Printables are a form of papercrafting and are often used for making dollhouse miniatures. People use them in their dollhouses or miniature scenes to give character or make the room more lifelike. “The designs are usually drawn out flat and once printed on paper they can be cut, folded and glued into shape. I've always had a love for miniatures and I've had great fun designing mini stationery printables you can make yourself. “Before I started drawing with the iPad and Apple pencil, I only ever sculpted with polymer clay. Making small figurines and pose-able fairy dolls. Here is one of my fairies, I hand sculpt their faces and bodies with clay over wire armature. Parts of their bodies are fabric and stuffing so that they can bend and be posed. I hand paint them, glue their hair and sew their dresses and wings. “I started drawing more seriously about five years ago when I got an iPad and Apple pencil. "Hello from Holly Jayne again. “Working on a graphic novel is a little like figuring out a puzzle, especially telling the story with comic book style panels, making sure young readers can follow even when some panels have no words. “Here are three pages of sketches and notes from Bunnygirl: Treehouse Friends. My favourite is the idea for Bunnygirl's new Vespa helmet. It still makes me laugh. “The second picture is some of the early new character sketches. “The third image is a rough sketch of the inside of James' treehouse. Here I’m figuring out placement and how to get the most out of the small space. Lately, I've been listening to my 60's music playlist. I enjoy making playlists to introduce my son to different music, something we love to do in the car on the way to school. "Bunnygirl first came to life as a small polymer clay figure. I sculpted her back in 2015, just playing around one day and I fell in love with her. "At the time I was making a lot of figurines of bears and bunnies and I wanted a little girl character but in something other than a dress, so naturally I put her in a bunnysuit. "The art toys and vinyl toys I collect were the inspiration behind how she looks. I've always liked simplicity and symmetry in my character design and of course cuteness and a pastel colour palette! "I've collected many of these toys over the years, from other artists, vinyl toy shops and ebay.
