We gots us a new subreddit, y'all. If you want a positive community of geeks that is all about being friends and doesn't want anything to do with the toxicity and vitriol that permeates a lot of #geek culture, feel free to join. It's a ton of fun so far.

Many thanks to the woman in front of me who was willing to text me the pictures of Stephen King she snuck as he was finishing up his talk at the Ryman in Nashville. It was a magnificent evening all around. Of the 4 copies of End of Watch we got with our tickets, 3 of them were signed! 3 of us were able to attend, and we all got one! Insanity!

Books by B.J. Keeton, the Running Novelist
When I’m not pounding the pavement and wearing down my Asics, I’m probably in front of my laptop working on my next novel. I write a little bit of everything, from science-fiction and fantasy, to horror, and even some steampunk thrown in for good measure. In other words, people pay me to make stuff up. It’s kind of awesome.
Take take a look around. I’d love to tell you a story.

Finally, we have an ePub version of the NIMBUS omnibus. After the review, it should be available on BN, iBooks, and Kobo, too. Enjoy!

Someone stop me from buying a pair of Asics Nimbus 15s from Zappos. I want to try them to see if it makes running any better on my knee/hip. I think the 14s I'm in are wearing down pretty hardcore.

I love The Final Empire--and pretty much all of Sanderson's work. Have you read any of his other stuff? His YA books (Steelheart and The Rithmatist) are different from his epic fantasy, but well worth reading. And The Stormlight Archive? I would just gush if I tried to talk about them...
I’m still sick so bear with me on blogging. At the moment I’m just sleeping, watching Disney/Pixar movies (Wreck It Ralph, Frozen, Brave, Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo so far - the first three being ones I’ve seen for the first time - I might watch some book to movie adaptations tomorrow), slowly reading The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson (it’s so epic - I’m really into fantasy/sci-fi lately) and feeling sorry for myself.
I hope you’re all having a lovely week anyways!

If you're interested, LINEAGE is out in paperback--finally. It's enrolled in Amazon's MatchBook program, so if you buy the paperback, you can also snag the ebook for just $0.99 extra. Why don't ya head on over and grab yourself some awesome scifi, huh?

I just want B.J. to follow me around all day and tell me what to eat.

I might go nuts if I didn't. I prefer natural, myself. I make a monthly Whole Foods trip to stock up on about 4 lbs of the freshly ground stuff that I eat for lunch 3-5 days a week.
do you eat natural peanut butter or supermarket peanut butter?
I don’t eat peanut butter.

After reading "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running," I am very much thinking of trying to rebrand myself like him: the running novelist. Thoughts?

Super true. I eat a ton of all this except the lean beef. Not much on red meat.

Austin and I should really dig in and finish plotting Stratus (the Nimbus sequel) next week, get to writing Part 2 soon after, and have it edited and revised by--hopefully--Fall. Here's hoping!

It's sad how much I miss my toe calluses from running.
