Adorable Little Hero 10-Year-Old Miracle Moore Helps Deliver Baby Sister
Miracle Moore, a 10-year-old girl in Jennings, Missouri, helped deliver her baby sister at home after her mother, Viola Fair, went into sudden labor. When Fair's labor progressed quickly, Miracle called 911 and spoke to dispatcher Scott Stranghoener, who guided her through the delivery process over the phone. Miracle followed Stranghoener's instructions, telling her mother not to sit on the toilet and to lie down on the bed or floor.
As the baby started crowning, Miracle exclaimed "She's coming! She's coming!" and then "She's out!" Miracle gently wiped the baby's mouth and nose, wrapped her in a towel, and made sure the umbilical cord was not wrapped around the baby's neck, all while on the phone with the dispatcher.
When the emergency responders arrived, Miracle directed them to her mother's room. Stranghoener praised Miracle, saying "You did a very good job." Miracle's quick thinking and composure in a stressful situation allowed her to successfully assist in the delivery of her baby sister at just 10 years old.
