So, I was watching "Cool Doji Danshi: Bokura no Koibana" yesterday…

… and I can't help but think about them as a bunch of aspec guys who still have no idea about what being Aro and/or Ace means.

I mean, as a headcanon, of course; it's very unlikely this was the original intention.

I'll give a scene as a little example:

If this don't look like the "oblivious aspec help group", I don't know what else it'd look like!

But it's not just because this scene, is the whole special, if at least they said they wanted someone but it never worked out, I'd think: "yes, it's just about being clumsy and unaware of signs". But no. Not even a "I wanted to have a romance with someone so bad!"

Please tell me I'm not alone in this headcanon!

Edit: they are loosing the opportunity of putting each of them as a different flavor of aspec. Fr.

Arospec headcanons #6 Thomas Thorne - BBC Ghosts: allo/aro

There’s been plenty of discussion on this topic, which you can probably find by searching “aromantic Thomas Thorne”, but the gist of it is that Thomas’ “love” often comes across as shallow, forced or something of a performance thanks to the influence of the time he lived in and the romantic poetry he loves and tries to emulate. He likes the drama and beauty in the romantic language he uses, but he can’t actually seem to write anything with any real substance behind it as long as he’s trying to write about romantic love

I like the idea that he’s aro/ace, but I do personally headcanon him as allosexual (specifically bisexual). He wouldn’t be familiar with the concept of the split attraction model and mistakes the sexual (and sometimes platonic) attraction he feels for romantic attraction

I am also willing to accept him as greyromantic with Isabelle being the only person he’s ever felt sincere romantic love for

I mean. He literally says "my father says that love is the most beautiful thing in the world. I think games are. I think chess is the most beautiful thing, not love"

And then later, "I think girls are the most beautiful thing is the world, not love."

He literally has no interest in anyone of any gender until he hits puberty and then is very specifically only interested in " girls for whom I lust/girls who wear a lot of make up/girls who smoke and show their bust/girls with whom I always wake up"

On the one hand, I am like "really? I'm really making every character I like alloaro? Again?" On the other hand. Like. It's right there in the lyrics. You don't get more alloaro than "no love, just chess and girls"
