Nemona Crazed

More Discord shenanigans. I made this because I was watching Wiz on a live stream of the Pecharunt event, and he was reading out Nemona's dialogue in this psychotic tone. Then someone in the live stream said that she had a knife, and people wanted this drawn. So I decided to take the case. I think this is probably one of the weirdest things I've drawn - by my standards, at least. I was speaking to my husband about it and he told me I should make her have a bat'leth from Star Trek. So I did so. This was based on a statement he made about Nemona being a "kid-friendly Klingon," because all she cares about is combat/battling. Spent far too much time on this joke - because I wanted to make sure it looked good as he [Wiz] was going to use it as a sticker for his Discord. They also made it into an emote - both versions - though they aren't quite meant for usage at that size. [I'm not a master at working at small scale.] Quality wise though, I think it's pretty good. I learned a good chunk from just imitating Nemona's face and had to focus on two of my weaknesses - human faces and hands.

Bobo Cheems Hand Drawn

A Discord I was part of had a bunch of people making these Pokemon edits to this meme called "Cheems," which is basically the dog on the left. Me being incompetent at editing pre-existing work, I actually recreated my own drawing of the dog. That's the one on the far left. The dog's actual name is "Baltze," which the owners would apparently nickname Ball Ball or Bobo. So I decided to call my version Bobo.  I'm pretty proud of my recreation, actually. I'm not as bad at recreating realism as I thought. The edits though... they are abominations. I guess they're meant to be, as editing these things are kind of these memes that anyone can do. Not super proud of these though. I think Darkrai was the best one - Luxray was a horrid experiment of me trying to get a grasp on how to do this. I figure I'd post it all for completion purposes though.

Panquistador

Though this is meant to be a silly injoke, I did want to also make it look like it could be an actual Pokemon and have some level of coolness. [I'm not very good at jokey art, so I had to take it with some level of seriousness.] At that, I think I succeeded. So what is this guy? He's based on the bread knight injoke from the Imported Cheese Youtube channel. It's a long story, so I won't go into it. But essentially, my husband saw my Bread Knight Ash art and said that it should be called "Panquistador" in Imported Cheese's Discord. I thought this sounded like a Pokemon name, and it gave me the idea for a Charcadet evolution based on a bread knight. Its name is a combination of "pan" - the Spanish word for bread, and conquistador. It is pronounced PAWN-KEESTADOOR ...Yes, this is how I start the New Year. Here's the little info blurb about it: PANQUISTADOR THE BREAD KNIGHT POKEMON NORMAL/GHOST A Charcadet was fed so many Paldean sandwiches by a certain married Lab Duo that it left this mortal coil, resulting in the newly discovered Pokemon Panquistador.

Bread Knight Ash

Won't make sense to most people. This was created as a gift for Agent Ash, and is based on several injokes from the Imported Cheese Youtube channel.  Quite proud of how the coloring turned out. It's probably the best mood lighting I've done yet. Also, the Japanese is meaningless. I just put "bread kill" into Google translate. This format is commonly used by Imported Cheese and is based on title cards from Sekiro. [I've never played Sekiro.]

I made this for Rexaura on the official Sea of Stars Discord. It's his Solstice Warrior OC - a Lunar Lucario. I just kind of did it on a whim - I very much enjoyed the idea of crossing Pokemon - especially Lucario - over with this game. It was pretty fun to work on!

SD31 - Liberated Narwaltz

Smaugust Day 31: Liberated [ 2023 ] This is Narwaltz, an Sky*/Ice Fakemon. It is the Boundless Pokemon, and is one of three evolutions for a small dolphinlike Pokemon I haven't designed yet. A mythical beast that flies endlessly through the skies, its lifespan seemingly frozen in time. It sings a song that lifts the hearts of those who hear it, and inspires the oppressed to break free of their shackles. Probably one of my favorite of the Fakemon I've created - I kind of wanted to give it Dewgong vibes. FINALLY done with that after like... three months of delays. Still, the fact that I managed to make this many pieces in such a short amount of time is impressive. It was definitely a valuable experience, and I hope to at least keep some level of consistency going forth. I know I still do have a lot of art basics to learn as I unfortunately fudge it a lot of the time, but I'll probably be studying those more slowly because they will slow down my output and explode my brain if I try to retain too much information at once. Anyway though, whew! I'm on break for about two weeks before I start up again. This took a lot out of me.

SD29 - Cursed Pandorakia

Smaugust Day 29: Cursed [ 2023 ] This is Pandorakia, an Ice/Poison Legendary Fakemon. It is the Fallblight Aeon Pokemon, part of a series of nine legendaries known as Aeons. Definitely one of my favorite aeon concepts for its uniqueness. I wanted to try to make a Pokemon of this unique typing work and I feel making it a draconic ice scorpion really helped with that. Pandorakia's entire body is made of putrid, frozen poisonous crystals. Within its armor lingers its true body made of poisonous cores, which secrete a icy venom so foul that it instantly corrupts the unfortunate target's soul and sends them straight to the afterlife.  Victims of Pandorakia are left as soulless husks whose frozen bodies slowly wither away to snowy dust. It is the harbinger of the falls of many civilizations and Pokemon species, withering away all flora and fauna in its wake, and is highly feared as Zekamet Agent of Blight. SD28 - Blessed Novaxander

Smaugust Day 28: Blessed [ 2023 ] This is Novaxander, an Rock/Aura* Legendary Fakemon. It is the Somaform Aeon Pokemon, part of a series of nine legendaries known as Aeons. He kind of has this centurion, holy golem inspiration, partially taken from the summon Alexander of Final Fantasy. It is said that physical bodies were molded from this Pokemon's special aura-infused rocks known as soma, and that prior to its creation, all beings only inhabited the spiritual plane.  [*Fighting - I changed the name of the type in my canon.] [Smaugust is an art challenge in August where one must draw one dragon a day.]

SD27 - Nurturing Kangaskhan

Smaugust Day 27: Nurturing [ 2023 ] Basically the most nurturing kind of dragonlike Pokemon I could think of. This one's a bit more anthropomorphized, as she is from the world after humanity went extinct and Pokemon evolved to replace them. I don't know if she'll be a character in the story at all yet. SD26 - Discovery Nuclent

Smaugust Day 26: Discovery [ 2023 ] This is Nuclent, a Land*/Psychic Fakemon, known as the Lost Wisdom Pokemon. This is a huge revamp of an old design I made of a DNA snake Pokemon. It's a fossil Pokemon that holds ancient genetic data within the glowing bands around its bones and between its coils. This Pokemon's discovery may led to a revolution in current scientific knowledge, though I'm not 100% sure what role it will play in my story yet. SD25 - Royalty Gevurah

Smaugust Day 25: Royalty [ 2023 ] This is Gevurah, an Fire/Sky* Legendary Fakemon. It is the Risesky Aeon Pokemon, part of a series of nine legendaries known as Aeons. I'll admit it's more of a phoenix than a dragon, but a future redesign may give it more draconic elements. Plus, I heavily associate birds with dragons anyway. In my canon, most of the normal Legendaries don't exist. It's a totally new pantheon of Pokegods, so there is no Ho-Oh, giving room for another phoenixlike Legendary. Honestly though, I've never really liked Ho-Oh all that much. It looks kind of awkward, and I wanted something that could capture the majesty of a phoenix better. Based partially on Quetzalcoatl, a firefly, a centipede, and yes, even a train. This design went through a lot before it got to this point. SD22 - Arena Adalugg

Smaugust Day 22: Arena [ 2023 ] This is Adalugg, a Steel/Dragon variant of Avalugg. It's based on the Adamantoise from Final Fantasy. This extremely large Pokemon burrows itself underground and crushes prey with the immensely sharp fanglike claws on its back and then drags them down. Its hide is nigh-impenetrable, made of a unique metal called adamantine, which is used only for the strongest and rarest of weapons. SD21 - Civilized Light Dragon

Smaugust Day 21: Civilized [ 2023 ] Things I'm not good at: objects interacting with other objects and perspective. This doubtless demonstrates those weaknesses in clear relief. But one must try in order to improve, and that I did. Given enough research and practice, I'll get it eventually. Now is not that day though. Anyway, this is the Light Dragon from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, anthropomorphized to fit the "civilized" prompt. Also drinking tea because such is what civilized persons do. Weirdly, this is the third time I've drawn some creature sitting in a chair drinking tea, which is more times than I thought I'd ever do that. It's definitely my favorite of the dragons in the series and this represents a more light-hearted take on its concept. If you're wondering, I've never completed any Zelda games and don't really consider myself a fan of the series.
