, it's not the most beautiful woman she has ever seen, the one she wants to be with. She is just Lute, the leader of the Exorcists, and thus, someone she must stop if she tries to hurt her friends. She is not in love with Lute anymore, and that's okay.

There'll be happiness after you, but there was happiness because of you. Both of these things can be true. There is happiness, past the blood and bruise, past the curses and cries. Beyond the terror in the nightfall, haunted by the look in my eyes, that would've loved you for a lifetime. Leave it all behind and there is happiness

And when Lute sees Emily, she sees how different she is, she hates it, but there is nothing she can do about it. That's fine. They are different people now.

You grew your hair long, you got new icons. And from the outside, it looks like you're trying lives on. I miss the old ways, you didn't have to change. But I guess I don't have a say, now that we don't talk.

Emily finally starts to be the person she was before, but wiser. This pain has made her stronger. She starts to smile again, be the seraph she was before, her pain fades away...

Rain came pouring down, when I was drowning, that's when I could finally breathe. And by morning, gone was any trace of you, I think I am finally clean.

...and eventually, she will find love again. A real love. Without lies. Without secrets. Just a pure, sweet love, she will cherish forever.
