I don't know if I posted this cutie in the past but this is Ryuukoten (name changed slightly since I drew his animal form)

Ryuukoten is a tsukaima or familiar in my manga series Painted Black. Specifically, he is Kohei's tsukaima. More below!

A tsukaima is a being that is born and dies a part of any mage's soul. They are what make mages different from mortals and are the source of their magical abilities, dictate which magical sources they draw from, and grant them unique spells and abilities.

Ryuukoten is a draconic type familiar. He is a piebald dragon to go hand in hand with Kohei who has vitiligo. He manifests within Kohei as a priest but externally as a small dragon.

Made this on stream last night. This is Kohei, my main character in my manga project, Painted Black. Any yet I haven't drawn him very much and I need to learn to do his hair better because I struggle with it.

Also tried crosshatching and some manga things. All new stuff to me and I'm not sure how I feel about it still.

I don't think I've posted Kirika before but I wanted to! She's from my manga project Painted Black and she's a mystic who can see the future. She's super aloof and has frequent visions she can't seem to control. They're usually accurate!

I like to think she has a voice a lot like Froppy from My Hero Academia. That sort of nasally yet monotone voice.

She was also one of the first characters I designed for the project

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit. I've got a lot I'm working on but nothing finished because I keep jumping around.

Ignoring my shit kanji, I made kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) in something I'm working on and thought it came put nice.

Working on a few of my characters enjoying summer treats like shaved ice, takoyaki, ice cream, that kind of thing. It's cute so far but I keep rotating which one I want to work on instead of just finishing one.

I also got my very first tattoo! Original art (not the tattoo) by @candythecane ♡
