Bam, vanilla fletching table GUI is done for the @archhivist server. Check how it works under the cut.
I decided to make fletching be a % based crafting system, so that it stands out from the other crafting systems and vibes with archery as a whole, kinda making it feel like its own thing. The three indicators on the left tell the player how much amethyst is surrounding the table (max 25), whether they have a spyglass in their inventory (& what that accomplishes), and whether there's a target block under the fletching table (& what that accomplishes). More on that later.
The recipes are...
Arrows: Stick + flint. 50% chance of success, 75% with spyglass. Returns 4 arrows.
Spectral Arrows: Arrow + 4 glowstone dust. 50% chance of success, 75% with spyglass. Returns 2 spectral arrows.
Quiver: 10 leather.
Tipped Arrow: Arrow + any alembic (lingering potion). The alembic has a 10% chance of being consumed on crafting; this chance goes down by 0.2% per amethyst block present, for a minimum chance of being consumed of 5%.
The target block makes it so that the player gains souls (xp) upon fletching any item. I do plan on expanding the functionality of the fletching table to include fireworks, as well as adding the ability to use souls in fletching, too.
hiiiii have been building a little town on the Archhive server run by @archhivist !
there's alot of nifty datapacks that adds new stone types to mess around, though i've been mostly building with wood. But other than that everyone there is really chill and cool!
Steppe Plating, Full Plating, Wander Coating, and Golem Trim; to the right you can see the Epitaph trim & 3 Guild trims. All of these are pretty WIP, but coming to my server @archhivist when 1.20 drops, & will (mostly) release in a standalone datapack.
The materials on display (after the default ones) are:
Scute, Prismarine, End Crystal, Echo Shard (Still needs a lot of work), Glow Ink, Empyrean, Jade, Topaz (Still needs a lot of work), and Ruby. I plan on at least 5 more armor platings, & 3 more unique treasure armor types.
The ArchHive, an Anarcho-Communist, LGBTQ+ run, Minecraft and Discord-based community, is entering a new era of gameplay development and seeking new staff to support the changes. We are restarting our Minecraft world to fully implement the programming, lore, resourcepack, and datapack changes that make our server special. Our server aims toward a vanilla Survival experience with enhancements in gameplay flow and an extensive server lore to challenge the player in new and exciting ways.
The staff we’re hoping to bring on to our team will fall into two categories; Builders or Chat Moderators. Depending on an individual’s strengths, they will either help us create ingame locations for our players to explore on the gameplay side of operations, or they will protect our community through filtration of content, keeping our Discord server safe. You can be both a chatmod and a builder if you believe you have the time and energy to do so.
Our staff tend to connect with our players outside of the scope of their responsibilities. We encourage our staff to play in survival with our users in order to experience the server the same way they do. This kind of relationship facilitates more reasonable discussions with them about our authority, and encourages our users to trust and allow us to moderate. This attitude toward power is essential to our team, because as we command respect from others, we must be willing to give that respect in turn.
Individuals interested in helping us develop our server’s reputation, in uplifting our community and connecting with people who share their interests, can join our Discord server through this page. A direct link to the Builder Application form is here, and a direct link to the Chat Moderator Application is here.
Additionally, we have a Patreon, which you can use instead to contribute if you have the means and desire to.
Not interested in the additional responsibility of working as a member of our team? No worries! You can join our server as a regular player and still meet like-minded people to play Minecraft with. Our community also regularly plays Stardew Valley (using the Unlimited Players mod by Armitxes on Nexus Mods,) Jackbox, Among Us, and various other online games together. If you enjoy video games with queer neurodiverse people, and if you want to see all of the unique additions we have to offer, join our Discord server, linked above, or through our About page.
The new server gives us a better opportunity to implement the guild system. These are the leaders of the three guilds (you may recognize them from the stickers in our Discord server). The plan is to build guild towns over time in the first Homeworlds.
The Homeworlds are unique worlds for players to live and build in; each will have a limited world size. The server will start with three Homeworlds: the Prairie Homeworld, the Arid Homeworld, and the Alpine Homeworld. Each Homeworld is a collection of themed biomes from rivers to mountains. New Homeworlds will be added over time.
New players will start in the Nexus, where they can travel to the Homeworlds, and the Wilds.
The Wilds are a infinite world for players to explore, collect resources, and complete dungeons. They will be reset every week.
Here is a preview of the Prairie Homeworld:
And the Arid Homeworlds:
The server will still feature original datapacks and other resources, so returning players don’t have to worry about a lack of beetles. Some of the features may not be available at launch though, as they are still be improved and updated for the new server.
The new server is launching on December 26th. If you want to fund it, subscribe to our Patreon.
Archhive has not been doing well lately. We hosted a poll on how to move forward, and the community decided to start fresh. We are sad to announce Archhive will shut down at the end of the year.
You can use https://github.com/mircokroon/minecraft-world-downloader to download chunks before the server is wiped.
Our team has been spending this month preparing for the launch. The new server will come out on December 26th, to celebrate our third anniversary.
If you would like to help keep the server running and finance future updates, subscribe to our Patreon.
We’ll be making a separate post to talk about the changes coming in the sequel.

It’s been two years since the Deep Well was opened. Maybe this year someone will beat the dungeon and earn the Soul Heart?
Archhive is an anarcho-communist LGBTQIA+ community. The Minecraft server is vanilla 1.19.2 Java Edition. Join the Discord to get whitelisted.
The Deep Well
The ArchHive’s Halloween event is Live.
Be wary. The new Halloween town may appear small, but there’s something down below the ground, groaning and rattling in a way that you may be familiar with.
You’ll need items you’ve picked up on your adventures. In Plains biomes, you’ll find the stone tombs called Mausoleums, where the ancients were buried with skeletal keys.
The only way through what lays beneath the well is to work together with other players to gather these skeleton keys and overpower the hordes of undead that await you deep beneath the surface of the world you know today.
These challenges are not simply combat based. You will find new blocks, items, and even cute mob plushies to decorate your base with as you barrel your way through the dungeon beneath the Deep Well.
If you play Java Minecraft, we need all the hands we can get to gather materials for this event. Only a few days left now! Join us through our tumblr page, @archhivist, where you can find the link to our Discord.
In addition to all of the other 1.19 features, I've added 4 new sky biomes, the old growth oak forest, and the Sunflower Pasture biome seen above. Come check us out!
We're an fully vanilla anarcho-communist server ran by entirely lgbt staff with a ton of cool new features, most of which I've developed myself after working in custom content for minecraft for over a decade. Here's some more beauty shots of some off our stuff, using only the built-in shaders of the game.
We've also got beetles, 30+ new fruit, 140 new fish, and so much more content to collect and explore. If you're interested, you can find more info on our page, or just head right over to https://discord.gg/archhive
