. Now, as a white person, I'm automatically going to be labelled a racist for this post. But in all honesty, I don't care about the color of your skin. You have dark skin because your ancestors lived in high UV areas, and their skin evolved to protect them against the sun. Cool. No problem. My ancestors lived in less UV areas and as a result, I have light skin and get burnt easier than you. The color of your skin doesn't irritate me, what does irritate me is stuff like this 'White people have never been enslaved, colonized, or forced to segregate.' Has anyone ever read a history book? White people have been enslaving other white people for thousands of years. And white people probably went and colonised other white people. I mean, we all didn't just decide to colonise ourselves all at the same time. Yeah, what white people have done to POC is disgusting, but what white people done to ourselves is almost as bad. People always seem to think that white people are only after POC but when in actual fact, white people are after pretty much everyone. And that's not an excuse, that's the truth. Discrediting white history, to suit the needs of your own history is not right. And blaming the modern generation for things our ancestors have done, is not okay. I have never had a slave, servant, maid or any other type of household help, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't blame me for enslaving an entire race of people. And I'm not saying to forget about your history, or the struggles of today, but I'm saying, just because I have different coloured skin to yours, doesn't mean I am wrong, or that I have done something wrong to you.Now that ....that sounds familiar, doesn't it.
