I don't know if I posted this cutie in the past but this is Ryuukoten (name changed slightly since I drew his animal form)

Ryuukoten is a tsukaima or familiar in my manga series Painted Black. Specifically, he is Kohei's tsukaima. More below!

A tsukaima is a being that is born and dies a part of any mage's soul. They are what make mages different from mortals and are the source of their magical abilities, dictate which magical sources they draw from, and grant them unique spells and abilities.

Ryuukoten is a draconic type familiar. He is a piebald dragon to go hand in hand with Kohei who has vitiligo. He manifests within Kohei as a priest but externally as a small dragon.

I love designing characters and this is my leading male protagonists and one of the first characters I drew for my manga project, Painted Black. More information below if you're curious to know more about him.

These are a bit older sketches, but I'm open for headshot commissions like these and more!

Name: Kohei Namazui.

Bio: He was left at an orphanage as a baby and kicked out to make room for more "desirable" children to move in the moment he came of age. Taken in by an elderly volunteer, he lives with her in her small house and does the majority of the chores as a self-imposed way of not being a burden.

Kohei has always been bullied for his vitiligo and he considers it the reason he wasn't wanted by either his original parents or any prospective family that visited the orphanage, despite his attempts to fit in.

Personality: Kohei comes off as short-tempered, stubborn, and usually has a scowl on his face. Despite giving off an air of cool indifference, Kohei is empathetic toward the downtrodden and cares deeply for anybody he consideres a friend.
