Having a cat of my own had always been a wish of mine.

Any pet really. And having an orange male cat was the absolute dream.

I never imagined that l'd have my little baby so soon. I had plans for one after I graduated university. But my little brother wanted to have birds. But we came home with this beautiful ray of sunshine. And fittingly enough, it was 14th February, valentine's day.

It's been more than a month since he's been with us. He became the source of happiness for everyone in my family.

The relationship between my parents wasn't going well to be honest, nor was my relationship with my mother was good. But ever since Naruto came, my parents talk and laugh about him all day long. My mother and I talk about him, play with him, tease each other about various things all day. Naruto is a blessing to us.

Naruto's continuous comedic endeavours are the source of laughter in our house these days, where as before our home used to be as quiet as a graveyard at times. Naruto's chasing the tiny cockroaches, "hunting" the broom, jumping around to catch whatever is moving, and the ✨zoomies✨these are just a few of the examples.

We had to take home to the vet a while ago. For his vaccination and a certain issue he had. Often times after his zoomies, he'd collapse and cry loudly. Then be fine in a few minutes.

We found out he has epilepsy and "Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy" (HCM), a generic disease of the heart.

The heart muscles tighten up, causing fainting, lethargy, and chest pain. There is no cure to it. My baby will just have to suffer from it. All we can do is be with him, keep him calm and soothe him.

We know that he won't be with us for long. It's been 3 days since his seizures have become more violent. I am dreading the day he'll suddenly collapse and never get back up. What will I do then?

All I can do is pray. Pray for his health, pray for his long life, pray for a little less suffering. All I can tell myself is that

"maybe I am the one who can take care of him that's why he's with me" instead of saying "why me?"

After all, Allah's plan over mine.
