Further more explaining, he would have cool powers! Like if he's connected to different characters in different animes, he could use the certain character as a power up! But he will have to experience that characters story in real time. He's just like a game player, whose trapped in a simulation ;D

I wanted to explain the multiverse!levi au I've been gatekeeping for a few years. It's only recently I found a reasonable way to explain and make it make sense!

So, this originally takes place after Levi's death, where he meets founder Ymir again. Founder Ymir wants to repay every victim of her powers, especially after the rumbling that destroyed millions of lives. Because the Ackerman clan were byproducts of the titan science, she wanted to prioritise them first. You can say that every Ackerman clan met founder Ymir after their deaths, and were offered repairments for all the pain they had to go through. Founder Ymir specifically asks Mikasa and Levi to choose, what they want to do next. Of course, to keep balance, something were to be taken away. Mikasa wanted to spend 4 years with Eren peacefully, in return for killing Eren. (Obviously it's not the final idea for Mikasa, so I may make changes)

As for Levi, he was asked which fruit he liked, but he couldn't answer because he roughly remembered their tastes. Founder Ymir believes that he would like pomegranates (I believe that I read somewhere that this fruit meant connection or rebirth), and then she offers him the fruit. She asks him what he wants to do now, and again he's fumbled because he wants to see his friends again. She tells him that she's willing to grant him the power to rebirth, chances will be slim that he's going to be reborn in the aot universe to see them again, but she reaffirms him that he wont be facing the same conflicts as in his original story. He accepts the offer, takes the fruit but it morphes into a working stopwatch. The only thing he knows is that the stopwatch connects the other universes, letting him access the worlds openly (but can only interact with selected people).

But at some point, he kept trying to switch worlds and try to look for his friends, but in exchange he started losing his memories.
