I've seen people cheering for stage people before but a surprising highlight of the show was when we were waiting for MCR after Thursday and a guy came out vacuuming and the ENTIRE STADIUM began chanting "VACUUM GUY! VACUUM GUY!" And the guy held up his vacuum when he was done and I swear that was the loudest cheering of the entire thing

so i went to go see mcr last night as you all know and it was overwhelming but in a good way. cause i live in a pretty conservative area and while nashville isnt as conservative as the rest it still *is* you know? 

and my friend and i were lined up outside the venue and i looked around and everyone was dressed like a freak. dyed and cut hair, undercuts, dressed all in black or all in bright colours and there were 70something people who were holding their kids and grandkid’s hands and teenagers with too much eyeliner and 40 year olds who dug out their old mcr shirts from like 2003 and people with x’s over their eyes and fat folks wearing mesh tops and short shorts and beanpoles swallowed in their too-big hoodies and patch jackets and they were exchanging pronouns and asking about everyone’s lives and talking about their favourite albums and sharing eyeshadow and it got to me. there were all of these people from everywhere and every age and they were all here. they were all so kind. i felt surrounded by people who loved me even though they didn’t know me. it was amazing. for the first time in my whole life i really truly felt like i was in a community, i was surrounded by joy and support and living, breathing, people who were all brought together because of their love for this little rock band from new jersey.

i can say without exaggeration it was the best night of my life
