this is my survival base, I built it while listening to "the house in the cerulean sea" on audiobook so it's semi-inspired by that house.

While these shots are in creative, I've already built the island, trunk and branches in survival on the ROG SMP. Lots and lots of grinding. Like, a week's worth, at least, and around 15 hours of build time, all done solo. Still need to place all of the leaves, but I've already gathered all the mats!

Why did I design this massive tree and island, you ask? Why, to hide my industrial area which currently includes: guardian farm, super smelter, cactus farm, and guardian farm's afk spot (which is also a tree farm), of course! That's the sane thing to do, right?!

Island: cyan terracotta, stone, moss, grass, tuff, mycelium, cobblestone, dirt, sea lanterns, moss carpet, and glow lichen

Bark: acacia wood, basalt, sea lanterns, gray carpet, and glow lichen

Leaves: green stained glass & panes, lime stained glass & panes, yellow stained glass & panes, azalea leaves, oak leaves, moss and soooooo many sea lanterns.

Shaders: ComplimentaryReimagined

Below is where it's at in survival. So hard to get ALL of it in a screenshot and looks a bit odd due to the lower view and FOV. It's 100% spawn proof to keep the guardian farm rates from falling.

Almost 300,000 blocks total when done (not including the farms themselves), and goes from sea level to build height.

things I took a screenshot of in minecraft that were not a build:

sleepy dogs in the new minecraft cherry grove biome

every time you see a pink sheep spawn in the wild you have to take a screenshot i don't make the rules

frogs!! this was my first time seeing them in survival mode

this is my fish, chicken, in my survival world. i think i thought the water reflections made them look a bit silly

in my modded survival world i got the mrcrayfish tv to play studio ghibli gifs. i was so obsessed there are 15 more photos of all the different gifs i played.

flying around in a hot air balloon. this was the coolest thing ever

visiting disney in minecraft, this server is so so cool. the picture on the right is a photopass

what i think is the aurora borealis through the skylight

this isn't necessarily the fastest diamond-mining method, but it's currently my favorite:

Underwater caving.

You'll need:

Pick of your choosing (make sure it's got either silk touch or fortune III on it, and you definitely want efficiency V)

Helmet with aqua affinity and respiration

Boots with frost walker

Magma block

a deeeeep underwater cave

It's way safer than regular caving because about the only mobs you have to deal with are drowned. Your biggest danger is in drowning, but if you've got the magma, you're set. It's like a little portable oxygen tank that can burn your feet, lol.

If you don't have frost walker to protect your feet from the magma, you can crouch on the magma and still get the benefit of the air bubbles, you just have to be a little more careful. I've been at this for a little over 2 hours and have the diamonds you see -- again, not necessarily the fastest or best method, but it may arguably be the safest.
