Welcome to the sixth edition of #AggressivelyArospecWeek!

#AggressivelyArospecWeek (#AAW) is a week-long event promoting the creation of arospec fancontent by arospec creators.

Our event aims to create a space where arospec creators are free to explore their identities through fanwork. We believe that fandom is a great way to share our passions, our interests and to empower one another in our arospec identities. All while having loads of fun!

Please join us from June 20 to June 26 2021 and enjoy a small explosion of arospec fancontent. You’re welcome to submit any type of content for the event, whether it be fanfic, headcanons, mixtapes, fanart,… Anything goes!

Any content you submit has to be centered around a character’s arospec identity (whether that character is canonically arospec or you headcanon them as so.) Content can be about any fandom whatsoever!

To submit, please make a new post during the event week and tag it as #AggressivelyArospecWeek, or submit your work directly to our blog through the ask and submission boxes. Your post will then be reblogged on the Aggressively Arospec blog.

We also have a Twitter account, so use the hashtags #AggressivelyArospecWeek and #AAW21 if you tweet about your work on there. You can also mention us in your tweet to be sure we don’t miss it and can retweet it. Do submit through tumblr if you can, however, since that is the best way to get your contribution archived with all the others.

Lastly, a collection will be opened on Archive of our Own to round up all the fanfics posted on there.

We can’t wait to see what you have in store for us this year!

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! <3

Ginny Weasley is six, and she’s getting very vocal about the fact that she is a girl, a girl, a girl! She becomes sullen, withdrawn, grumpy, and prone to tantrums when she is not listened to. 

Ginny Weasley is eight, and she is still a girl. Her parents and brothers have slowly become more and more supportive and accepting of this, and finally no one is misgendering her and mum has taken to calling her Ginny and everyone else has followed suit. She blossoms. Ginny is cheerful and exuberant and energetic. She never shuts up and laughs all the time.

Ginny Weasley is 14, and before she knew something was wrong, that she didn’t feel how people said she was supposed to, but now she thinks she doesn’t feel how she is supposed to feel again except this is a lack of feeling and how is she supposed to know if she just doesn’t feel something?

Ginny Weasley is 21 and realizing she is durasexual in addition to being ply. She worries she will never have a committed, stable, long-term relationship that she so wants.

Ginny Weasley is 33 and in a romantic and sometimes sexual relationship with Harry and Luna and in a qpp with Neville and Hermione. Ginny Weasley’s life is not perfect, but she’s pretty damn happy with how it’s turning out.

Hermione Granger is 10, and she’s having to explain to her parents and the tall, stern woman standing in her living room why her letter has the name “Hermione” on it. This isn’t something she’s said out loud before. And she’s crying and hunching over and stimming with her necklace, but the strangers sternness seems to suddenly disappear as she steps in and apologizes to Hermione and is somehow convincing her parent’s to leave while they talk. Professor McGonagall says her name is Minerva, but it wasn’t always, and she too is trans like Hermione, and she’s so sorry; Hogwarts’ system isn’t perfect and they never meant to forcefully out her to her parents, but Hermione is also a witch just like Minerva, and Minerva can erase her parents’ memories and they can start over without her parents’ remembering any of this business about Hermione’s true gender if she’s not ready yet. But it helps to know she’s not alone. Hermione works through her upset. She squares her shoulders. She’s ready.

Hermione Granger is 18, and she’s letting Ron down gently and admitting out loud for the first time that she’s aromantic. And she’s telling her friends for the first time that she’s trans. And Merlin, does she feel free.

Hermione Granger is 25 and the Ministry’s biggest thorn with all her activist campaigns. She’s got big plans and the drive to go through with them.

Bill Weasley is 17, and his baby sister is telling them all that she’s a girl, and Bill has trouble focusing for the next few months, buried in self-reflection.

Bill Weasley is 19, and he’s telling his family that he’s actually a boy man. And he’s far older than Ginny was, so there’s lots of confusion and resistance, but Bill knows now how to define how he feels, knows know that how he feels is valid, and he’s not backing down.

Bill Weasley is 27, and he’s marrying the love of his life, Fleur, who teaches him so many things. When she comes out as queer and agender, he discovers the term bi to describe his attraction. He helps her practice English, and he learns French. And everyday, he learns new depths of just how much he can love someone.

Nymphadora Tonks is a newborn, and she’s already subconsciously altering her looks. It means nothing except a mirror as to who’s around her.

Nymphadora Tonks is seven, and he feels like an outcast. He loves being a metamorphmagi. It immediately makes him friends with all other kids, who thinks what he does is just amazing and hilarious. He does not yet understand how he feels when he radically changes his body or the joy he gets when people automatically change pronouns based on his appearance, but neither does he know how to talk about it when his mother or father ‘correct’ people.

Nymphadora Tonks is 13 and just learned the term genderfluid. They love it! Genderfluid! It’s their word! But it brings up questions that sometimes Tonks lays awake at night thinking about. Is it because they’re a metamorphmagi or are they just lucky like that?

Nymphadora Tonks is 20, and xe’s had one night stands, short relationships, flings, and crushes so intense xe feels like xe’s burning alive. Tonks is pan, a hopeless romantic, and xe secretly dreams of getting married and settling down. Mum and dad are so in love. Tonks wants that. But xe’s never even been in a relationship more than a few months long. Is it because xe’s a metamorphmagi or because xe’s Tonks?

Nymphadora Tonks is 23, and ey has just given birth via donor. Maybe a committed and loving marriage isn’t in eir future, but ey are ready for a baby. And the moment that lil babe cries, Tonks’ heart bursts with love and all the loneliness ey’s ever felt suddenly seems like a dream. And when that little babe yawns and their hair goes from brown to Tonks’ pink shade, the whole world melts away, and Tonks knows true happiness.

Harry Potter is 16, and he’s coming to terms with being gray-asexual. And by coming to terms, Harry is actually burying these feelings under any and all other distractions he can.

Harry Potter is 22, and he’s leading pride parades down Diagon Alley and in Hogsmeade, proudly displaying his gray-ace shirt and bi flag. Oh, how far he’s come, learning to love himself by helping other’s to be able to do the same.

Harry Potter is 31, and they’ve just started questioning their gender. Some say they’re just trying to feel special by identifying as nonbinary. Harry shrugs and laughs and tells them they’re the Chosen One who defeated Voldemort. They don’t need to be made to feel any more special. They just need to be honest with themself.

Draco Malfoy is 15, and se knows se’s not allowed to talk about how se really feels. That’s not what Malfoy’s do. But Slytherin is full of secrets, and not all secrets are meant to be kept. In the darkest hour of night, on the 31st of the month, Slytherins solemnly gather in the common room and whisper out their secrets. This is not something that is ever spoken of, and one must never use information shared during this time against each other. So, in hushed tones, with hir eyes closed, every other month, Draco gets to admit se’s bigender.

Draco Malfoy is 24, and although Astoria knows hir secret and se knows hers, they are still pretending because it’s the easier thing to do.

Draco Malfoy is 39, and hir wife has died. Se feels empty and numb. Se goes through the motions for Scorpius. Se grieves.

Draco Malfoy is 44, and it’s time se started setting the example for Scorpius instead of the other way around. Too bad if hir parent’s don’t like it. Draco is bigender and attracted to men. Se’s achillean. And se’s tired of being alone.

Draco Malfoy is 51, and se’s getting married again. Se’s sure hir father is watching with a frown, but se can’t see anything but Blaise’s shining eyes staring into hirs - can’t even see the tears of joy Scorpius is subtly wiping away.

It’s 2018, and it’s Britain’s magical community’s third year recognizing and celebrating Trans Day of Visibility. And it’s absolutely beautiful.

10 Charlie Weasley Headcanons

Charlie absolutely loves his Weasley sweaters to no end and sends a formal thank you note to his mother each time she knits him one.

Charlie became obsessed with dragons when Fabian brought a copy of ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ to dinner when he was four and read parts of it to him. 

Gideon actually got him his first broom and taught him to fly.

When Charlie started school he regularly went to visit Hagrid and have conversations about dragons that would end up with Charlie rushing back to the castle because he stayed too late.

Charlie once spent 48 hours outside. Not because he was locked out or anything…he just loves the outdoors and didn’t even notice the time passing.

In fourth year while all the other kids in his grade were starting to date Charlie came to the conclusion that he was in fact. Asexual and Aromantic.  

He actually had problems accepting this until a certain Hufflepuff in his year by the name of Nymphadora Tonks to shut up because at least he wasnt a teenage girl named Nymphadora. (”Seriously Charlie stop laughing”)

He was actually the first person to refer to Tonks by her last name. (best friends ever since)

After the war Charlie brought Hagrid to Romania to see the dragons. 

The day after ‘Dora’s funeral Charlie charmed a stripe of his hair pink and never got rid of it.

Nonbinary aroace lesbian Luna telling their trans girl squish/friend Hermione how beautiful she is. (H)

Their last spring at Hogwarts was absolutely gorgeous, and the two spent much of their time beneath the trees beside the lake. It was one of the rare days Hermione wasn’t studying for her N.E.W.T.s, and she was enjoying a bit of light reading (Muggleborn Magic: 777 Spells, Inventions, and Events That Changed Our World by Gelasia Ollivander). Luna sat nearby, head up and eyes closed, enjoying the slight breeze through their hair and the shadow of leaves dancing across their eyelids. The warm, comfortable silence between them was only disturbed by the occasional splash from the lake or the turn of a page.

Around Hermione’s fourth chapter she glanced up and realized Luna had opened their eyes and was watching her. (For how long she did not know.)

“What is it?” she asked.

“Well… it’s just that you’re so beautiful when you read a book you enjoy,” Luna said almost matter-of-factly. They pulled the wand from behind their ear and turned it slowly between their fingers. “If I cast the patronus charm right now a hare would probably go bounding across the lake.”

Hermione felt her cheeks burning as she quickly turned back to her book. Her hair draped down and hid her face, but Luna could still hear the smile in her words when she said, “Thanks Luna. I think you’re beautiful too.”’

Asexual Arthur and Molly being the best parents and supporting their kids' identities

Arthur being the one to teach Charlie the word “asexual” and letting him come to the realization on his own.

Molly being the one to see how unhappy Ginny was being called and thought of as a boy and asking if she wanted to be a girl.

Arthur being the first one Bill proudly came out to.

Molly just hugging Percy and letting him cry into her shoulder when he realized the depth of his feelings for Oliver but was too terrified to tell him.

Arthur helping George come out to Fred because even though they seemed of one mind so often, they were incredibly important to each other and terrified of somehow letting the other down.

Molly never minding being gotten up at 2 am to console her kids when they’re panicking and fretting over coming out to someone new or having to potentially face someone who didn’t accept them.

Arthur periodically sending his kids positive and validating letters while they’re away from home just to remind them that they’re loved.

Molly always telling her kids how incredibly proud of them she is and always absolutely meaning it.

Arthur and Molly just being there for their kids, no matter what.
